One of the worst managed stores I have ever set foot in. Shelves are constantly not stocked. Produce and meat quality is horrible. Never sufficient service available and the overflow even creates long lines at the self checkouts. I saw how bad it was today and walked out and went to Aldi. What has made the experience even worse is that this store has become a hangout for unattended middle school and high school kids in the afternoon. They run around the store playing around and even harassing customers. Last time I was here I had this one group show up and one of them even shoved a camera in my face for his YouTube or something while I was simply trying to shop. Kroger has refused to clean up this issue with the store, and trying to shop there in the afternoon or early evening is a horrible experience. So even though I basically live across the street, I will not be back. Kroger is consistently running some of the worst stores in the area, and it seems no matter which location you go to, it's absolute incompetency, poor stock, and poor quality. I'm done. read more

This is a huge Kroger at Town Lake. They are very clean, and they have a pharmacy but no inside bank. Their produce, deli, bakery, and other sections are big. Since I'm not familiar with this Kroger branch, it took me a while to find the items that I was looking for. There were no alive cashiers, but there was a nice attendant who was assisting customers. I just feel that I make so many purchases at Kroger stores that I would like the "human touch" since I'm not working there. read more

I shop here frequently but cringe when I have to go to the deli department. There is never anyone out front ready to help you. And there could be five Kroger employees including managers working or milling around in the store around the deli department and see me standing there forever. I never shop at Kroger for this one reason!!! I had to stop at this location to grab 2 things. Every Kroger Ive been in has horrible fruits and vegetables. I needed some lemons and a few dinner items. This location was on my way home so I decided to try it. I went straight to the lemons. They inly had probably 20 of them. When I reached for a lemon there was one in the pile that was so rotten it had bugs in it and fruit flies flying around it!!! It was absolutely disgusting!! I've been coming to this Kroger since 1996. It remains one of my favorites for 10 reasons 1. Large, brightly lit store. 2. Clean floors. I never shop in a store that has dirty floors. If the front area is dirty imagine what the back prep area must look like. 3. Friendly and plenty of cashiers 4. Large health and organic section 5. The sushi person is the friendliest anywhere. She always waves at me like I'm her long lost relative. 6. Their Starbuck barista makes a killer misto. 7. They carry Almond dream yogurt. They get an extra star just for this. As far as I know only Whole Foods stocks this. They're the only Kroger I've been to that has these. 8. A large vast Asian section with about a dozen variety of Korean snacks. The only Kroger I've seen OTP like this. 9. A large selection of vitamins from a variety of companies like Jarrow and Nature's Way 10. Clean and neat parking lot. No cigarette butts laying around. No stray carts running all over the place. So here you go. 10 good reason to shop here. P.S. I prefer this Kroger over the Acworth 92 location. This location is much nicer and has more stuff then the Acworth location. Although it's always pa Jed it seems no matter what time you go. Every time I do a online order for pick up something Is wrong about it. Some times they charge me for the wrong things. For instance I wanted Sumo oranges and they are $2 each usually they aren't cheap so the person who prepared my order gives me navel oranges and charges me the sumo price I didn't noticed until I got home. I also got something I didn't order but wasn't charged for, this tells me someone was missing their hot dog buns. They also say they are out of stuff when they aren't. (I go inside and check for myself to make sure ) this happens ALL the time. It's aggravating. So my main complaint is the curb side pick up staff isn't great. The stores too crowded. read more

I have been shopping at the Towne Lake store for 20 years, and the service has deteriorated in the last few years. The last straw was when I went with my granddaughter, this past week-end. I went to the self check out, after paying with my card I dropped it and it went under the equipment. I am 76 years old and I cannot get on the floor to look for the card. My granddaughter was waiting for me in the check out area, I called her over to help me. Within seconds a Kroger employee I think it was a supervisor was telling me there are people waiting and I needed to go to customer service, never offering to help or asking what I needed. Along with the high price for the bread I use and no more Thomas Whole Wheat Bagels this is just making me sad that my favorite store is becoming my least favorite one. read more

