Birthday Flowers in the Age of COVID-19 -…read more Somethings in life must be celebrated on time regardless of surrounding risks. So it was that a bouquet of fresh cut flowers were required to honor my wife's birthday in the middle of a quarantine stay at home order. Roses didn't feel spontaneous enough, nor as crazy ebullient as the moment needed. No, the creative hand of a true florist and flora lover was the way to go. I used the third party online vendor I had worked with before, but to my good fortune they subbed out to Penny's in Glenside for execution. They were on time and on my wavelength. We left the package on the porch for a day out of an abundance of caution to allow any Covid cooties to be rendered inert. When we brought it inside to the kitchen, and unbound its wrapping, we beheld a riot of daisies, sunflowers, zinnias, red carnations, a few gorgeous coral roses and dried sinuatum. They were soft to touch and scented like the dawn of Spring. Most importantly, they generated the emotional response I was hoping for from the object of my affections. She kvelled like a purring kitten, and treated me like I was the celebrant, not her. Just as it should be. Penny's had it exactly right. I now have a new florist.

Glad I didn't read the recent reviews of this establishment before heading in. I honestly believe…read morethat this establishment(s) business practices did not truly reflect nor deserve its previous negative rating. Perhaps the line of communication was criss crossed along the way. I was shopping and browsing online for small bouquets of flowers for my daughters Jr. Prom. We both knew what we wanted as the main flowers of the bouquet. "Blush Peonies with Hydrangeas" was our request when we called in. We were also in luck because a shipment of Peonies had just come in. We were given a price quote and was told that we could pay on the day we had requested. I was a bit worried about the arrangement given I don't like other "filler" flowers like carnations and such so I went in the following day to discuss what we had wanted. We were greeted in the most professional way. After leaving I felt so at ease and confident that they will definitely do what we had asked for and envisioned. Went to pick the floral bouquet up today and was in awe....literally I got so teary eyed. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who is searching for a reliable, very reasonably price flower shop. Pictures that I've provided doesn't do it justice! Rule of thumb: When I doubt, reach out! Having an open line of communication is key to just about anything. Don't assume that what you expect is what you will get with a phone call or click on a button of a mouse!!!! Sorry for the long review folks!

The staff was extremely knowledgeable - helped me plan my containers in such a way as to prevent overcrowding, helped me with soil selection and volume and the specifics of caring for my hibiscus. They carried everything to my car for me and packed the soil into my trunk. Any place that has dedicated parking always gets an extra point from me. They accept cards.
