You ask them for help and they will actually stop what they are doing and direct you where you can find what you are looking for, if they don't know they ask someone or look it up. Very different than in other Walmart's I have been inside in Florida... where you are lucky to find an employee outside a register and they do not help you. Also when you live in an area where it gets really cold... you love the fact Walmart will actually bring your groceries to your vehicle. Nevertheless, I do notice that often when I come in here the store shelves are sparse. For example, I recently came last weekend into the Walmart because I needed to buy a litter box and litter for my cat. There were almost none left and the litter area was also starting to run out. I then tried looking for hard food for my cat, and her brand ,Science Diet, wasn't even sold. It's either that or I just couldn't find it on the shelf. If the shelves were full more often, I would definitely give this place a much higher rating.

Now got a message saying they have a hold on my account for the 554.31 for up to 10 days so won't have the money back for the TV until after Christmas and kids won't have there present now till that goes back on my card . I was able to buy homemade black licorice for $3. Homemade canned strawberry rhubarb butter to spread on toast for $4-5. They also have a huge discount section and the kids loved stretching their $5 budget and got a bunch of Halloween and Christmas specific candy cheaply for no other reason than it being the wrong holiday. My husband bought some Amish sourdough bread, but was disappointed with the taste. Upon looking at the label I noted there were a lot of ingredients. Just something to note. Not all Amish foods are created equal and not all items are organic or without preservatives. Read your labels, make educated choices and admire a store of thrifty, honest, and hardworking folks.

My family wanted to get me a cake and some candles. I had just moved into town and they wanted to make a small little celebration out of it. The store staff was very helpful, helping us find matches, a cake, and some candles. They were very nice and welcomed me into town. Really nice people! I have since come here a few times to buy some essentials, milk, chocolate, some microwave dinners, soda, etc. Not much I can buy since I am living out of a hotel with no kitchen except a microwave. I have walked around a bit and noticed their food is much cheaper than it was in Miami... especially it's produce section. It also has a fairly large section for alcohol. I am used to only having an aisle for wine and one for beer in my old grocery store back in Miami. They also sell hard liquor here, which is a change that surprised me. I will know more about it as I buy more often from here, especially food/ingredients I can actually cook. Still it's my neighborhood grocery store and like I said, the people are very friendly.

Yes, there's a limited selection, but the staff will do what they can to help; there's also a pretty awesome meat counter and bakery, and greenhouse/landscaping supplies. This is always the first place I go when venturing out in Putnam County-have to support the local business if you want it there.
