They NEVER bring you your complete order. They either don't know where to look, or Krogers out of half the stuff you order! Then, you get an incomplete order; but, the delivery fee remains the same and so does the tip! Then you're forced to repay ANOTHER TIP AND DELIVERY FEE to ANOTHER grocery store to get your necessities. I'm not doing this again! Four strikes and you're OUT! read more

This store was amazing seven or eight years ago. It has slowly deteriorated into a dump. Doors closed early evening to avoid theft. Arriving customers routed through checkout lines to shop. Weekly savings ads are never available. Soft drinks, bottled water, meats, and other items always sold out when you arrive to take advantage of the bargain of the week. May be management or may just be that Granbury is not as affluent it once was. Lots of ne'er-do-wells in the area these days also. read more

You would think that having H-E-B in San Antonio and close by that a H-E-B Plus could not be beaten. However, this Kroger in Granbury, Texas is an outstanding find. They have everything you could find an H-E-B plus and they are very well organized. They also have an area called the marketplace, which is a Clothing store with name brands like Carhartt as one that they sell. The people are so friendly at the store and the service is outstanding. It seems to be more than just a supermarket or a marketplace as they also have a delicatessen with excellent food. Within the store is a Starbucks, which is no surprise and you can eat in an area they have dedicated with tables and chairs very comfortably designed. We went to other Kroger's in the Dallas Plano area, but found those to be more like a regular H-E-B plus. Nothing compared to this one in Granbury, Texas. I would totally recommend visiting this store if you are in the area. read more

I order a birthday cake.... sent picture to my friend as I handled getting cake for her husband's surprise get together. I ordered caked with the golf cart, sand traps, lake (obviously picture on the left). I said I didn't want the blue around bottom edge since it looked more like 4th of July colors. So.... apparently she heard I don't want ANY blue!! Now tell me even without the blue is this anything like the one I ordered???!!! I was so angry & disappointed considering I sent the wife the picture of the one she loved & THOUGHT she was getting. NEVER again will I order anything from Kroger bakery!!!!! This is a relatively nice store for the most part. There are quite a few employees that could use some serious retraining about being kind and helpful to customers. I have seen several of the people supervising the self check out area being less than patient with some of the older customers. That is unacceptable. There is one person, however, who made this review worth the four stars - Joe in the produce department. He is the definition of above and beyond and making the customer feel appreciated and cared for. I hope the Kroger managers recognize him - staff like Joe are what makes the store experience exceptional. read more

This store is always clean, well organized and well stocked. There are several fun clearance sections thought the store that I like checking out to try out new products. The checkouts are always open and lines are short so even if there are some items that are higher priced than other stores, it's worth it to me here because it's a better shopping experience. read more

I stopped going completely...way too rude and impossible to find an employee to ask questions...last time was looking for frozen lemonade...went up and down the aisles 5 times...finally ask someone running to leave...he told me the aisle where it said frozen...STILL NOT THERE...and IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HELP TO YOUR CAR...mgr is crazy rude...people act like they are being forced to work there...go to self checkout and the woman there was beyond rude...I was saying I liked the new aisles where you can spread out to bag up your own stuff...she said I had too Much stuff to go thru self checkout...I said that like to ck out myself because the cashiers go too fast and something always rings up wrong and clearance does mot ring then I hafta back trsck.imto customer service line......she was livid...Im out...Ill just keep shopping at Braums...their customer service is non existent too but prices and selection are decent...just order most of my heavy stuff thru Amazon now... read more