Used to love this kroger, besides the bathrooms ALWAYS being dirty and out of toilet paper. This very nice location witched to mainly self checkout which is the biggest hassle! Its almost as bad as walmart! Lines of people into the aisles. The big self checkout conveyor belt barely runs smoothly and I'm bagging my own groceries at the end of it while a line of people are waiting and the girl at self checkout is playing on her phone and there's one cashier. Makes no sense. I loved shopping at kroger but it's honestly more convenient to go to Publix now. read more

Come on Kroger. It's like you want me to shop at Walmart (for prices) or Publix (for service) Your food is so overpriced unless it's sale and you use your Kroger card and than it's about the same price as Walmart. And your customer service is not good! You put these deals out that actually make your prices acceptable but you must use your Kroger Card AND you also have to use your digital coupons that must be selected and downloaded on the app/website before you begin checkout. (I think that's right. Very confusing but that's what the clerk said.). Please simplify this! All that hassle is just not with it! And your self check out machines are not good! They keep on asking you to place the scanned merchandise in the bag (to weigh it) but the food is already in the bag. The sensors don't work. They are far behind Target and Walmart's. read more

It's sad that this appears to be an upscale Kroger in an upscale area, but alas they're using fraudulent selling techniques here, IMHO. With Kroger's weekly flier in hand, I began shopping, hoping this Kroger wasn't of a lower standard than those I'd shopped at in prior months and stopped, because of unsanitary conditions, poor attitudes and poor selection. Starting at the meat department, two of the items that were on my list (Boston butt pork roast and boneless chuck roast) were both marked wrong, not reflecting the Weekly Sale price per the flier. Both were over $2/pound higher, plus there was only One chuck roast on display. (huge store, one 2 pound chuck roast - useless). An employee was stocking a meat section, so I asked for help. "Fiddling" with a hand held device, he scanned the barcode on the Boston Butt, got the price on the sticker, which wasn't the sales price. I asked about the prices and availability of the chuck roast. He scanned it, same thing, regular & not the sales price. He apologized, said he was new, and went to get a more experienced employee. The more "experienced" employee, acting as if he was doing me a favor, checked both prices and exclaimed "here are two more with the wrong prices..." I asked about the availability of the chuck roast and the "experienced" employee said "...that's the last one in the store," then grabbed the last chuck roast and a Boston Butt, mumbled something and disappeared. I've always had a saying I pretty much go by, Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. A mistake in overpricing one type of meat is understandable, but not two. To me, that's blatantly obvious. It's intentional. Kroger management is quite obviously aware, most shoppers wouldn't bother to check and it puts more profits on the bottom line and bonus money in employees pockets. So this Kroger may appear upscale, but their techniques are old school crooked. Lots of Kroger stores in the area and virtually all would be suited for Anything but a Kroger store. Did I buy anything? No. I left my cart, with a few items I'd bought on the way to the meat department, sitting abandoned in an isle. I left, all the wiser. Moral of the story? Shop for groceries anywhere But Kroger. Your experience will likely be oh so much better! No one I know has enough time to compare and confirm whatever they're buying at Kroger is actually the right price. If you feel compelled to go to Kroger, just take a wad of cash, walk into Kroger and hand it to a cashier and leave (it's the same as shopping at Kroger and So Much Quicker! read more

