This is probably my favorite Kroger in the area. They seem to keep a larger quantity of sale items than the store near Cullen. So, If I'm shopping a sale I usually come here. Staff is fine, I haven't had any problems with them although they seem to be on the younger side. Lines can get a bit long after 9pm, that's my only gripe. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the way you handle the way you honor the price of an item that is clearly displayed by you. I was told it was my fault for not comparing the UPC code to match your price display when your staff was the ones who set up the displays. I will make sure all my friends and family avoid your store from here on out. And every blog and review program knows of your policy. I regularly buy groceries from your store for the convenience because it is right down the street from me. Sometimes like most of us I go in and find a deal like a drink dispenser that my sister has been looking for on sale. I buy it, go to the car, review my receipt and realize I was charged the wrong amount. I go to the guest service and ask them why I was charged the wrong amount by showing her pictures I sent of the displays to my sister. She calls the shelving manager who says it was my fault for not comparing the upc to match and that people often move things to the wrong place. I told her the pictures of the display that she and her staff obviously placed. She said not her problem so I had to get credit back for an obvious $4 difference. Really???? You couldn't honor a problem you created? Had you had a price checker, I could have checked the price. When do you take responsibility for the shelving and mislabel of your items rather than blaming it on the customer? All this for a $4 difference!! Watch out for Candace. She is one of the pharmacy techs and will KNOWINGLY give you the wrong medication instead of just telling you that they are out of something. Due to her childishness and dishonesty, a simple purchase of Claritin D resulted in an hour long fiasco with me running back and forth between Kroger and Walgreens. I went out to get Dreyers ice cream that's on special at Kroger's. However, it wasn't available at two different locations! It's the lactose-free vanilla. I couldn't find it at the Kroger nearest me so tried the Shadowcreek location. Well, they didn't have it either and I spent 10 minutes trying to find someone to help me. Customer service was closed and the cashiers had customers with lots of groceries checking out. I waited in line just to talk to a cashier. Finally I asked her if there was a stocker in the store and she said "I don't think so.!" I explained what I was looking for and she proceeded to tap on her phone and I stood there for a while she never said anything else so I left. First that's just rude but secondly, I noticed None of the cashiers were gloves they've handling the grocery as if COVID-19 is joke. Kroger really needs to do a better job out of concern for their customers as well as their employees. I'm very disappointed. read more

Do you ever wonder why if you go to the Shadow Creek Parkway Kroger on a Saturday morning between 6 and 8, the place is dead? Yet head to H.E.B. and the minute they open their doors at 6, people flock in. Let me give you the answer. This Kroger is absolutely horrible. Apparently Kroger is unwilling to pay to staff the store. But why the need? Just have the shoppers do the work of a cashier and a bagger. (H.E.B. offers cashier-operated checkouts along with a bagger the minute they open the store.) Kroger doesn't have to pay people to work the deli in the morning because it doesn't even open until 8:00 a.m. So if I need deli meat, are they expecting me to go behind the counter and slice my own stuff? (H.E.B.'s deli is open when the store opens.) Like fruit flies with your onions? They sure have plenty of those! (They must work for free.) Because they sometimes have some good sales, I still visit the store occasionally to take advantage of those items, but only in the hope that the sale items are even available. I never buy meat there...H.E.B has a much better meat department. After many times of heading to check out with a cart full of groceries only to find that I have to not only ring everything up myself but also find a way to pile items up on the very small platform until I can get to bagging it all up. My new practice is that if I arrive at checkout and there is no cashier available, I remove only the sale items from my cart and leave the rest of the items in the cart behind. Self-checkout should be an option, not mandatory. If it is mandatory, put me on your payroll. read more

That gas station is a joke. They run out of grades of gas but can't bother putting up signs to warn folks. And when you talk to the gas attendant. They say we working on it and I , the gas attendant, say on the intercom system what grades are out. The time he spends on the intercom could be spent putting grocery plastic bags over the nozzles. And I asked about the manager. He points to the person in the booth. Then why are you the person answering all the questions if she's the manager who never says a word when I complain . Kroger in Pearland is my fav store of choice. Kroger offers lots of choices and is truly a one stop shop. I recently discovered the Dr. Teals line (which I ADORE) and discovered that Kroger carries it. This sealed the deal for me. I shop 3 days a week at Kroger. This location disappoints each time I go. This last time we bought a few items , got them home and cooked them and the taste wasn't that good. I checked the box and it had been expired 6 months. I went back to that store and looked for the same stuff and all of the boxes were expired. Don't trust the hours posted on the door, they claim to close at 1 am, however they actually close at 12:50. The management of the store store does dolt type actions and this is very clear when looking at the parking lot and entrance to the store. i can see why the rating for this store are so low. read more

Check the register price -- prices are different from what is listed on the shelf. This store has definitely gone downhill. Basic products such as gallon milk and eggs are not on display--had to ask and wait for them to stock. It's just too much of a hassle to have to ask, wait, and then watch the prices when they ring your items. read more

