Worst Pharmacy ever! Pam refused to fill my prescription just because I asked her on the Saturday of Memorial weekend why she didn't pull over the car ahead of us in the drive-through who had 10 prescriptions to fill. I had been made to pull over before in the past when my prescription wasn't ready. Instead she alleged. I cussed at her and deleted my script from the system so no other Kroger could fill it. This cost me three days without medicine til my doctor worked again and could send a new script elsewhere since controlled substances aren't allowed to be filled until very last minute on my insurance. The even worse problem was the Store manager refused to pull video so we could prove we did nothing wrong. Reported her to Kroger Corporate as well as the state licensing department for leaving a patient without their medicine for no valid reason and not shopping any Kroger store ever again! read more

Ok so I showed up at 945 and there was a bald man working counting lottery tickets 15 mins before they closed. I stood there what felt like an eternity due to being the coldest night of the year . Than he noticed me standing there after he was done doing his counts on lottery and what not . . He refused to let me purchase any gas nor lottery . I responded to the time it was he told me to have another drink and to suck his dick . and continued to taunt me with his mouth . We drove to the stores entrance I spoke with manger he was nice I was able to shop get what I needed and still be out of store before 10pm . still not understand the man's outbursts of disrespect . read more

Don't judge me but every once in a while we like to eat dinner at Kroger. Not just any Kroger. The one at 161st and Spring Mill. We get the hamburger combo for $6.99 that comes with a burger, fries and a drink. We get the burger with bacon and grilled onions and mushrooms. The cook's name is Al. He is very friendly and cooks the meal to perfection, in our opinion. The onions on the burger are nice and caramelized. The fries are crisp, the way we like them. We've been to other Kroger's (the one on Rangeline and Carmel Dr) but no one cooks this combo as well as Al. At other stores we've had limp (half cooked) fries and onions that were not grilled enough. This isn't a burger joint so set your expectations accordingly. But it is a good, fast, inexpensive hamburger combo meal. read more

Bananas: 69 cents/pound. 2% milk: $3.99/gallon Eggs: $3.99/dozen Seeing nearly 75 people standing in line at 5pm on a Sunday, backed up almost all the way to the frozen food area, sweating in a store with no air conditioning: Priceless. To the store manager: Before you even chime-in with a "why not try our Clicklist service" comment, don't bother. If you have officially abandoned the notion of customers coming into your store to buy groceries, then do the honorable thing and just put Westfield out of its collective misery by just hanging a "Closed" sign on the front door, and get it over with. Kroger - Sooo crowded and no social distancing. - Grocery Near Me - Westfield, Indiana

They started doing semi-prepared dinners similar to what you'd find on Blue Apron or Hello Fresh. Dinner for 2 for $15. This is a good alternative if you want to make something fresh/different and you save in having all the extra packaging that you get with the delivery services. Most of the workers here are great. When I had my newborn in a sling and was unloading my groceries, a worker came out of no where to help me unload. That was service. Downsides are just the parking lot, how busy it gets. If you go at peak times sometimes there is a lack or produce/chicken breasts. I just try shopping during off peak hours and I can get what I need. read more

This Kroger has made me a Kroger fan. Staff is friendly and there is a good selection of grocery items. On weekends there is often a live vocalist singing oldies. They have good prices on produce and an outstanding cheese and wine selection. They have a chef grilling gourmet burgers today for customers to sample. The burgers were outstanding. We picked up Wild Gulf shrimp ($9.99 pound) and fresh oysters (59 cents each). They have a florist, deli, bakery, Starbucks in store, pharmacy and sushi chef there is also a gas station. They offer self service checkout or full service. The only downside is the parking lot is long and narrow and crowded for an Indiana grocery store. It is hard to get in and out of the lot when it is crowded. I recommend going early morning if possible. read more

went to Kroger's in Westfield, Indiana on 12/20/2021. I purchase 6 2.5 gallons of water and 4 28 packs of the bottled water, 1 3 stalk pack of garlic and a ocean spray cran-apple juice. when I got to the register the cashier said I will be back in a minute. she spent about 3 minutes speaking to another cashier while looking at me suspicious. she then returned and said do you have insta-cart. I responded by asking what is that. she replied with an attitude oh forget it. she then proceeded scan my items. after I paid she handed me the receipt. I asked her if she is not going to bag up my items. she said I am not going to bag up your water. I told her I am not asking you to bag up my water. I want you to bag my juice and garlic. so I asked for a manager or a supervisor. she yells out to another employee oh he wants a manager because I wont bag up his water. I waited for about 5 minutes. then I left. I then called the corporate customer service number to file a complaint. after I got home I called the store to file a complaint with the manager. I don't understand what her problem was. I was well mannered and professional with her the whole time. I sincerely hope it was not a race thing. Me and my wife are trying not to think that way. In the future I will not be spending my money there. read more

