I do love the cakes there. I have never received a stale cake from the neighborhood walmart. I guess Crowley Walmart doesn't waste old cakes. Just go ahead and sell it to a person who is buying a half sheet birthday cake. The only problem I have ever encountered at this location was with their re-wrapped expired meat. I opened a pack of supposedly fresh ground beef and it was rancid in the middle. Same thing happened with chicken purchased there. I stick to dry goods and canned goods now. Sometimes I get lucky and the fruit looks good enough for me to buy. What can I say, I'm picky. Let me not forget the best pharmacy and pharmacy staff. At the end of my transaction today, a cashier with the first initial B looked down at her phone and said something about "I have to take care of this", and only realized she was still dealing with a customer when I looked directly at her, smiled, and said thank you, which she did return. I ordered online and pre-paid, so it was easy to get in, pick up my food, and get out. I paid around $90 for a half boneless ham and generous pans of sweet potatoes, mac and cheese, green bean casserole, and cinnamon apples. While it would be a lot cheaper for me to make it all from scratch, you can't beat the convenience. Everything tastes great too! I'll be back for future holidays. Honeybaked Ham makes it so easy.
