Came in around 11, sat down for about 10 minutes as she was finishing up another man. Showed her two pictures of my haircut and my dreams became a reality. What can I say, 8 dollars for mens, 10 dollars for womans haircut only, and she even added a little styling to my hair for me. What a lovely lady and I'm so glad I came here. I happen to be a male, with a full head of medium length hair. Not sure what the issue is. Waltzed my way to Cosimo's and the owner at the front was as pleasant and accommodating as you can get. I was seen by Elsa, and she was and continues to be lovely. When I say, "just a slight trim" thats exactly what she does. She now cuts my son and daughters hair. We've even done a day of pampering for both of them. She even let my daughter wash my sons hair. This is a great, great salon. Sure it doesnt have the fancy vibe of Bloor West, but I am fairly certain that vibe is factored into the price of other places. Highly recommend, and great for kids.

Now I don't know if his slapdash work was on account of my choice to not wear a mask(they give me horrid headaches) but regardless of the reason for his shoddy work he has lost an almost life long customer. I was able to use my Visa credit card (they also take Mastercard) to pay. If you do pay the deposit, $20 is deducted from your total. The hair washing station is really relaxing, with lie-flat chairs so your neck doesn't hurt and sparkling lights on the ceiling. I'm so happy with my cut ($80 CAD before tip) and I think I got a great value for the level of service. I highly recommend Sam and this salon, his technique was so meticulous and I love my cut.

I explained this to Amanda, and she said if I could get there soon, she would cut my daughter's hair. The salon opens at 11, but Amanda started with us at 1045. The level of customer service was unreal. Friendly, accommodating, apologetic and I got what I came there for - a sophisticated haircut for my daughter that wasn't just a "who cares you're a kid" cut. Allan aggressively razored my hair, removed an unbelievable amount of density, and created short, choppy layers that I never asked for. Throughout the appointment my hair was positioned in a way that prevented me from seeing what was actually being done until it was too late. Now, over 8 weeks later, my hair is still a disaster. The ends are frayed, shredded, and breaking. It genuinely looks as though a weed whacker was taken to it. My hair had thickness, length, and health before this appointment. Now it looks damaged, uneven, and lifeless. Yes, he refunded the haircut. But a refund does not give me my hair back. I would have gladly paid thousands of dollars to avoid this experience altogether. What makes this even worse is what happened afterward. When I left an honest review describing my experience, Allan attempted to pressure me into removing it. After I repeatedly requested that no video of me be posted, a video was uploaded anyway. Instead of showing any understanding for the damage caused, I received emails telling me I should be happy with the result. Imagine being told to be grateful after your hair has been completely destroyed. I have never written a review like this before. In fact, I rarely leave reviews at all. But I wake up every day frustrated and upset over what happened to my hair. Unless I spend significant time styling it, it looks terrible. The excessive razor cutting created short, disconnected pieces throughout my hair that will likely take a year or more to fully grow out.