I would warn people not to use the "Pick up" option. We have quit using this store completely, but here are our last 4 trips before we just gave up. We were using pick up. 1. They sent us 6 ridiculously dented and bloated cans. Annoying but it happens. 2. We get a message saying, "We are running 2 hours behind schedule so your groceries aren't ready". Ok, seems like a lot, but we appreciated the heads up. 3. We get home with 3 bags of someone else's groceries and only one bag of our stuff. They told us we needed to drive back to the store and exchange the wrong groceries so we could get ours. Pretty inconvenient since getting them in the first place was not a quick trip. 4. Got to the store after working all day, checked in, waited 25 minutes when someone finally comes up to my car and says they are running behind and haven't even STARTED picking our groceries?! read more

Wow, the most stressful, unpleasant and unsafe shopping experience I've ever had in the COVID era. I typically shop at Market District, but I had a number of plastic bags to recycle so I went to the nearby Westfield Kroger instead, since Market District does not recycle. Grocery shopping is never a completely safe experience during the COVID epidemic, but many stores, include Market District, seem to so their best to maximize safety. Not so at Kroger. Employee masks seem to be OPTIONAL! Of those who were wearing masks, many of them were wearing them improperly, hanging down with their noses exposed. Some people must actually believe that they do not breathe through their nose as well as their mouth. The man at the meat counter packaged up my meat with his nose uncovered, thereby breathing God-knows-what onto my steaks! Some tall young man was pushing a palette around with no mask at all. Neither was the shorter young man helping him. When I asked the tall one why he wasn't wearing a mask, he said it gave him breathing trouble and he was asthmatic. When I asked him to wear one for my own safety, he slammed back at me that he would make me pay for his hospital bills if he had an asthma attack from wearing a mask!! A more senior employee asked me if I needed anything, and he was also wearing his mask down uncovering his nose. Finally I spoke with the store manager, and although I was glad to see she was wearing a mask properly, as I began to speak to her, she came closer and closer to me, just as the other senior employee did. Hello! Social distancing! When I voiced my complaint, she said "we're trying". Well, try a little harder! There are lives at stake! read more

Usually I love this Kroger because the burgers are so good. I would drive from wherever I was working to get one. But lazy staff and poor management ruined this location for me. Apparently they stop serving burgers at 12:50pm not 1pm. Because they are "short staffed" more like lazy and don't want to do their job. Two people were at the burger station, and no less than 5 in the whole deli. Tried to bring up to a manager only to tell me he didn't have time to deal with it. Never coming back, what a world we live in now, get a new job if you can't provide decent service.... read more

This is the WORST Kroger in Indy! Today was yet another example of the poor management at this store. At 10:00 am the day before Thanksgiving they are stocking the store in every department. Aisles were blocked with product stacked 6' to 7' feet high. At least one aisle was totally blocked at the 1/2 way point forcing shoppers to turn around. Other aisles were barely passable due to stacked up product & workers that could care less about the fact they were blocking customers. This caused a back up of shoppers everywhere. So much for social distancing not to mention the fire hazard. The employees were either crabby or rude. I'd be crabby too if I had to work here. At least three times I was either blocked by a worker stocking or forced to move because they wanted to push a cart through. While this conduct is unacceptable I don't blame the young workers as much as I blame management. This stocking thing is an issue all the time, but really extreme today. The store is not clean, they are always out of product and the produce quality is hit or miss. Thankfully Meijer is building a new store just up the road. I can't wait until the Meijer opens so I never have to set foot in this store again read more

Due to proximity, I frequent this store often. How I wish there were a competitor close by. If so, they would get all of our business. This Kroger is clean and has a decent selection of produce and various foods. One star was deducted for being overpriced. They keep raising prices due to their proximity monopoly. It's like shooting fish in a barrel. It's supply and demand, so it's hard to blame them. But I have seen ~20-30% price hikes this year on many items. Their deli is crazy expensive and most of their food behind the glass looks old and crusty. Not sure too many people are buying their dishes due to this. They really should take heed of Marsh's demise. They were over priced and people went elsewhere--like Kroger. Now Kroger is falling into the same greed-trap that will bury them eventually, too. I deducted another star due to them being out of stock on far too many items. This is so frustrating. The growing community of people here are almost forced to purchase at this Kroger so many of their items run out of stock and they are slow to restock them. Not good. For us, we plan to make more visits to Walmart and try out Aldies also as I hear they have fair prices. read more

My cashier, Wade, was very friendly, sweet and helpful. I'll be coming back for sure.