Trip to grocery store shouldn't be full of drama, stress or bad customer service. Spilled soda on floor, employees try their best to ignore you when asking where items are. I'm normally a very calm and a understanding person but as I was checking out today however, A cashier named Patrick shows a lot of aggression towards his co-workers yelling at them for no apparent reason and than pointed his anger towards me while I said nothing to him and was just trying to pay for my groceries. I remained calm than he kept yelled at me and rudely and obnoxiously asked me to show my ID for the alcohol, I handed him my ID while he's constantly repeating, "hand me Your ID" multiple time as he sees me reach for my wallet to pull it out. When Patrick sees my vertical ID, he than has a nuclear melt down and starts accusing me of being underage while I am 22 years old... he aggressively demands his co-worker to check my id, but it turned out to be real... he continued having a bad attitude even when there was a line of customers behind me. Management should consider hiring real employees, instead of half baked or rotten ones like Patrick. Also there should not be tension between employees in the work area, very unprofessional. You get better customer service at Walmart. read more

Updated review and this is for the floral department. I ordered a corsage for my sons date for Prom one week in advance. When we arrived on our scheduled time it was not ready. We had planned pictures and needed the corsage. It seemed that they were very backed up and did not plan accordingly. When I got the corsage it didn't look good at all. I am extremely unhappy and still paid $25 for this corsage that looks like it's falling apart. The next time I need flowers I will be going to either a local florist or Publix. read more

I still like the Kroger Corp overall as a grocery chain but I am very disappointed in this store. They had the best salad bar around and removed it to put in a pizza bar. Like there is a shortage of crappy pizza around. (There are four chain pizza places within walking distance. Like less than 1/4 mi Since I'm trying not to be fat. I'll be looking elsewhere. Too bad. This Kroger, recently, has had a huge changeover with staff and management. It used to be a place where we could get our shopping done and be greeted by cheerful employees at check out. Now, the cashiers and baggers are always on their phones when we arrive to check out. Besides their usual bland and shy "hello," they're always talking to their coworkers about how much they're tired of being at work and how inconvenient it is for them to be scheduled that upcoming weekend. There have been numerous times where we've had to wait for the staff to finish a conversation before they even noticed us! We've even had one of the cashiers comment about how ridiculous and unusual some of the food we buy is. Rude much? Another reason that I gave this store a low rating, is its produce section. It's very rare that I come into this Kroger and actually find appetizing fruits and veggies. Their produce is consistently old and it seems as if they don't make much of an effort to keep the area clean. Another problem this store has, in my opinion, is that they don't have a wide variety of products like the other grocery stores in the area do. Kroger is never up to date with the latest and greatest products until months (or even years, in most cases) later. Kroger is the closest grocery store to where I live, but with my experience with this store, it's worth driving the few extra miles up the road to Publix where the staff is always happy, the food is always fresh, and there's a greater variety of products. read more

Saturday I purchased a whole uncooked chicken from Kroger to cook for Easter. I'm not sure what was wrong with that brand but after we cooked it we could not cut the damm thing. The skin was tough and finally when we got past that it looked weird inside, it was all bones which was the reason it was so hard to cut. Needless to say that ruined Easter dinner. What happen to my neighborhood Kroger? Ever since Kroger's remodel, I hate shopping there. The isles are so narrow and then they put those stupid display racks in the middle of those narrow isles. If two people with buggies come down the same isle, one has to yield to the other before proceeding down the isles - are you serious guys? The only improvement recently is the hiring, for a while there they were hiring some, how should I say it, interesting people. At Christmas time in 2017 bought around $40 of Brazil, Walnuts, Pecans and Almonds in produce area....they were fantastic... This year(2018), went back for a refill.....they had no Brazil nuts but I bought a bunch of the others......they were awful...many rotten...guess they changed providers/company.....not up to Kroger quality read more

The WORST customer service!!! The attendants are so busy socializing they forget they are being paid to work and not chit chat amongst themselves & their friends that come in. They neglect to attend to the customers when they are trying to check out. It's nice to hold a friends baby, how about doing that on someone else's time. Tonight I had it when 3 of us were waiting for assistance and then she conveniently located to where not one of us could hunt her down. Going in the evening is even worse!!! They also play heavy metal at night and are restocking the shelves during the day and not moving to the side to allow customers to walk through the aisles. Rather pay to go to Publix or Sprouts.
