I love when Lexi is working self checkout because she gives this welcoming approach and she's always smiling in a sincere manner. She greets every single customer with a smile the whole time I know that because I'm in and out of there doing instacart and doordash orders. Lexi is just an all around genuinely good person. From my experience she is too good for the draconian environment that is Kroger. I'm glad it doesn't affect her like it does most Kroger associates. read more

I went to the Kroger store located @ 101 Fairview Road, Ellenwood, Ga around 3:30 pm on Sunday 11/02/2025. The cashier Tyriana was very nice. The issue: the cashier area is roped off, and the customer are expected to line up in aisle 9. The young person @ the ropes stopped me and asked if I was ready to check out? I said yes (I wasn't aware of the new policy/process for cashier checkout, because he was standing in front of the sign), he instructed me to go to aisle 9 to lineup. I said, " no customers are waiting". He advised "I know, you have to wait until they finish their transaction, then you can go to a line". With no one waiting, I said this is STUPID. I was in the process of going to aisle 9 as instructed - then HELL broke loose. Another customer walks up, same young person asks "are you ready to check out? She said yes, he says - ok you can go to register 10". And yes, I lost it!!!!! I said how are you going to let someone that walked up behind me go straight to a register? He says, "well more than one is open". I said some choice things, because by now I am pissed. I feel they are doing this with a 1/2 empty store to make people use self checkout. No EBT/SNAPS were (or going to be distributed this month), store was not crowded or busy at all. Then the final straw was the guy standing in front of the ropes, and saying while I'm walking by with my cart - "you better not hit me with that cart"! I cussed his ASS out professionally. I had no interest in hitting him or anyone else. I am disabled, and have mobility issues; fighting is not on my radar at all. While putting up my merchandise on the belt - I asked for the manager (blue shirt with black badge), that was just standing there like he didn't see us. I explained to him the situation, he starts making excuses - I walked away. I won't be back - definitely not to this location. I will also be calling corporate about this matter. read more

The absolute worst experience. I waited for more than 6 days for medication that I badly needed, and was promised to be processed in two days. They never followed up with me or updated my profile as they promised. This was the second time this happened. So, I moved my medication over to Walgreens and they had it ready within 10mins. Never again will I trust this Kroger Pharmacy with my medication. read more

They now offer curb side pick up! Store is always clean staff is friendly. Parking lot has been renovated seems more spacious. Deli got a refresh as well. Wine selections are a plus here. Now offering frozen ready to cook meal in the seafood department wishing for my sushi selection. read more

Its the worst Kroger I've been to. I don't think any adults work there just teenagers and they are rude and incompetent. It's a real dump. It smells and never has food stocked properly. I would post the pictures I took of the rude workers, but I'll just send them to corporate. read more

Terrible from the parking lot to check out. 2 EV parking spaces taking up the 2 best handicap spots in the front door. Water in the aisle in a frozen food aisle with the little "wet floor" signs trying to block a pond and no one attempting to clean up. Needless to say,now the water is tracking all through the aisle. Safety? This store never keeps up with demand. Since everyone is shopping for the bargains,these products are always low of not in stock. This store used to be neat and tidy and now is unkept. Poor management or corporate just not caring about the public,after all the pandemic is over,get your act together or simply give up,because this store will lose the customer base that really care. read more

So refreshing to visit a new Kroger. I usually go to the one in Decatur but it's always a hot mess! This Ellenwood location was sooo perfect. Fruit was fresh. Everything was organized and the store just looked cleaned. Will be shopping at this location from now on. read more

My recent visits to this Kroger has worsened my opinions of them. They are not getting better. They re-organized the store, moving the "organic" foods as I suggested - but its not the store layout, but the attitudes of the workers that is the major problem with this store. The customer service is dead awful. Employees are even more rude to customers - does management care? Cashiers call for bagging help and get ignored. Workers are walking around in uniforms shopping for themselves or on the phone, ignoring you or getting an attitude if you ask them questions. The cashiers commonly have conversations with each other, forming a "wall of backs" to the customers and walking away, not making eye contact so nobody "bothers" them. They still have an issue with keeping common items in stock. On a recent visit I was looking for Graham Crackers (Honey Made). I looked all over the store for them. I then started to look for staff to ask - one person sent me to the wrong isle; the second was too busy on her phone and shopping. I went the the cashier and there was a conversation going on with her and three other workers (the wall of backs). When they stopped chatting they all scattered like roaches when the lights come on - turning their heads so they could pretend I wasn't standing there waiting for them for 5 minutes. I asked the cashier and she sent me to the right isle - but the only crackers they had stocked was the specialty box. Where was the regular cracker boxes - the family size??? Nobody knows. That's how this store is getting - they act like they do not want to interact with customers. The customers coming in are not a bad crowd by any stretch of the imagination, so I don't get the attitudes. They have it very good there, as workers, compared to some of the rougher locations - so why not return the favor by treating people in a gracious manner? read more

I have always shopped at this Kroger. Now I'm going to Ingles more. The Kroger has that part of the parking lot that's for the order pick ups and it's taking up a lot of the handicapped and the close parking. This Kroger meets my newly lowered expectations, courtesy of my move here from San Diego. I guess the overall shopping experience is just different, I had to go to 3 stores to get one item. I don't know why but I find that most stores here only carry a certain items so it is quite possible that a store will not carry your favorite brand of ice cream and pizza, so be prepared to make multiple stops. Also, if the product you are looking for is out then be prepared to wait at least a week before checking back. read more

