I don't quite understand how come everyone here is gushing about her service, I had experienced pretty much the opposite. I called, and wanted to discuss my project, asked if it's ok I come by. She was not in the most pleasant tone, and pretty much told me I should just email, not try to stop by her shop. Even I said it probably will be only 30 minutes, she said she can't take a break for 30 minutes. I had few questions, and was not sure about what I want, so I would really appreciate short conversation, or collaboration to set a direction for my project, but she does not seem to like to offer advises.
Two issues here that I am unsettled:
1)With such custom made and detail oriented business as she claimed, how can you possibly not want to spend few minutes to communicate with your client , or with material in front of you, and make sure the understanding from both side is evident and sufficient? Totally disappointed, specially her attitude.
2)If your are not a business open to the public, please specify clearly you are by appointment only, or address it's a private studio, no visit.
I came home, then prepare very detailed images, and description for her as she requested.
I am in the design service business too, I did not remember when I ever demanded my client in such way with almost saying, "you don't organize in certain way for me, I won't bother to look at your project" Understand maybe you are established business, and you want to only work with your rules.
