This Kroger, which anchors the large Shoppes at Hickory Hollow plaza, is a bit rough around the edges, but still a solid Kroger location from entry to exit. Most of the store has undergone updates in the past few years where a lot of the conditional defects were addressed. The store is bright, open and well laid out for a large location. They have the standard specialty counters including pharmacy, bakery, meats, seafood, etc...Unlike majority of Kroger locations around the area, there is no branded coffee shop or other outlet. Exterior, they have freshened up the facade, but the majority of the exterior, including the parking lot and vestibule are still in rough and worn shape. The store was clean of debris and trash, however there were several u-boats of stock and boxes left around the store that were not actively being stocked. It created a slight inconvenience in some aisles, especially when multiple folks were present. Service was friendly and quick at the registers. Between the cashier and bag attendant, they were chatty and welcoming. I found everything I was after and had no issues with the variety of product from fresh produce to meats to frozen goods. Additionally, this Kroger offers a fuel station, and you know I got me some fuel points to use! Overall, solid 3.5 stars for this Kroger location. Not my home Kroger, and I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here, but when in Antioch, I don't mind swinging by. read more

KROGER'S "NASHBORO VILLAGE" LOCATION: That PHARMACY has terrible, unreliable service. Trying to reach a Human Staffer by telephone is the longest, most frustrating process ever! Their Head Pharmacist, STEPHANIE, is a superior EMPLOYEE but she Only Works at the Nashboro Village, 2284 Murfreesboro Pike location and her hands are tied by Corporate Rules and Policies. Love the Floral Dept at this Kroger location. It's probably the best in the city. I have visited several locations. I like that it is immediately as you enter the store so you can grab what you need and check out quickly. The flowers are always fresh, area organized, clean and the staff is super friendly. I can always depend on this location to have exactly what I need. They have great arrangements already made up for any special occasion. If you don't see what you like, they can create something for you. The prices are very reasonable. They also have a nice selection of potted green plants, balloons, pick me up bouquet and small centerpiece arrangements. An added bonus is if you are lucky to shop on the days where they mark the flowers half off. In most cases, they are nearing the end of their "shelf life" but these flowers last a couple more weeks. read more

My last 2 trips resulted in the following problems: The marked down cookies rang up full price so I had to return to the store to get my $3.00. Customer service was closed at 10 am on a Saturday. My previous trip: My brand new coupon was rejected at the self checkout. I had a lengthy wait for help. Then it refused to accept my credit card, when I finally got help again they said I probably didn't scan something. I had. I had left my partly filled cart at an end cap while I searched for an item. I returned to find it gone. A clerk was returning my items to the shelves. So I had to go abd re-elect them. Really? Where's this fast attention when it's needed? Also when I abandoned the self checkout lane for a live cashier, she was chatting to a friend who had nothing to purchase. I waited a couple minutes and finally interrupted, asking them to please continue this later. Dear God how do they stay in business? I'd like to move so I am closer to any other grocery. read more

I wouldn't recommend this Kroger if there's a closer one you can go to. We've always had a problem checking out as the prices ring up higher than they are posted under the item and need help getting that corrected. I wouldn't mind the wait each time if the staff was nice about it. However, this most recent time, the staff said they wouldn't honor the posted price and that whatever rang up in the system was the final say. There are a few nice employees but the majority have been rude to my husband and I when we've needed assistance. The interior is also not the cleanest or very organized/welcoming. Shantel helped us fix the mis-marked prices this last time we needed help after we had been waiting for assistance for over 15 minutes, and we really appreciated her help. One manager in particular, Tina, was especially unfriendly to us and is the reason we will probably not be returning, even though it's the closest Kroger to us. We hope they can get their systems working better soon and that they can speak to the employees about their customer service. read more

I came into this store tonight at 9:55pm and was told by the security guard that I couldn't come in and all I wanted was the atm machine I didn't want anything else and he told me no sorry his boss said no! So I called his customer service and was told to come back that as long as I was in the doors by 10:00 I was ok! Now why would I want go back to a place that treats customers like that! OMG walking through this store was like walking onto the set of Night of Living Dead. We came in on a Sunday and were leaving the next morning so I wanted to grab a couple snacks for the road. We had gone to a tiny well worn Piggly Wiggly the night before that was well past its sell by date but the staff were friendly and it was clean and cheerful. This Kroger on the other hand looks nice enough and was probably remodeled in the past 5 years or so. However, there were food items strewn everywhere you went. Frozen items sitting on regular shelves. The floor. (Un)frozen pizzas in the cheese kiosk. Ice cream felt like it had been melted and refrozen (misshapen globs that at one point were probably pints). Staff made up of zombies. Customers just... yikes. Self checkout was full of baskets of half purchased food and one hand cart full of cigarettes and cookies was just sitting on the scale/register for no apparent reason. I don't know what happened there because the ciggies were also behind the counter but the cookies looked good so I grabbed them. read more

