Main floor is mostly crystal grand chandeliers, attractive contemporary style lights, some 1960s-inspired and more. And, if you're on their website, you can shop by style, fixture type and browse through some of their inspiration gallery photos. Paula was a doll, showed us the upstairs filled with mostly pendant lighting, floor lamps and some smaller chandeliers. Since so much has changed in lighting trend, getting rid of our wrought iron dining area chandelier had to happen as well- especially since it has a country-chicish look I don't like anymore in my home. I called Totally Wired immediately, and the electricians came with a matter of minutes. Silly me, I had the switch in the wrong direction. I reached out to a few places, but Canal Sound & Light were the only ones who could do it. That was my lucky break. Saturday before the event, the venue calls to say their HVAC system is busted and they need to move us to a different location down the street. Canal Sound & Light were awesome throughout. Even though I'd never organized a meeting like this, they identified what we needed, gave us a reasonable quote for it, made themselves available for setup and teardown before/after the event, and even adjusted the equipment rental and pricing on the fly when they realized we didn't need a TV because the new venue had one in place already. Everyone was super nice, clearly knew what they were doing, and yet never talked down to me. And the sound was so good, the remote participants could hear us better than we could hear each other in the room. @_@ The event was August 2022, but I realized I never wrote a review. They totally deserve 5 stars. I hope they never go out of business.

Unfortunately, there were a few details missed during the reception and I would suggest that going forward Christian DJ Enterprises will take the time to work with their clients beforehand to understand there needs in these few areas: (These matters could have been easily avoided for an event this size if we were not brushed off prior that everything will be ok). The advertisement​ of the Christian DJ logo was center on the laptop​ placed in front of the dancefloor and did not go with the aesthetic of the decor. I would suggest that the company be transparent about this so those wedding celebrations​ that have a designed aesthetic is respected. The bridal party spent a lot of time choosing music tailored to each bridal member, but it was played out of order. It would have been beneficial if the DJ had looked at the program and read the names of the people coming out before playing the music out of place (or went through this with the bride and groom prior). Although the DJ has dismissed the responsibility to our Pastor who was volunteering as the MC for the introductions, it could have been easily avoided if the DJ listened to the announcements and played the songs to the people we had assigned it to. I highly recommend reviewing the program thoroughly with the client in the future. In particular any special dances such as an assigned 'father and mother song'. In our case, when the MC announced the 'father and mother song', the song played and as the song progressed, the song was garbled because the file was corrupted. (It looks like we had given the DJ a corrupted file of 'Take My Breath Away', but we are not clear as to when the file was corrupted.) I was unaware that the DJ had asked my husband to purchase most of the music he played. This is not a normal practice that I am accustomed to. This could have been avoided​ if the DJ professionally scanned the songs beforehand for major dances such as the 'father and mother song.' My parents practiced on early mornings for this song and the file was unfortunately corrupted. The extended family has been accustomed to family banquets with the DJs aware of how to be flexible and knowable​ with working with the program (even without an MC as present as our Pastor). Unfortunately,​ there were some miscommunications and missed details that could have been avoided. I'd suggest that the DJ and company thoroughly review the needs of the bride and groom before the day of the wedding to avoid these types of issues.

I'm updating my review to report on the actual wedding day music now that my wedding day has…read morepassed. I was absolutely pleased and am happy to report that everything went pretty much as expected and the music provided was fantastic. People were up and dancing and had a lot of fun. Clifton arrived early and set up his station really tastefully. He and his MC wore suits and were super professional. I had a ton of last minute changes and was super picky/particular providing Clifton with a long list detailing everything from the song to play at the cake cutting, bouquet toss, garter retrieval & throwing, first dances, etc. Clifton was VERY flexible and accomodating handling our wide range of music tastes/styles (we had Spanish music like merengue, bachata, salsa but also a lot of English music --contemporary, classic and even a few odd-ball quirky songs). He was able to roll with the punches despite the numerous emails with music selection changes both from me and my sister. My sister came up with the great idea to do a table "dance-off" of sorts and Clifton and the MC made it work out really well. The entire wedding was really fun, yet tasteful -- no "Baby got Back" played here, thank you very much! After the wedding, Clifton even sent us a video clip of the bridal party and guests on the dance floor - given that we did not have a videographer, this was especially appreciated and will be treasured!! If I have only one critique, it is that the Spanish MC stumbled a bit with his pronunciation and there were a couple long pauses between music selections (actually my fault because we changed songs the day of) but overall I'm really glad I chose Clifton and Christian DJ Enterprises and I highly recommend their services.
