They have a cute coffee bar, a deli bar and a ton of paninis and artisan deli sandwiches prepared fresh and already ready to go. I saw some really nice and cute grocery items - but more high-end than Kroger. These would be boutique brands at a local store. The ladies inside were both super nice and we chatted with them for a while. While walking across the street to get into our car we spoke to a local who lives in the building directly across the street bc he had bought a brownie and my husband's favorite CheerWine soda in a glass bottle. He was super sweet and said he eats there all the time and everything is good - sandwiches, coffee, baked goods. He said the owner was so nice. Overall, incredibly pleasant experience and would def. stop in here for a snack.

We started with the grape leaves, which were an amazing appetizer -- super flavorful and a great way to kick things off. I had the gyro salad, and it was huge with a super generous portion of meat. The hummus plate was another hit -- tons of hummus and warm pita, definitely sharable. We came here for a birthday lunch and it was such a nice time. Afterward, we walked across the street to grab a pie to go from Stella's Grocery. Highly recommend for tasty Mediterranean food and a fun, energetic vibe.

Stella's was a great spot to start a fun day of co-working and exploring in downtown Richmond. My…read morecolleague and I were having breakfast next door at Perly's, and stopped into Stella's for a couple of iced cherry blossom lattes to get the day started in style. This little shop is full of Richmond cuteness. From specialty groceries, to locally-made art, to unique gifts and treasures, I could easily have filled my suitcase with goodies. I ended up buying a gorgeous postcard here (designed by a local artist) - the design featured the coffee shops of Richmond. Of course, I forgot to take a pic (who me?) but it was adorbs. The latte was delish, too! I don't usually like cherry-flavored things, but on a warm morning this was the perfect touch. The edible flowers made it just that much more delightful.

I usually come to this location for coffee, specifically coffee during a long wait at Perly's next door. I love their coffee options. This is an intimate/smaller Stella's Grocery, but it has all the local goods the others have packed in. There is a good amount of seating at the front too. You can order your coffee drinks at the front. They also have all the standard Stella's Greek food to go options. At the very front you're greeted by cute Richmond souvenirs and gifts. They have favorites in store like Nightingale Ice Cream sandwiches, Blanchard's coffee beans, Mad Kitchen Co. postcards, and more. I'd recommend getting a drink from here!

As I said, they have sun sheltered parking off to the left of the main parking, a great option when it's 99 degrees outside, and a decent rain shelter too, though it would be a bit imperfect. The store is typical Whole Foods though a tad smaller than the location I'm used to, it still has great options for vegetables especially organic, and other healthy items like kombuchas and limited ingredient prepared foods and some great meat and cheese options. I asked for directions to find an item on the shopping list and had a friendly response, and our checkout person was friendly and helpful too. The market was busy and but not overcrowded and there is a lot of space around the perimeter (they say shop the perimeter for the best foods and WF seems to have given thought to giving you more room for that and a tad less for the aisles, a decent approach for my tastes. They were having an issue with their freezers on this day but had the wherewithal to direct customers to the location the frozen items had been moved to, a very customer-friendly move. The AC kept things nice and cool inside on a very hot day. And the meat department was even more chilled. From my Mother, While WF can be a bit more expensive, they offer Prime Deals often and carry a 365 prime brand that is dependably low priced and high quality. Watch for a once a year ice cream discount too!
