I never give recommendations but Urban Foresters exceeded my expectations. Two days before a major holiday I had a very large tree limb fall which took up the front of my lawn. I was nervous because I saw a crack in one the pine trees and I had family coming over. I called everyone within a 25 mile radius and they all told me they'd stop by after the holiday except Les. He understood the gravity of the situation and stopped by within the hour. He and his team removed all four large pine trees and stumps in a matter of hours. They did an amazing job taking down a huge tree in my backyard. All the workers were very polite and friendly. They removed a giant maple tree, took all the wood, ground the stump, and removed the root. They cleaned up the entire area and once they were done you couldn't tell there was ever a tree there! Urban Foresters,LLC used my side yard to take neighbors trees out. All well and nice, HOWEVER, ALOT of YARD DAMAGE to MY PROPERTY from their trucks & equipment. The OWNER has denied FIXING the DAMAGE AREAS PROPERLY. I have already fallen in a hole and the yard is one foot or more lower than the rest because it sank with machines and trucks on it. Oh yes, he put half inch of loom down. My yard is a disaster and looks like an ocean in some parts it is so bumpy & holes. To be a wonderful reputable business, damages should be repaired immediately to the homeowners satisfaction and yard left as nice as it was before they started. I do not rate this company very well due to their lack of commitment to the homeowner and their property. read more

Les and his crew are excellent. They arrived on time and completed a very difficult job, navigating between wires and two leaders on a sixty foot tree. The very skilled operator of the bucket truck and chain saw, with assistance from the hard working ground crew, were able to drop the branches and entire tree in a small area below the tree. This eliminated damage to the surrounding trees and ground. They did an excellent job with the clean up. They are extremely efficient and completed the entire job in two hours! read more

This is the second time I've hired Les and Urban Foresters to manage our trees. In both cases he had the right gear and manpower to tackle really difficult areas. Are the trucks big and heavy? Sure. But he did his best to minimize compacting the ground by using mats to drive over. In the Spring, of course, the ground is softer than later in the year. Some compaction is to be expected especially when you have a boom truck with a bucket that extends close to 75 feet! His guys are artists in the air swinging that bucket back and forth to review each and every cut that's made. It's not a matter of just shearing limbs. Careful consideration is given to each cut so that the trees are not damaged in any way. The rest of the team did an excellent cleanout of the debris shredding it as they went. All in all when they left there was very little evidence that they had been there at all and in a couple of weeks, it'll be even less so. The trees will have leafed out and Urban Foresters work will become more evident as the excessive overgrowth of the limbs they cut away will be more noticeable and the look will be more sculpted. Our back yard still looks like a cathedral of huge trees instead of an overgrown forest. Thanks, guys! read more