I am widowed, elderly, handicapped, and wheelchair-bound. Every two weeks, I pay my housekeeper to pick up a "pick-up grocery order" which I order from home on my computer. This week, among other things, I ordered a gallon (128 fl. oz.) of Kroger orange juice, on sale at $3.49/gal as advertised on their website and in their newspaper flyer. I received a very fancy bottle of orange juice containing 89 fl.oz. and was charged $4.49. I do not drive, and I do pay to have my housekeeper pickup my groceries. I called Kroger's main office in Cincinnati OH to resolve the issue. I asked that an additional bottle of orange juice be dropped off to me. After being cut off twice, I was transferred to a manager named "Angel" who's only solution was to credit me for the orange juice, which does NOT solve the problem! Since I was both shorted in quantity and also overcharged, it might be of interest to The Kroger Company that defrauding the elderly and defrauding the handicapped are both crimes in the state of Texas. read more

Between Kroger sales, e coupons in the app and paper coupons... I save more at Kroger than anywhere else. Their meat and produce departments are much better than several other local stores. The employees are always courteous and helpful. read more

UPDATE AUGUST 31 2020: I understand that we are in a pandemic, but if you're going to be 1.5 hours late on my pickup order, just 30 minutes before I am supposed to pick it up is a RIDICULOUS time to tell me. Don't let me pick a time if you don't plan to honor it. You had to know you were behind already at that time. I chose that time because that was the time I needed the groceries, not at your convenience! Now I have to plan my evening around YOU. No cool. This was my first time (and last) to try pickup here. Looks like H‑E‑B wins again. This has NEVER EVER EVER happened there. It's ready when they tell me it will be. ****************************************** It just keeps getting worse. The produce selection is horrible. The only kale available was organic for $1.99 a bunch. I can get a much larger non-organic bunch for 99 cents at HEB. There are NEVER bulk mushrooms, often only a bunch or two of most vegetables. Just not impressive at all. I don't mind paying a bit more for quality but this is NOT quality. I won't even get into the checkers and sackers. So slow. I *do* appreciate that Kroger hires differently-abled people, they are often the most helpful people in the store, but that doesn't make up for the lack of service and awful quality of the produce. I was called at 4:20 pm being told that my order that I scheduled for 5-6pm pick up wouldn't be ready till 7pm. Note the girl was rude. That's pretty last minute to be told. Regardless of this information I still was going to come at my scheduled time and just wait because I wasn't going to waste gas to go all the way home to Lipan to then turn around. I pull up at 5:30 pm and get a call saying my order is ready. Interesting? I thought my order was going to be pushed? I ask and said something to the guy at pick up about the issue but was told " we do that sometimes". Umm seems like people are just wanting to be lazy or not do their job. Thankful I didn't change my plans. Very not happy with the customer service and will be using H-E-B pick up going forward. They are more reliable and have better customer service. read more

As soon as I walked in all smelt was what I can only describe as moldy wet dog, persuaded me from making any purchases.

I love the quality of their products and the prices are reasonable. I get lots of savings with my Kroger membership card and digital coupons. The fuel points has saved us money on gasoline. The store is always clean and the employees are helpful. read more

I was so excited when I tried this store and find their natural/organic section. That is 90% what I buy so this made my shopping experience quick and effecient. Imagine my disappointment when I went there the next time and they had gotten rid of the entire section!!! I am not sure if they are remodeling or removing the section entirely. I hope it comes back!! Loved such a wonderful selection of natural and organic which is something totally lacking across the street at H.E.B. I have always liked shopping with Kroger. Now that the COVID virus is surging, health experts are recommending masks in public places. Kroger has big signs saying "masks required" but lots staff and customers are not wearing masks. Kroger is a private company that has every right to enforce this rule. Went in today as an Instacart shopper for the first time, the o e positive is the store is very nice and the layout is really easy to get through but that's about where the good stuff ends. I got into the checker line and the lady was extremely rude, she chit chatted and laughed with the lady ahead of me but once I got to the front she just looked at me no hi hello how are you so I greeted her thinking she was just tired or hungry maybe I got nothing back, I wanted to try to see the best in the situation but I kept getting dirty looks and since the sacker had walked out the other customer I had no sacker and instead of helping me sack my groceries she refused to help me and just stood there starting then kindly greeted the lady behind me I'm normally not one to judge but that was really shitty read more

