got there tooo early to pick up my order not realizing they didn't open for to min....knocked on door because my phone had frozen and I didn't know what else to do....MELLISSA said we dont open for 10 min...I said ok, she the called me a Dumb ***!! I told her i heard her......went in told manager he said her would start a procedue. They still treat their employees like trash, awful benefits, abusive wage theft strategies, and immoral corporate stance obvious when hiring some employees are also shown how to apply for food stamps since their Kroger wage will be unable to cover simple needs one should easily be able to afford working for a massive business. What a pity because Walmart, Meijer, and others seem oblivious to the basic moral structure needed for a healthy economy which promotes a healthy society. Costco alone stands strong as an example on how to run a proper business. It's really tragic because I enjoy Kroger for their offers of B-Grade produce which should be mandatory. I dislike food waste and hate seeing good stuff thrown out. It's bad enough price gouging but only Kroger has the good sense to give B-Grade produce up for offer. This location is decently clean, been here a few times over the years even though I am from out of town. Rewards program is minimal, nothing special, would be better to combine gas rewards with other chains to enhance options since Kroger gasoline is very limited in locations. read more

Got groceries early this morning and all I see is employees standing around just talking and doing nothing . Got to the checkout and there were no cashiers just the self checkout was open . I had a cart full and I had no offers of help I am sorry nothing ! I bagged everything by myself and again people just standing there having tea parties . They worst customer service I have had . Not much personality here up at this Kroger or most of them. Good place to get the Covid jab up at the pharmacy. Keeping us safe from the Kung-Flu created in good old China! This Kroger offer the 1 and 2 jab services. 1 jab you be aight! 2nd jab you will feel ill for up to 48 hours possibly. You are covered! Other Krogers have the 1 jab service and gets the virus the heck out of there! Yeah right the heck out of there. Good selection of fruits up in here! very good selection of healthy options, fruits, veggies, all up around the deli. Good breads, eggs, you name it Kroger has it! Good sugar free ice cream! Worked at this location for 4 years, most grocery stores are the same, but I put this location above the rest, maybe Dupont is better. Employees are generally nice. I went to this Kroger today for a few items, not major grocery shopping. I was shocked at the condition of the store. The place looked ransacked. The shelves were empty. No bacon, no frozen potatoes, no pop tarts, no vinegar, no pumpkin spice cheerios, and no sausage. What is going on? To add to the lack of products in the store, my self checkout experience was also frustrating. The self scanners are garbage. Mine would not recognize my shopping bags and it took FOREVER for the kroger employee to come reset it. Then the scanner kept messing up with every item I would scan and put in the bag. I had 20 items to scan and my checkout process took forever. This kroger needs to hire more employees and get the shelves stocked. And do something about the self scanners. They are junk. read more

Earlier this week, my wife placed an online cake order for pickup today. This is to serve 70 people at 7 pm today. Long story short, the online orders don't always get "delivered to the bakery." So this is our problem? The fix: four quarter sized cakes that don't match and make it look like we thought about the birthday last minute. We look foolish. A small cake instead of a large cake will be presented. How did Kroger make this right? We paid the full price for what we ordered and weren't forced to pay more by buying each unmatched quarter cake separately. Wrong cake flavors. Wrong frosting type. Wrong frosting flavors. If this was my store, the customer would have paid nothing and walked out with a certificate for a future cake. Clearly, making things close to right escaped this management team. The last 2 times that I ordered groceries online.. a lot of my items were not available, when the item say "available" as I'm ordering. I have also ordered a bag of salad and when I get home to put groceries in the fridge, the lettuce is BROWN AND WILTED!!! Do the order pickers not see this or do they just not care???!!! Would you feed lettuce to your family that's wilted or brown??? Please pay attention to what you pick for your customers.. lesson learned.. I will just go shopping myself read more

