As someone on a fixed income; this MATTERS. Aloha original review: I was excited to see Dr. Lipat from her website, reviews etc. but was very disappointed when I actually saw her in person ...WHY? Because she says she is a chiropractor as well as energy healing, etc.--so I expected a more thorough evaluation and varied treatment. But after telling her I had a health challenge and was just coming off traditional treatment, wanting to get my energy back, and that my neck was out and hurting...she informed me she only does mainly 'energy healing' now. So, I lay down for her session, only to realize she was reading a form, doing vague muscle testing and going down a list I assume was for every patient. She checked what was good/not etc from that. She READ prepared affirmations then, for an hour? Then sprayed me with some Bach flower remedies. All I got out of this very $$$ (170.00) hour was a guided meditation I could have done at home. I gave her a hug and HOPED somehow she DID something. I love alternative medicine, am a retired surgeon who grew up in Hawaii and used Chinese Medicine al through College, Japanese magnets from Mom, herbs etc all my life--and energy healing too. I can FEEL energy healing and got ZERO from Dr. Lipat. So I waited 3 weeks, as she said it takes time to 'assimilate'. NOTHING. Dr. Lipat must educate herself more about my type health challenge as many of the items she said were good for me were NOT. High glycemic things, under cardiac/hormones she wrote 'hormones'--which means WHAT? Helping Foods? Many HIGH starches, glycemic foods that FEED my disease, Some of the BEST herbs were not checked at all, rec's high starches were recommended...etc etc etc. I feel, IMHO, that her personal do's and don't are imprinted to sway her testing because SO MANY of what she said were 'bad' are NOT for what I have. But common consensus says they are. (Ex: all nightshade veggies are bad) Whole grains 3/day? WTF? This FEEDS my disease! And what was good was not mentioned, what was BAD was recommended! I'm sorry--she seems like a VERY nice Human, but her treatment was a total waste for me; many of her recs would be dangerous for me, so I'll PASS here. Nothing personal; just NOT for me. At least I gave her a shot. I just was very disappointed from all the glowing reviews--she definitely has her 'fan club' on Yelp! aloha

Done. But the major thing she helped me with was another underlying health issue. My body was feeling "off" for a quite a while, and all of the blood tests that my doctor did came back normal. If you've ever known there was something going on with your body but test after test comes back normal and your doctor is starting to think you're a crazy person... try acupuncture, specifically Jenna if you're on Oahu. She listened to what I felt was going on and suggested a hair analysis test. Hair analysis shows a pattern of what is going in your body over time unlike blood or urine tests that just show the past few days. After getting the results it was clear that I had a heavy metal problem. Her advice, along with acupuncture, helped me get back on track. One year later, my body has gotten to a much better place. I'm so grateful! Also note: the location is tucked away on a private road. There is a guy that will come out and get in your face if you drive more than 10 miles an hour on that road. He clearly has nothing better to do... just a heads up.

I started coming here around May of 2026 and made a point to get services from most of the practitioners. When coming here, you get more than just a service for your body, you get caring professionals who want to see you all the way through your healing goals and journey. These folks are your biggest advocate and amazing healer. Nothing magical about it (but it seems this way when your years of pain dissolve after one session). I can't recommend Dr. Kristine Williams at Kathryn Taketa-Wong & Associates highly enough. I first…read morereached out at the end of 2024 when I was dealing with complex and overwhelming health challenges that were taking a serious toll on my daily life. I wanted a holistic approach--one that combined lifestyle changes, nutritional support, hormone therapy, and supplements. What I received was so much more than I expected. Dr. Williams took the time to understand the full picture. She listened with care and compassion, giving me space to share what I was experiencing, both physically and emotionally. What began as a search for answers around perimenopausal symptoms soon revealed deeper underlying conditions, including POTS and PCOS--things that had gone undiagnosed for far too long. Dr. Williams created a comprehensive, science-backed plan tailored to my specific needs, based on lab work, ongoing testing, and consistent monitoring. Appointments are thorough, typically lasting 30 minutes to an hour, and every visit feels intentional and collaborative. Dr. Williams always makes sure I understand what's going on in my body and how each part of the treatment plan fits together. She doesn't reject Western medicine--in fact, she incorporates it thoughtfully when it supports overall healing. When I was prescribed anxiety medication, for example, she reviewed it carefully and helped me understand how it could help in my specific case. One of the things I appreciate most about this practice is the team-based approach. You're not just getting one doctor's perspective--you're benefiting from the expertise of the entire group. The providers consult with one another to make sure every aspect of your care is considered, which makes a huge difference. As with most naturopathic care, insurance doesn't typically cover upfront, but this office is extremely transparent about costs and offers a range of payment options. If your insurance allows for reimbursement, they even handle the claims submission for you--something I've found to be a massive help. The office environment is quiet, clean, and calming. The staff is welcoming and responsive, and parking is simple thanks to the attached structure (with validation included). They also use a secure app that makes managing test results, appointments, and communication incredibly easy. This is truly whole-person care--rooted in science, compassion, and a deep respect for the healing process. If you're ready to invest in your well-being and want a provider who will walk with you every step of the way, I cannot recommend Dr. Williams enough. This continues to be life-changing for me.
