She is helping my body heal like it's never done before. I have sciatica and she could tell right away. I've never gotten acupuncture or gua sha on my hips so there's always a first for everything! I will tell you the moment after my treatment, I was able to lift my left leg very easily as before I can tell it was very tight. Jay and Micah are also very nice as well. Very pleasant people at this office. If you're looking to heal your body in a more holistic way, I would definitely recommend you come to see Dr. Annie Yang. You will definitely feel better every time you leave the clinic. Also as they say no pain no gain. Gua sha can be painful if you're not used to it and also cannot handle the pressure but I will tell you that after a few days your body will feel so much better!

I like THIS nurse and THIS doctor. 5 stars. Now, his daughter in law and son have joined his practice recently. And just so you know, they both have backgrounds in western medicine and they're learning holistic medicine, which is trust me, a VERY different experience. They're fine but if you're looking for a holistic doctor, I'd recommend Dr Pritam Tapryal. This would be a 5 star review but it's hard when the western medicinal docs are in the room recommending western options and you constantly have to explain that's not what you want. It makes your whole experience kind of annoying. I prefer him only for now or at least until they've fully embraced holistic medicine. At this point they still recommend western options and that's not why I go to this office.

In the past, I used a foam roller and tennis ball, but, they were only able to address a few of my issues. Yamuna is a complete system that works every part of my body. I have been taking Suzen's classes at the Honolulu Club and I am amazed at the results that I have been receiving. Here are some benefits that I've noticed.: * Pain relief * Better flexibility * More space between hip joints (to prevent hip replacement surgeries in the future) * Better range of motion after loosening up shoulders and related areas * Knee pain is decreased after unbinding IT bands with Yamuna balls * Sinus pain reduced after using Face Balls * Body feels relaxed after doing breathing techniques with the balls It's such a privilege to be able to learn Yamuna from Suzen. She worked alongside Yamuna herself, at her flagship studio in New York City for nine years! She is a Yamuna master and we are so fortunate to have a teacher of her caliber here in Hawai`i. She grew up in the islands and has returned home after being a broadway performer in NYC. Suzen has a magnetic personality and a radiant smile! She is nurturing and warm and always shows kindness towards her students. The students in her class are welcoming and supportive too. Suzen is a great teacher and often brings a skeleton model to class to to help us to understand the skeletal system. In addition, she often distributes pictures of bones, muscles, ligaments, etc. to help us to learn more about the parts of the body we are working on that day. Yamuna is one of the best health investments that I have made. I highly recommend taking Yamuna classes with Suzen!

It ached when I walked, and it ached when I sat. 2 - 3 months went by and no luck getting it to heal. I kept using and gently stretching the muscle, being very sensitive so I didn't further injure myself in the attempt to get it to return to normal functioning, but I couldn't get it to stop aching, and it wouldn't limber up. Two months later, maybe three and it still hurt. I went to one session with Suzen and it helped me finally turn the corner. Her adjustments finally made my muscle that had been constantly, subtly aching feel normal for the first time. I don't feel any lasting effects from my injury now. She has the training and equipment (Yamuna balls that help open up joints) to loosen up tight joints, and encourage healing. I would recommend her friendly, knowledgeable classes to anyone.

As someone on a fixed income; this MATTERS. Aloha original review: I was excited to see Dr. Lipat from her website, reviews etc. but was very disappointed when I actually saw her in person ...WHY? Because she says she is a chiropractor as well as energy healing, etc.--so I expected a more thorough evaluation and varied treatment. But after telling her I had a health challenge and was just coming off traditional treatment, wanting to get my energy back, and that my neck was out and hurting...she informed me she only does mainly 'energy healing' now. So, I lay down for her session, only to realize she was reading a form, doing vague muscle testing and going down a list I assume was for every patient. She checked what was good/not etc from that. She READ prepared affirmations then, for an hour? Then sprayed me with some Bach flower remedies. All I got out of this very $$$ (170.00) hour was a guided meditation I could have done at home. I gave her a hug and HOPED somehow she DID something. I love alternative medicine, am a retired surgeon who grew up in Hawaii and used Chinese Medicine al through College, Japanese magnets from Mom, herbs etc all my life--and energy healing too. I can FEEL energy healing and got ZERO from Dr. Lipat. So I waited 3 weeks, as she said it takes time to 'assimilate'. NOTHING. Dr. Lipat must educate herself more about my type health challenge as many of the items she said were good for me were NOT. High glycemic things, under cardiac/hormones she wrote 'hormones'--which means WHAT? Helping Foods? Many HIGH starches, glycemic foods that FEED my disease, Some of the BEST herbs were not checked at all, rec's high starches were recommended...etc etc etc. I feel, IMHO, that her personal do's and don't are imprinted to sway her testing because SO MANY of what she said were 'bad' are NOT for what I have. But common consensus says they are. (Ex: all nightshade veggies are bad) Whole grains 3/day? WTF? This FEEDS my disease! And what was good was not mentioned, what was BAD was recommended! I'm sorry--she seems like a VERY nice Human, but her treatment was a total waste for me; many of her recs would be dangerous for me, so I'll PASS here. Nothing personal; just NOT for me. At least I gave her a shot. I just was very disappointed from all the glowing reviews--she definitely has her 'fan club' on Yelp! aloha