My family lives about 3 miles down the road from this location, and we've been going here for about 8 years. I'm not sure if they changed management or what, but we've had some pretty bad experiences in the past 2 months... my dad ran there to pick up some soup makings for dinner, sausage, seasonings, etc, he bought 10 items. He got home, and there was no sausage. Then there were a few other items missing that we're not shown in the receipt. When he called to ask if he had left a bag or something, they were very rude, and refused to believe him. He called the head quarters and spoke to them, and they weren't very different. It had gotten to the point that my family will drive, instead of 3 miles down the road to Krogers, we will drive 7 miles into Stockbridge to go to Publix. read more

Customer service here sucks!! They little lady that was there when I was there is the worst how can you claim to not offer a service that other kroger s do with absolutely no problem. I say this is what happens when you forget where you work this is a grocery store that is not yours, your mom's or your dad's. It belongs to someone else and you at the customer service desk. But you tell me it might have happened before but you ain't going to do it....then after a phone call you do it any way.....either you can or you can't.......so I guess you can. The new store manager they have in place now, Mr. Booser is simply a joke. I wish you could get Mr. Patel back who made sure the store was immaculate and handled his business. I spoke with Mr. Booser about making sure to have a product in stock that a lot of people buy (because it's been out of stock a lot since Mr. Patel left) and I talked with Mr. Booser about it twice and Ms. Valentine (who is no longer there) and the third time I spoke with Mr. Booser about it he said to me "keep bugging me about it"...meaning keep asking him about the product and eventually he will get it. I don't think so, your the manager, I asked you to keep in stock and you said you would, now I have to keep bugging you...this guys needs serious training...can't wait for the next manager to come. read more

I recently moved from Lilburn to Ellenwood and as such have started shopping at this Kroger since it is closest to my new home. I have only shopped there a handful of times, but am deeply concerned by the product quality at this location. In the past 2.5 months, I have had to make 3 different returns for product that was spoiled. This included a bag of rolls from the bakery which turned blue with mold less than 24 hours after I bought them (and stored them in my refrigerator); a package of Kroger brand chocolate candy coating that crumbled into dust when I went to use it the day after the purchase as well as a box of M&M Ice Cream Sandwich bars whose cookie part had also gone bad; and most recently, 2 packages of the Kroger brand break-and-bake jalapeno cheddar cheese biscuits from the refrigerated section - I refrigerated them as soon as I got home with my purchase Friday night and when I opened the packages to bake them less than 24 hours later, both were covered in mold. With the first return, I thought nothing of it, since bakery bread can go bad quickly depending on how long it's been on the shelf. When I had to make the second return, I got the same customer service cashier and explained my concerns, since melting chocolate and ice cream sandwiches are not something one would expect to go bad; she said she would be sure to advise the manager. With the most recent return of the break-and-bake biscuits, I asked to speak with the manager directly. Her name was Maria. I explained to her that this is the 3rd time I have had to return something I had just bought from her store because it had spoiled prematurely, that I was concerned about the conditions in which the products were being stored in the back before being stocked, and that I wanted to bring this to her attention. To my surprise and disappointment, she was incredibly dismissive and seemed utterly unconcerned. She kept repeating that she had not seen any similar issues, even though I kept telling her that I personally had brought similar issues to the attention of the store. She just said "well, I wasn't here for those and I haven't seen any issues." She did say she would follow up with the warehouse on the biscuits specifically, but she insisted it could not be a problem with the store since she personally hadn't seen any other issues, so it was obvious that she did not take my complaint seriously. I have never had an issue like this with any other grocery store, including my previous Kroger or the Decatur Kroger that I have been frequenting since my move (it is not nearly as conveniently located as the Ellenwood store, but the employees are more helpful and the food I buy isn't moldy.) I will not be shopping at the Ellenwood location again, and will likely shift a lot of my grocery shopping to the nearly Publix or Ingles that are closer than the Decatur Kroger for the sake of convenience (which is unfortunate, because I do prefer Kroger as a brand.) read more

The cashiers that work at this Kroger do not understand how internet coupons work. They do not understand that you can usually print each coupon twice and each one will have a different serial number on them when they print out. I gave them 2 of the same coupons that I printed on the internet and they told me that I copied them and that you cannot print more than one of each coupon from the internet. It is just this Kroger that thinks this way. Other Kroger's don't have a problem with coupons like this one does. I cannot believe that I was accused of copying coupons. This cashier was an older lady that looked like she had worked for Kroger for a long time because she had awards hanging from her name tag. This is pretty shocking that she would tell a customer such a thing. It was very insulting! It is too bad because I really like Kroger's sales and saving money on their gas! read more

I have to say this is one of the worst Kroger stores I've been in. Corporate really needs to step in and start fresh. The attitudes of many of the employees are pathetic. This is my neighborhood Kroger and I have to say I will never step foot in this Kroger again. I will drive to the Kroger or Publix in Stockbridge. Just one example of pathetic customer service. I came in around 11:20 AM to get some chicken tenders. I politely asked if they were going to have some chicken tenders and she rudely stated "not yet." She simply walked off and continued her conversation with another deli employee. She know that I come in quite often for tenders so she should be aware of what I'm there for. I assumed she was going to start cooking them but she didn't. She continued to have the conversation with the other deli employee while I was just standing there. About 7-8 minutes after that, another employee came up and wanted some tenders as well and found out they hadn't even started cooking them. It wasn't until then that someone started cooking the tenders. The rudeness this employee displayed was totally uncalled for. I'm not one of those people who think the customer is always right because I've seen some down right rude customers to the employees for no reason. I'm not one of those people. I am always polite and respectful to employees wherever I go. This female employee was obviously on her own time today because it didn't matter whether I was standing there waiting or not. Her tone of voice was also rude when I asked about the tenders. Like I said, I'm through with this Kroger. read more
