I had red hair for years and wanted to go back to my natural color, which is dirty blonde. I wanted to go some place good with stylists that are experienced in color correction. I've heard of Public Shoppe before but always was looking to find the cheap salons, which never worked out in my favor. It's a little pricier than average at Public Shoppe, but it is SO worth it. I booked my appointment with Ginny because the employee on the phone recommended her since she does color correcting. Amazing experience, 10/10. She's so personable, upfront with you, and sooo skilled at hair. Highly recommend booking with Ginny!! I came in with bright red hair, and after only one session, the first pic is how it turned out. Insane!! I still have more sessions so I'm not at my goal color yet, but so far I am blown away by the process. Go here for your hair!!!

I still cannot find anyone who can cut my hair the way they do it in Japan. I have really thick…read morelong hair and it gets hot and difficult to deal with in the summer so I like it when the hairstylist is able to cut away and layer my hair so that it feels much lighter yet the length is still there. If I'm going to spend 80 dollars plus tip then I want to feel different and look different when I leave. Frankie did seem like a very nice person but she was also afraid to cut my hair as if I was going to freak out about loosing the length. I didn't really bother to look at the prices on their website because I read that the prices were reasonable and there were only 2 money signs on the yelp website so I figured it wouldn't be that expensive, but shoot, 80 dollars for a trim is pricy for me. When I asked the receptionist dude to charge the tip on my credit card, he gave me an attitude about how next time I need to bring cash for the tip. Seriouslly, I just paid for an 80 dollar haircut and you're scolding me for not having cash for tips? Ugh...

This lady (middle age) was a hair stylist in Japan...but I guess she stopped learning new techniques and such. I now know I have to fly back to new york.

The ONLY reason why I decided to take the risk trying her out. I am very picky on the style of the cut and who does it. Even though at first I told her I wanted her to recommend me how she would want to cut it. I can tell she heisted in which why I gave her small guidelines. Even when I told her the length I wanted it to be she STILL heisted. I don't like hairstylists not being pleased on giving full range what they want to do with my hair. Even though I am pretty picky, I can be extremely laid back. Yes, I know I just contradicted myself since she had experience but was still young. I was sure she wasn't going to mess up my hair. Once again I am disappointed in myself for getting a basic cut but I had no choice she just looked at my hair and that was that. Look, I get it...some stylists don't like when you sit in their chair have no clue the style they want. But I wasn't clueless. I wanted her to have fun. Based on what she was telling me on how long my hair was and tired she was I would think free-range cutting would let her have fun. That wasn't the case at all. My bad.... I was going to give her another chance and help raise it a four star review that was until she mentioned a really cheap jab towards me. I gave you free-range you didn't take it! Not my fault, my dear. Next time I will make sure to have the exact hairstyle if I ever do come back. Ohhhhh wait!!! I won't be coming back. Because you lacked any creativity and any texture skills.