This Kroger has great pricing and a great selection, but DO NOT, and I say again, DO NOT use their delivery service. It is a sub-contracted service provided by Instacart which has to be the lamest company. My order was supposed to be delivered between 4:16PM and 6:16PM...it is now 10:20 PM and I still have not seen anybody. I have been given 3-4 different times that the order will arrive, the last time was 9:40 PM. And they ave the audacity to charge a delivery fee. after complaining, all they offered to do was give me a $10 dollar credit on my next order. Guess what...there isn't going to be a next order. Have been very disappointed with Kroger for the at least last eight months now. Let's talk parking first. I understand handicap parking I even understand expectant moms but, there is no way that many handicap are going to be at the store all at the same time. Plus let's add the Kroger grocery pickup right in the center of the parking lot. Parking is ridiculous. Let's talk checkout. Was in the store early on Saturday morning. Had out if town company coming in go to checkout no one there. Find a human and say anyone checking out? Nope no cashiers till 8. Go to self check had no choice. So much for pleasing the customer. Every item that was on sale or had a Kroger discount rang up regular price. That woman spent way to much unnecessary time having to correct my order. I spent unnecessary time having to wait for here to run around the store to find out if I was telling her the truth. Tea, let's talk that price 2.99 a gallon but only one gallon on shelf so 2 quarts would make a gallon. Really the price of the quart was the exact same price as a gallon 2.99. Now, what sense did that make. Had to wait another 30 minutes for them to get approval on a price. This store is sad no parking, no cashiers and screwing the customer on prices. This is the worst Kroger on Earth, brainless managers, cashiers that have no idea how to make change, extremely slow express lanes and poorly trained employees, what a fucking disgrace. Also, I had a checker tell another customer to learn patience or go to another line, seems like bad customer service igyou ask me. They never have any grocery baggers around, and when they do have them, they place dishwasher soap in with Chicken, we saw that and asked them to put it in another bag, my wife and I will no longer shop at that store, absolutely the worst. read more

I've never had a problem with any Kroger in any city where I have lived until I moved to this area and started shopping at this store. All of the cashiers are incredibly rude, they are more often than not out of stock on items I am looking for, they refuse to give rain checks for sale items that are out of stock, and the baggers throw the bags into the cart, bruising produce and smashing bread. Unfortunately, I work 60+ hours a week and this is the most convenient store for me. Stay away from this store if you can! read more

I never bought produce here unless I was desperate to complete a recipe asap. I lived right down the street, so it was a convenient location. Sales were pretty frequent. I give them a 3 based on the usage of them for non-perishable goods; for meat/poultry/produce I would travel to Publix, Trader Joes, or Whole Foods. This store is a nightmare to get in and out of the parking lot. There needs to be a 4 way stop sign near the fuel center on site as well when you first pull in. It's so dangerous. Additionally I don't buy produce here unless I'm desperate because the last few times my fruit has been completely rotted or molding. More often than not the staff working here isn't very kind and makes me feel like I'm an inconvenience. They are either silent or busy talking to each other. There is one redheaded young girl that almost always works Friday nights and we always try to get in her lane because she's one of the only nice ones. There are lots of kids that just run around like crazy and the deli/ice cream selection is lacking greatly compared to other stores. It's close to my house and if I need something I'll stop in but for grocery trip days, I drive 15 minutes to the other store for better service and selection. read more

Ordered a cake for my daughters birthday party. Called on a Friday to confirm they had the order and it would be ready for pickup on Sunday. The lady tells me on the phone that they had the order written down to be picked up on the Tuesday that has just past but its in the cooler and will be there when I come on Sunday. Ummm??? So you are going to give me a cake that is 6 days old? Then the lady says no it was made today. Soooo, if I did actually need it on Tuesday it wouldn't have been ready. The lady says well she made it Wednesday. Ok so at this point you are pretty much lying to me and I am pretty much guaranteed to have my cake old and more than likely messed up because the man who took my order was rude and acted like I was really ruining his day by having him take my cake order to begin with 2 weeks prior. Needless to say I cancelled my order and called Publix who happily took my order and had it waiting on me when I arrived. Icing at publix is so much better, we go many compliments on it as well. Never again for Kroger bakery, I would rather pay a little more for better service and product. read more
