This place is tiny. A cute little house turned into a Thai joint. There are 5 tables inside. The service was very nice! Everything we ordered was very very good but lacked the spice you would expect from Thai food. The chicken satay were marinated in curry - surprising. They were tender and zingy. The chicken wings were excellent. Simple but perfect. The pad thai was very good and fresh tasting. The chicken and eggplant was flavorful. If I lived nearby I would definitely frequent this place for lunch! A few drawbacks: there are no restrooms. What?? How is this possible? Is that not required by health code here in MA? The food lacks spice. There are no lunch specials. All in all, really good thai food in a cute place with sweet service. read more

Absolutely fantastic Thai food and a great, friendly staff! Very reasonably priced too - highly recommended! read more

Just picked th Crispy fried rice and it was Delicious!!!

Great Thai food. Always seems over look Krua Thai and Krua Thai II but their really missing out. The places themselves are on the small side but Krua Thai II has a drive through and you can always take it home. Stop in for awesome grub, you won't be disappointed. read more

this was the worst food ever! I thought I would treat myself to lunch and ordered takeout. I ordered simple yellow curry chicken. What I received was an extremely small portion of overcooked rubber chicken. The chicken was so bad, I couldn't eat most of it and if I had been at the restaurant, I would have sent it back. What a disappointment, since this used to be one of my absolute favorites! Not any more and not going back any time soon. Lisa C. read more

Krua is the best Thai I've found on the cape by far. My only complaint is that they are located on the mainland which makes it harder to grab lunch during the tourist season. During the fall however it is a great place to grab a quick lunch and watch boats traverse the canal from the park behind the building. Thier Pad Thai is perfection, silky and the perfect hint of peanut in every bite. I've always get an order of the Golden Bag and once even managed to make it home before eating the entire order. My wife and I order from here regularly during the off-season. read more

This place is a gem. Nice people, great food, good value and service. Seating is limited and tight - but it's part of the experience. It has a friendly neighborhood feel with plenty of regulars. A go-to place when nearby. read more

Stopped in recently for an early dinner to go. The woman behind the counter was so sweet. She helped me make a few selections. Food was prepared fast. I drove back to the Cape and when I got home, realized the order was all wrong. I went to bed hungry...Lesson learned, double check your order before you head out. read more

Always good. Always fresh. Great Thai food, right here in Buzzards Bay! Order takeout and carry it right next door to the Buzzards Bay Brewing Company taproom! read more

My friend described this place as a little shack and I kind of agree that it does look that way from the outside when you're driving along trying to re-find the hidden little Thai place. Food was good and portions were substantial! About $12 pp for dinner. Pay at the counter, though there is waiter service. read more

Very good pad thai and decent steamed pork dumplings. Crab rangoons seemed to be store bought. I just had this for take out after going by this place many times. The building is a little dumpy looking as is most of Buzzards Bay so it fits. I only gave it 3 stars as the kid who took my order seemed like he was being punished and had to work at the family biz for the day. And I thought the portions were a little skimpy for the price. I will try again as lots of folks in town say its great. read more

I cannot fully describe how disappointed we were with the crispy chicken pad thai. If we hadn't been so hungry, we would have sent it back; as it was we couldn't stomach finishing it. The chicken was greasy and over fried. They used the wrong noodles and the sauce was gloppy and disgustingly sweet. Authentic Thai it was not. Good food it was not. read more

Small, but that doesn't bother me. Good service. Good food. So why only 2 stars? Flies. There were dead (and living) flies all in the place. Before the meal arrived, I asked how to find the restrooms. Wow. what an experience. You go back through the kitchen (more flies) and there's a closet (that's generous) of a bathroom. Yuck. more flies in there. Well, we finished and left and haven't returned. Hoping we just caught them on a fly-tastic day in the heat of summer and it's not like that all the time. So best of luck to anyone else dining with them. Enjoy (the food was fine.) read more

This place is the best in comfort food, mom and pop feel, no frills, great ingredients including love, had the duck soup, crazy noodles and chicken pad thai Crazy noodles had just the right amount of spice and tons of vegetables duck soup was filled with vegetables as well which were all very fresh This place has huge turnover and was not very busy for seating on a thursday night but the takeout was non-stop while we were sitting for one hour A+++ hope this place never goes away read more

Oh, Krua Thai...no other Thai restaurant will ever compare. You truly can't go wrong. The pad thai, curry, crazy noodles, crab rangoons, anything and everything. Simply the best. A visit home isn't complete without stopping in at Krua Thai! read more

