Our new neighbors sent these over. And they are very good. Most of the time the buttermilk donuts can be a bit too sweet and hard but not these. Even 2 days later they are just as good as the first day. I have ordered their items via door dash as well and great quality and packaging of coffee and food. read more

Excellent service, very welcoming. I got a sausage, egg and cheese croissant , with a Thai tea on ice. They threw in a few donut holes free as well. For almost $20, I expected a decent sandwich. Instead, I got literally three slices of meat--one paper-thin slice of roast beef, one of ham, and one of turkey--that barely covered the bread. I've been coming to Kristys since the 90s LITERALLY. I grew up in the area and it has always been apart of our morning routine. Not sure if it is nostalgia or if it's actually the best donut. I always loved seeing the older man and woman run the shop, they were all so sweet to me and my family through all this time. It seems like the business has been passed on, or at least the older couple who once ran this booming shop have hung up the aprons and have passed in the spatula to their kids... maybe even grandkids lol.. I don't really think the new kids level of customer service is as great as the older couple but the donuts are at least! ANYWHO.. Kristys is a circle city favorite. The donuts are always fresh. So light and airy and appropriately sweet. I really enjoy that they serve bagels, croissants, fritters, breakfast sandwiches and more. They also have a lot of speciality drinks made out of powders. I really enjoy the iced chai, it's sweet, slightly spiced and feels of quality. As the seasons change, their donut colors and toppings will too. JUST AN FYI (important imo) I also was told that the tips you provide do NOT get spread out to the workers. So I won't be tipping here. Not sure where your tips go but the fact that this business does not give our tip to the employees working it in a fair manner is bad practice in my opinion. Hoping they correct this... or at least inform their consumers.. Came to get a donut and when they to ring me up they added a .50 surcharge for using card. So now it goes from 3.25 to 3.75! That's like 18% mark up for using a card. Not only it's unethical but it's illegal in the state or CA. I reported this business and really hope they consider changing this for future clients. This is a small little shop that serves sandwiches, donuts, coffee and other snacking items. The two ladies that are working in the front, I want to assume they are owners or something. They always seem to like to talk to each other. I believe they are Korean or something. I can't really tell, but I know they are some kind of Asian, LOL! I know I can't even tell sometime because it's hard. I do believe they were speaking Korean. They don't have a big selection on donuts. They make more of the simple types. Like glazed, chocolate, twisted knots, some donut holes, a few of them were fillings. I don't think they make specialty donuts here. They also sell a variety of different drinks like coffee and tea. Some sandwiches also. I have not tried their drinks or sandwiches, but I do see that they have a lot of regular people coming in for drinks and sandwiches. I might give those a try sometime. I usually get their donuts. I know... you guys probably think I'm donut crazy by now hahaha!!! The lady that usually serves I assume cause that's who I always get, she is kinda quiet to me. I usually tell her what I want, and she will say ok. Anything else? I'm like no I'm good, lol. I think it's cause I'm not considered a regular customer since I've only been here less than 5 times...she probably thinks I'm still a "stranger" because they don't greet me like how they greet their regulars. This one time I was in the store, they were having a full blown conversation with this guy until I told them I was ready to order. I was trying to see if I want to get 2 or 3 donuts and what flavor. DONT EVEN COME HERE ! Been there couple of times , yesterday was the ugliest experience from the actual OWNER and she said to be. We ordered two smoothies one taro and one banana and strawberries (keep in mind these are just powders not real fruit ), anywho we leave and my little one says the drink tasted weird but she'd drink it anyways. I tried it for myself and it didn't taste bad it just didn't taste like the flavor but more like gum. We proceed to go in and ask if we can switch the drink. As I ask her that first question (worker is sitting down with a notebook ), she asked what was wrong with the drink and I just told her it didn't taste like what ordered and if we can please switch the flavor. OMG! I swear I asked her to go milk the cow, she got upset and got off her seat and slammed her notebook. So yes literally her body language flipped. She's like well that's the creamer or something that they out that's tastes that way. I said yeah but my daughter was not happy with the flavor please change it for us. She gets so upset and says ok but we're not gonna change it again after this one. Immediately I said yes of course fair is fair, but you please please be a little less rude to it's your customers. She ignored and began making the new smoothie and just slammed the blenders and all the items she was using I felt so uncomfortable. I didn't keep my mouth quite and politely told her you know you really need to be a little nicer and she could care less. After she handed the smoothie I said who's the manager here and she says I'm the manager ok thank you bye. I told her I would be mentioning this bad customer service on here and she's just smiled and didn't care. I'm not here to wish bad in this business but really the "manager" should have not acted this way. I could have simply left with my unhappy drink for my kiddo but because this was her drink and I'm momma bear I wanted her ti enjoy it , and not to mention that now-a -days money is money and I'm making sure I'm happy with any dollar I give to any place. In this case it was here. Been here many times and always happy but this time this "manager" took it too far. Been frequenting this shop for 20 years. The family owned shop was well run and the doughnuts were just sweet enough and always fresh. Sadly they sold the business after working so hard for so many years. The doughnuts are pricey like everything wlse now but sadly it seems the new owners have decided to mimoc Krispy Creme by making everything just over the top sweet. I preferred the the fresh, squishy and just sweet enough without causing a cavity as they seem to do now. So please dial back the sweetness indicator just a couple of clicks.