Has anyone noticed that Kroger raised their prices considerably in the past 6 months. I don't really know when it began but all i know is that it's much more expensive now. It used to be my go-to store but not anymore. Now it seems whenever they have a sale the sale price is what the old regular price was. That's really not very good. They're not HEB. I immediately missed several things I was used to regularly getting at HEB (Maine Root drinks, large bags of Julio's chips, fresh made chips, and more). However, they also have a few things HEB doesn't have, so I find myself shopping at both stores. HEB's prepared foods are a bit better quality, and they have better selection. Kroger has Starbucks. I was hoping that the Pan Asian joint was going to be a really quality sushi and asian grill, and was very disappointed when all they offered was cold, bland, and stale stir fry. The Starbucks out front and in the store is a bold move. Shoot, building across from another grocery store is an EXTREMELY bold move, in this market. When they put in a gas station, when HEB and Race Trac were already regularly at war, I rubbed my hands together, knowing there would be some great gas prices. Nice! I do love that I get fuel savings for shopping at Kroger, and I expect HEB will do the same, to compete. However, things cost more at Kroger, so the fuel savings (usually a couple of dollars per tank) may actually be awash....built into the price of the goods. I love that I can get a lot of household goods here....jeans, printer cartridges, phone chargers, and things like that. Between Kroger and HEB, I only have to go to Walmart a couple of times a year, and that's only when I don't have time to get the item off of Amazon Prime. Nice! The natural foods section is nice. I'm not a tree hugger, but when I can get healthy food that is conveniently packaged, that's a big win for me. Quality establishment! read more

Long time Kroger customer, I get all my prescriptions filled here. Today I was absolutley disgusted while waiting in line at the pharmacy counter. An older woman (had to have been one of the managers) pulled one of the techs around the corner and started yelling at her. I've never heard such unprofessionalisum in my entire life. She belittled this poor girl and spoke to her like a dog infront of a lobby full of customers and the other staff. This woman had no reguard or care for the numerous customers in the store, or the other employees for that matter. This is no way to treat any human, and from what I saw today, this company clearly has no morals when it comes to the staff they let run the business. I will be transferring my families business elsewhere, and will be contacting krogers corperate office. I wouldn't reccomend this pharmacy to anyone. read more

I wish they had PRIME meat. Also our favorite wines are a dollar or two or more cheaper at H-E-B /Per bottle. In all the Granbury grocery stores - esp Wal-mart I am so sick of reading "processed in China"on the labels. Caught in I e Alaska or America ..... but then sent to china! Not a fan of any Chinese products or any Asian countries. Farm raised tilapia is very frightening.!!! ALL ASIAN FARM RAISED IS SICKENING.! Kroger employees and management have THE WORST ATTITUDE of any grocery store in Granbury! Recently I bought a load of groceries there (my last from Kroger!). I was (and still am) dealing with severe back pain issues and it was all I could do to get my groceries out to my car. No one from Kroger offered to help me out. After unloading my cart, my back "caught" and I was hardly able to move. The nearest place to put the cart was 100 feet away, so I carefully pushed the cart into a grassy area next to my car so it wouldn't roll into another vehicle. Even this was a struggle. As I turned to enter my car, I hear a voice screaming at me from across the parking lot - "YOU CAN'T LEAVE THAT THERE! YOU HAVE TO MOVE IT!" It was a Kroger employee yelling at me! Everyone in the parking lot looked, and I was embarrassed. There were carts rolling all over the parking lot, but I took the time to place it where it couldn't roll, and I'm berated by a 16 year old kid? I was so mad I just got in my car and left. I called the store immediately to complain, and was connected to the manager, a very rude and nasty man named Victor Menchaca. Rather than apologize, Mr. Menchaca proceeded to defend his employee because he is "mentally disabled", and basically blamed ME for not putting the cart away where they wanted. Not so much as one iota of an apology, just more condescending attitude. If you enjoy being treated like trash, by all means shop at Kroger! read more