It's a little on the small side, but this Kroger is a keeper. One of the things that makes shopping more difficult (and take longer) is when the aisles don't make sense and food is grouped together weirdly. This Kroger is laid out pretty intuitively and makes sense. If you start from the right-most area where the produce is, then wind your way through the aisles until you get to the left where the cold and freezer stuff is, there won't be much time for your cold stuff to be sitting in your cart, thawing or getting warm. It's like someone put thought into where items should be placed! The organic section isn't too big, but I managed to find my favorites anyway. read more

Never enough lanes open, frequently sold out of items, staff talk about each other while checking out, most often you have to bag your own groceries as they don't have enough staff, aisles are blocked with pallets of merchandise for stocking during the busiest times of day. If you looking for moldy cheese and produce and rude employee that will tell your kids how to behave at the check out... that your place. I've been shopping there for 3 years now and I'm about to call it quits and take my money to good ole Friendly Aldi's! Strawberries are moldy and cheese had mold on them. Simple apples are just as expensive as the organic ones at Whole Foods. Rude employee (teen/young adult) who will tell your kids what they can touch and what they can't. Also had a experience when an old lady (70's) had to count my items to make sure I didn't steal things when I ask her to help me with the self check out machine. Instead did helping me she counted the items and left saying "you're good" like what the actual fuck?! Also the back door the one that gets you directly to the frozen section didn't work at all, we had to walk all the way across the parking lot to get inside! Ridiculous. Also today was get one Screaming Sicilian pizza the second is free. Got charged for both. Had to drag myself and 3 small children after being told by an idiot employee how my kids should behave, to customer service to get my money back. I'm done Kroger's! This Kroger is located in a shopping center at the corner of Spring Mill Road and 161st St. To visit it nowadays, you'd never imagine the howls of protest that arose when its construction was proposed. So I've heard... The store itself has a really nice deli section -- a variety of prepared sandwiches and other foods are available. Since I live about two miles south, it's the nearest grocery option available and a convenient option for lunch when I'm working from home. The rest of the store is OK but nothing special -- the narrow aisles and overcrowding don't help. The fact that it's open 24 hours a day is a plus, though. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the parking lot in front of this Kroger SUCKS. It's rutted, cramped, and not well thought out. People will drive through it as though they are out on the open road, probably because its aisles are so unbelievably long (which also hinders visibility for pedestrians). The Kroger on Route 32 is much nicer -- it might be little bit more of a drive, but it's not as cramped and you won't be taking your life in your hands walking through the parking lot. read more

For real the worst Kroger ever. I've been shopping here for almost 9 years now and it's never improved aside from a physical facelift and the parking lot finally getting repaved after years of awful potholes (I even got stuck in on once). They have the hardest time finding employees, which means there are incredibly long checkout lines. Clicklist is always a nightmare and never makes any sense. For such a highly populated area I think they really need to focus on better inventory and stocking. I sympathize with the problem with finding employees, however, I think there are some solutions in higher wages and even recruiting employees from other locations (many businesses will do this). read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this Kroger!! I love that the produce is almost always fresh and has a large selection. I love the way the store is laid out and organized. I love that they are pretty good about opening up more registers when lines start to form at checkout. I love that they offer Clicklist and the ease of using their online app. I hate that their customer service has gone downhill recently. Seriously downhill. Clicklist was a game changer for this mom with 5 young kids!! I spend over $1,000 a month on groceries, so using Clicklist saves me a massive amount of time. However, they can't seem to train their associates very well and their customer service is horrible! They also seem to have a very high turn over rate with employees. I can't even begin to count how many times bread and chips have been smashed by cans or other heavy items. And not just when being loaded into my vehicle (I actually get out and help/supervise that part now when I can), but things being bagged together that never should be! Bread in with cans is a big issue. I've had several times, including this week, where raw/fresh meat was in with vegetables. Who thinks that's okay!?! Also, substitutions don't always make sense. You wanted a pizza lunchable-they may give you turkey with crackers. You wanted blueberries-they May give you raspberries...those are not the same items and I guarantee they have organic or a more expensive version of the same thing they could have given. I literally cannot count the number of times I have been told an item was out of stock and I went in myself and found it. I used Walmart's pickup service while vacationing out of state and it was glorious! Plus Walmart's is free pickup opposed to $5 here. So I may give it a try here. I hate to give up fuel points and coupons, but it may not be worth it with the direction this store is headed. It's too bad since it used to be so much better, but they are in some serious need of training associates better and having better customer service in general. Finding raw chicken bagged with my strawberries and the horribly rude Clicklist associates at my last visit may have pushed me over the edge. It's sad to see how this store has declined in the 8+ years I've been shopping here. read more