I can only say I am stunned at how excellent the food is at this tiny, unassuming restaurant. I love Thai food, and don't think I've ever enjoyed a meal more. This place would be worth the ride from Boston. Had crazy noodles, and whatever the #24 is on the menu. Both were spicy as promised, and perfectly seasoned without being salty. We ate vegetarian with tofu, and it was silky and perfectly cooked. The fresh spring rolls were a perfect combo of soft wrapper and crunchy lettuce with an excellent peanut sauce. The sticky rice and mango for dessert was a perfect finish. Where do they get tasty mango in November???? Water is served with lemon, very classy - but no alcohol on the premise. Didn't care a bit. I'm here for a couple of days and will be back tomorrow for more! read more

Best Thai food around! We love the crunchy chicken pad Thai. The appetizer sampler is awesome as well. Take out is always quick. There are few tables but I've never had to wait to be seated. read more

Krua Thai 1 - Thai Near Me - Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts

be careful using door dash. all prices are inflated atleast 1.50 per dish

I have considerd the old, small Krua Thai Buzzards Bay location "my kitchen," since moving to town over a decade ago. It became a "must go" whenever my daughter would visit. A "must go" to all coming to town, or who had not yet been. We loved the intimate, rustic, authentic dining experience. I was excited when they moved across the street to a larger, newer location. Unfortunately, everything went down hill after they moved. The ambiance was lost - it now feels like a mall food court location. Tacky decor and cheap seats - but a nice window seating area. But the overall layout is poor. I have never eaten in since the move. Then, the food quality began to decline - but pricing did not follow. I've had two meals delivered in the last 45 days. It is apparent in every bite of all foods that the recipies have changed - and not for the better. Everything seems "watered down," and flavorless. Nothing tastes like it used to at the old tiny, award winning, canal-side location. The Tom Kar soup lacks the bite of lime and is so thin that it now separates - which it never used to do. The chicken satay lacks any flavor identifying it as Thai food and it seems the strips have been soaked in water until that is all you can taste. The crab rangoon has an off taste, as if imitation cream cheese is being used. The peanut sauce is thinner, spiceier, but lacks the signature strong peanut flavor it used to have. The fried tofu is so full of water it squirts when eaten and lacks even the bland flavor of tofu! The golden bag is stretched with water chesnuts and more corn, but is the closest to the original recipe in flavor. Though, it too, is much more bland than before. Very sad. The quality is pathetically bad. I will not be going back again. And I will be warning everyone visiting town, or who has not yet gone, to eat elsewhere because the food is tasteless and overpriced. read more

Krua Thai is a very small Thai place (only about three or four tables). The waitress (who I also think is the owner) was very friendly. The menu has a great selection of Thai foods accompanied by pictures of the food itself which I found helpful. The service was super quick (around 10-15 minutes for all the food, 6 people) and the portions were normal sized. I ordered the shumai appetizer and the chicken Pad Thai. The shumai was pretty good but didn't appear to be homemade; seemed to be the generic kind you get at Asian restaurants, so that was a disappointment. The Pad Thai was absolutely delicious however, super flavorful with plenty of chicken and fresh-tasting scallions and bean sprouts. All in all, I would give the food here a 4 and the service a 5. I definitely recommend stopping here. read more

This is real Thai food! I've been in Thailand 3 times, each a few weeks, and the only thing I've got to say that this is the real deal. No fusion, no American style, just authentic Thai food. The pad thai is exactly like in the streets. Definitely worth it. read more

Was disappointed with the food for the most part. Dumplings were tiny and soggy. The vegetable pancakes were burnt and absolutely disgusting. The scallion pancakes were just okay. The vegetable fried rice and the beef lo main were pretty good. I probably won't go back, it was expensive and the food was kind of soggy. read more

The food is good here! The pad Thai is my favorite dish. Not the best pad Thai in the world but definitely worth going to.

Very disappointed since they moved..scallion pancakes kind of raw and vegetable was falling out of the wrapper... and No cookie

Thai food is one of my favorite things to order out and this is my favorite Thai Restaraunt on Earth. When I used to work in Buzzard's Bay I would order The Crispy Chicken Pad Thai about 3 times a week from Krua Thai because they made it to order, gave decent portions and provided prompt and courteous service with a smile. This is a very small, independent, family owned restaraunt (Located in from of the infamous Bourne Bridge and Mass. Maritime Academy) which has more than met my personal expectations time and time again. The owners could not have been nicer to me. Don't let the appearance of the building deter you, this is some tasty Thai food. read more

You would never think to stop here just by looking at the building itself but the food they serve inside will be a pleasant surprise. There isn't a tremendous amount of Thai food restaurants on or slightly off Cape Cod, but this place is no compromise. I would say they are one of the best Thai Restaurants in the State. Make time to stop by and grab a bite to eat. Take a stroll along the canal after you're done. Delicious food, great service, well priced, and decent parking. read more

A tiny restaurant on the woefully under-visited Main Street on Buzzards Bay, Krua Thai has yummy Thai food, a friendly staff, and affordable prices. Especially good is the Tom Yum soup, a spicy soup with chicken, shrimp, or tofu. Great fresh rolls, pad thai, and curry dishes. read more
