For my (new) husband and I, one of the biggest factors we were looking for when searching for…read morewedding vendors was responsiveness. You could hire the fanciest stylist and most well-known makeup artist in Toronto, but what if they take 10 days to reply to your email or only give you the time of day a week before your wedding? That might not be a problem to some couples, but it was to us. It actually took awhile for us to find a makeup artist in Toronto who a) didn't have certain demands regarding travel, packages, etc., b) didn't take 5 days to respond to us, c) actually showed genuine compassion and interest in their work and craft, and for their client. I met Daniela a few months before our wedding, and knew she was the one! Out of over 20 makeup artists in Toronto that I contacted, she was the only one who suggested an in-person meeting to talk about my wedding. Honestly, I can't even express how much I appreciated that. She came to our meeting prepared, actually took the time to take notes and understand what I'd be wearing, the look and style I was going for, etc. I knew from the very start that, with Daniela, I was in very good, talented, and responsible hands. And as a bride, trust in your vendor is so key - and I trusted Daniela fully! On our wedding day, Daniela came early and prepared, and was totally unfazed when my mom changed her mind about what she wanted. She is the epitome of creativity, talent, and professionalism. And most importantly - I loved the look she gave me on our wedding day! She can do so many types of looks, and can totally diversify if you ask her to. Show her a picture of what you want - and she'll replicate it. She is so incredibly talented, and you absolutely can't go wrong with choosing her to do your makeup, for whatever occasion, wedding or otherwise! Thank you so much, Daniela, for being a part of our wedding day! Her service is an experience beyond 5 stars.

My make-up looked beautiful and I had loads of compliments about it all day. Daniela even gave me my own tube of touch-up gloss to go, so that I could keep myself looking fresh all day. She has a great set up with fabulous lighting and she did my make-up in a beautiful, natural look. She's also a very warm person and great conversationalist, even managed to make me forget I was getting married in several hours and I felt quite calm after. Thanks Daniela!!

The treatment still holds strong and my hair stands up to the humidity no problem. I was in Spain and Portugal this summer in 45 degree weather and not a frizzy hair to be seen...thank You! The good.. - I bought it in Groupon and got an awesome deal! - Jessica was super kind, I got totally lost and she was so patient as I ran to Timmys to grab breakfast. - Jessica answered all my questions and was a genuinely kind and warm woman...ill be back to try balyage! - her daughter is a sweetheart and there is such a nice family vibe in the salon, archer hubby also does hair, I love supporting family businesses. - I'll be back for balyage Jessica!! The bad... - As others mentioned Jessica left to work on others which as a customer I feel could be alleviated by spreading out bookings more. You want some one on one attention when you're paying so much. - The treatment felt disgusting in my hair I ended up washing after 48 hours and used sulphate free shampoo and 3 months later it's fine so don't feel pressured to buy special shampoo. - your hair is CRAZY straight and lifeless after the first wash but it gets better over time and fuel does come back. Awesome place and people...ill be driving over from Markham again!

False and misleading promotional advertisements, the important information is left out…read moreintentionally. They are using "bait and switch" marketing tactics to get clients, which is wrong. I saw their promotion on Instagram for Balayage for $275, which was valid until May 31st so called in to book an appointment and mentioned the promotion online, she said "yes" and asked me if I would like to come in the same day which I did. When my hair was done by Jasmin, I was asked to pay $ 375. I thought Jess made a mistake so I reminded her about the promotion but her answer was that promotion is only for stylists. She didn't say anything over the phone, nor any of this detail was in the promotion ad. (screenshot is attached). There are only 3 stylists, their mom(the owner) , her daughter, and the employee name Jasmin, they don't have any new stylists. The owner lied to face without any hesitation, it was just ridiculous. I liked Jasmin's work so I kept on going back. I have no problem paying more money for convenience or I like the work but not when sneaky liars try to be manipulative and take advantage of people. This is unethical. I know they don't care about my review or losing me as a client but this review might help someone who works hard for their money and does not want to be fooled.

VIOLATING EXPERIENCE. I wish I'd seen the Yelp reviews and not just the Google ones before coming…read morein for what I thought was a very simple eyebrow threading clean up (not shaping) a few days before my wedding. She began threading before I could even get the words out that I wanted no shaping, and promptly interrupted me, saying she knew what I needed. She chastised me for not hiring her for my wedding makeup (I've never met her before in my life). It was a bit more involved than I wanted, but was good enough, when she started to put eyebrow shadow (no idea where that makeup or brush have been) on my freshly raw eyebrows to show what a superior makeup job she would do. My one goal was to keep my skin pristine for my wedding, and throughout she seemed to have no regard for that. She also asked many personal questions, and didn't really listen to the answers, but had some rude responses. She pressed me to get my lips threaded, saying it looked bad. Against my better judgment I said yes, but kept stressing throughout that my skin, especially lip area, is VERY sensitive. She ignored my pain, kept going over and over the same raw areas again and again. She finally did agree that my skin was "very sensitive". When she gave me a mirror, after what seemed like forever, I burst into tears. I looked mutilated with bumps and swelling, and the skin was even broken on the corner of my mouth as I found out later. It was the single worst threading experience of my life and the largest (and certainly most unnecessary) stressor the week of my wedding. I'm so grateful for the skilled advice I got from other specialists to help bring it down over the next few days.