After 17 years of being a customer! Having problems for 3 months on redeeming my fuel points. Weather it is the systems or a certain employee error I spoke with a newer manager about the problem. This manager told me I was doing something wrong. Very rude customer service. I went to return an item, and because my item was in a Walmart bag the woman at customer service said that I was lying where I bought the item. I took out the item and showed her that it had a Meijer logo on it, and she still said no. I don't mind that I could not get refunded for the item, but to get accused of lying about where I bought the item was ridiculous. I now go out of my way, and drive further to not shop here. read more

This place is such a joke. The expectation is that you pay a premium for your food, the either bag it yourself or you actually do their job by ringing yourself up in the U-scan. I'm so freaking over it, there are to many grocery store options in Ft Wayne now. 1,200 a month for what? No staff. Get it together people. read more

The staff is very helpful and friendly, the store is always clean and well-stocked (except for great sale items and free Friday download deals, which understandably sell out within a few days). A few of the long-term employees take the time to learn about regular customers. Some of them know my wife and I, and all three of our kids, by name, and take the time to listen to my gabby children and actually care about what they have to say. As to Kroger as a whole, their electonic coupons and especially the ones specifically targeted at our buying habits, are a great way to save money. Their seasonal sales are even bettet, discounting stuff we would buy frequently anyway, like children's medicines in the winter and bottled water in the summer. The fuel rewards are great as well, and due to taking advantage of 2x or 4x points for gift cards (we buy lots of cards for fast food places and other restaurants we eat at anyway) we regularly see $.60 to $1.00 off per gallon. That can save a lot of money if you wait until your vehicles are near empty. read more

Well I am literally just leaving krogers on saint joe rd. I got thru the checkout the boy/man idk basically refused to put my all my bags in my cart. I mean I know it's a courtesy but the people before me had at least 4 24 packs of Pop boxes and he put all his stuff in his cart. I literally had two packages of water some fruit and some items for tacos. I didn't have too much of nothing at all I'm just wondering what I did wrong or what. I have cancer so it's nice after you load your items on the belt someone at the end takes it off for you. Is it a race thing? I'm sitting outside debating if I want to be the petty one and go back in and complain or if I just want to keep it pushing cuz I'm really not on that with anybody. I shop at this krogers everyday. Now I am done.I haven't done anybody wrong you can't see my face or nothing but nine times out of ten my goofy butt is smiling I literally spoke to the cashier and the guy. Best grocery store on the NE side of Fort Wayne. This Kroger offers clothing and more, so if you need a quick run to the grocery and something else this is a good choice. I like going for the occasional lunch as well with many options available. Coffee lovers should note there is a Starbucks located in this location as well. Great cheese section too. read more

Kroger is pretty great but I got to tell you to stay away from the one on Clinton. it is a constant disappointment they're always out of something if not another. It's like the red headed step child of of all the others .do yourself a favor, go to fresh thyme if you get out this way otherwise go to the Kroger on Maplecrest . there is no need to shop in one store when you have to shop at another just to finish your list. read more

I am not happy.....was shopping at your store on Aug. 3rd. When we got to check out line we had a huge cart full (I spent $317.00) Our sack boy did a very bad job of both bagging and loading. OVERLOADED our cart with bags which slid off cart all the way to car. OVERLOADED OUR SACKS with heavy goods.....several broke loading into and out of car. One jar broke....was so mad and frustrated we left it lay. Should have gone back in and spoken to manager but by then I was exhausted (I am 79 yrs old). Don't think we'll shop your store again soon.....we are Kroger shoppers.....we'll go with Georgetown or maybe Meijers. read more

It is ok overall but the deli is horrible. The service is dreadful and I have never seen people move so slow. I was the only one there and it took over 25 min to get a half a pound of pepperoni and a pound and a half of ham. Its great. The people are very friendly and always willing to help,even if they don't know where it is. I've never had a problem with this Kroger. The managers are always on the sales floor and not hiding in their offices. They keep things clean and who doesn't like good prices on food read more