I thought this store would be different than another Pearland location but NO... THEY NEVER HAVE WHAT THEY SHOULD and they're special employees don't properly label the shelves. This stupid 5 for 5 off deal is just another way for Kroger's to pump more money out of you HOPING you won't catch them! I purchased 5 puffs Kleenex boxes along with a million other things. Both puff options were tagged however they didn't ring up at the checkout. They are Sooooooooo antiquated in they're checkout system the self check out clerk said... you didn't buy enough product, then accused me of not ringing something up, only to find she was reading the wrong line...smh so then she said, you got the wrong option regardless of it being marked in the back. One of my favorite grocery stores. Although it is not closest to my home, it is on my way home. Everything is easy to find, is almost always stocked, and the produce is nice and fresh. They have a great fresh food bar and a good selection of take-home chicken meals. I highly recommend this grocery store. read more

This is the worst Krogers I've ever been to. All the fruit packages in plastic cups like loose grapes or pineapple chunks were not safety sealed, so they can be easily tampered with by anyone passing by. The checkout girl Alicia was on a personal call on the black store phone. It was obvious that she was on a personal call, whether it was with a fellow employee or an outside line was unclear. But this is t the first time I've been to that store and the checkout person is on a personal call on their cellphone. It's disturbing and unprofessional. im just about done with this place. The pharmacy would win the slowest checkout grand prize. One employee actually told me Yes when i asked if they prided themselves on how slow they can check people out. Now some of it is the clientel which i wouldnt call "classy". I have to say I have always enjoyed Krogers, they typically have the best prices and have the best selection of fresh produce besides going to a farmer's market. This location started to be my favorite, but lately I have been very disappointed. Everytime I go to this location it seems as though the raw chicken breast is partially cooked. The chicken breast is supposed to be all pink in color, but their chicken is white around chicken. I hope I'm making sense. At first I thought it was just from it being frozen so I bought a pack. When I got home I opened up the package and to my horror the chicken was partially cooked! I called them to let them know and they said because I opened it they couldn't give me a refund. That's not really my biggest concern, my concern is they can kill someone selling chicken like that. And today I had to return a bag of cheese because it was bad the expiration date was for 2 months from now. I returned the cheese, and when I went to look for another bag I noticed there was moisture inside the bags of cheese, water droplets inside the bag. This means the cheese is heating up and cooling down over and over again. So now I will have to find a new krogers, and call the health department for the other location. read more

I would like to start this review off by saying that I have been a Kroger shopper for over 31 years. This particular store has everything I need to handle my shopping needs except the handicapped electric scooters are never working properly, and NEVER plugged in/charged. I am a lung patient and I am on oxygen 24/7. I can not walk the whole store and do my shopping like a person who does not have disabilities. There are numerous times that I have tried to hurry and get what little bit of shopping I need done (because the scooters are not charged properly), just to have to change out scooters 2-3 times because they have all died on me. I have complained to two different managers, David and Thomas, and I was told that it is each handicapped customers responsibility to plug the electric scooters back in after using them, (Which means I have to do my shopping, take my groceries to my car, and drive the scooter back inside to plug it in, then walk back to my vehicle, all while juggling a tube, purse, and oxygen tank, causing me to have a greater risk in falling and hurting myself)... Now there are no signs telling customers this...also, why is it that regular customers who push regular carts are not required to return their cart to the store?? I have a lot of trouble carrying an oxygen tank, with tubing in my nose, and a purse, and don't need any excess chores to do for Kroger (For which I do not get paid). I feel like this is discriminatory against people with disabilities, and it needs to be addressed. I have contacted corporate office to and got a complete run around. So my advice to anyone with disabilities, and require a scooter to shop elsewhere. This Kroger store is not for you. read more

I have grown very disappointed in the customer service and the quality of the store. You can never find eggs and specific milks stocked especially on the weekends. Their quality of meat...specifically pork, is awful. Slimy when taken out of the package and the texture of the meat after cooking is horrible. And it ain't my cooking. I can go to the meat market and buy pork and cook the exact same thing and receive compliments on the food. When I buy the pork from this Kroger's my husband complains. Items are outdated on the shelf and you must take time to check each item. Veggies are not as fresh as they once sold. And of course.....you must ask for specific veggies because ...AGAIN..... store has not stocked properly. Cashiers have awful attitudes and my gosh ...your BAGGERS.....do not comprehend paper in plastic, nor do they know how to combine the two before bagging. One more thing......if I am lucky enough to walk out with purchasing eggs and bananas and light bulbs, please tell your baggers DO NOT place them in the same bag with can goods or heavy packages. I frequent Kroger, as it has been my preferred store for my family. However, today the Store Manager, Walter, appeared disheveled, unprofessional, and failed to manage the front of the store. He fails to manage customer concerns in an efficient and professional manner, and operates with a totalitarian attitude. I refuse to patronize this store in the future, due to lack of interest in the customers. There were three angry customers particularly in the line, to which he seemed to be disinterested when our concerns were voiced. Ironically, the clerk reviewed my receipt, and made the comment, "Why don't you purchase these items at Walmart? It's cheaper." I would have to agree with the previous comment that there is clearly not a difference in the level of customer service you will see exhibited at the Kroger (Shadow Creek Pkwy) and any Walmart.