The best Kroger yet. If you can't find something you want. There is almost always a staff member who is willing to show you were it is

This store has several issues. I've witness some very unprofessional behavior from managerial staff. One evening I was getting ready to check when I overheard a manager yelling about one of his employees to another employee. Then a couple minutes later I witnessed that same manager yelling at a kid (he looked to be about 16) in front of all the customers and other employees. He was really going off. The poor kid looked like he was trying hard not to cry. Whatever this kid did, he didn't deserve that. This should have been handled in an office without all the yelling. Then, as I was leaving that same manager was pacing around and yelling to anyone who would listen about how pissed he was at that kid. The other shoppers were clearly uncomfortable. I reached out to Kroger regarding the incident but they didn't respond. Also, they do not have an adequate amount of handicapped parking, and no spots near the pharmacy. My mom has a very bad back but still has to park in BFE because there are never any handicapped spots available for her. The pharmacy drive through was closed for months. Another issue I've had is with the grocery pick up. They're always out of items. I myself am disabled and order pickup because I fall often. One particular day they said they were out of Sparkling Ice packs and had no substitutions. I found this hard to believe so I went inside to get my drinks, and there were shelves full of them. On my way out I fell because the only handicapped spot that was open was right up against a large curb. Of course I tripped on it trying to get in my car. I hurt my knee pretty badly. I alerted them to this as well but again I got no response. I've had it with this store and I won't go back. Amazon has better prices on most of the food I get, and they'll bring it to my door at no extra cost. I'll just order from them going forward. Also, there's a new Meijer down the road. That Kroger really needs to get their act together. read more

The Pharmacy here is a bad joke. They screwed up my prescriptions so many times over 2 years. Their automatic refill system is so bad that I had to watch my pills like a hawk. I reset my pill schedule 5 times in 2 years trying to get order in my prescriptions. They would screw things up so bad and with weekends I would sometimes go for 4 or 5 days without meds. I'd call and speak to one of them and then show up at the agreed on time and there would be no record of my order, this after they didn't do a monthly auto fill. FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR HEALTH, choose a different Pharmacy. I moved to Vermont and it took 3 calls by my new pharmacy to get all of my scripts transferred and then 2 weeks later I got a call asking me why I hadn't refill one of my scripts. They are apparently all incompetent. I stayed with them for two years because my doctor had told me switching pharmacies would set off "red flags with the state" because a have a vicious chronic pain disease and one of my scripts is an opioid and I knew eventually I was moving to a different state. Thankfully my new Pharmacy is run by professionals. read more

The store is always, always under stocked. The produce is sub par, often out of celery so you're forced to buy organic. I worked as a manager at Kroger in Cincinnati many years ago. If our stores were ever in the condition the Westfield Kroger is in on a routine basis, we would have been fired. I only come here for food staples and sale items because of it being so poorly stocked. Quite often, the sale item I'm looking for is out of stock. It's hard to make your way through the store because they keep pallets of merchandise all over the store and frequently block isles. I'm a huge fan of this Kroger! Like, I could walk around for an hour. It's not your typical Kroger. They do have a Starbucks inside which I love. There's also a cafe with ridiculously cheap, good sandwiches made on the spot. The deli has a hot bar and salad bar. I find they have more "fresh market" type foods, different things not sold in the average Kroger. All of the employees are always very friendly. I live very close to this Kroger and I frequent this Kroger often. There are leaks with buckets above baked goods that have been there at least a year that I can remember. They have a nice sale section that you can really find some good stuff in that I like. However, nearly half of it is expired. I would caution anyone who goes here to check their meat. I find expired pork loins, roasts, ect. Whenever I bring this to someone's attention I almost feel like they are mad at me. But the real reason I am here to Yelp them up is one of the self checkout cashiers. I believe her name is Gretchen. Petite blonde. 100% Worst part of this Kroger. I avoid her like the plague. There have been times Ive waited in a long line just to avoid her. God forbid you scan something wrong or the U-scan glitches and she's called over. She slams her Starbucks down, tosses her phone in the little drawer, rolls her eyes into the back of her head and stomps over to you. I have heard her very loudly saying nasty things about customers and fellow associates alike on many occasions.
