I couldn't wait any longer, which is why I went immediately to the salon, in hopes they were going to accommodate walk-ins. When I arrived, the stylists were already working on their clients. So I sat in the lobby, waiting patiently and expecting they'd service me eventually. After 5-10 minutes, no one has acknowledged me, which I understand because they're busy and I didn't make a reservation for my cut. My breaking point is when they take a new client instead of me although I was here first and the person was also a walk-in. Still, no one bothered to ask whether they could take me in, so I stormed off, only to have one of the stylists pursue me down outside and assure me they could take me when they finished with the client. When it was my turn, I was swiftly set in the stylist section, where I saw the equipment was filthy and still covered in hair remnants from the prior client. I was happy that the hair stylist cleaned the equipment simply by brushing it before using the clip on me, but I would be more grateful if the stylist sprayed a disinfectant. I just hope I don't catch ringworm after this cut. The entire procedure the hair stylist was making small conversation to distract me from what had happened earlier since I was still furious but my mood changed once I received my hair shampoo the stylist used a hair scalp massager the device was great and helped my entire body relax I was this close to falling asleep. My hairstylist was fantastic. I enjoyed how the stylist empathized to the situation and handled it professionally. The hair stylist was efficient and attentive to my requirements because of you, I look good.

I had hoped for a facial and the Aveda Aqua Massage. When I checked in for my appointments, they asked for my Groupon for the Aveda Sensory Facial. The Groupon was scanned and nothing was said to me. Not until I was in my robe and in the treatment room. The aesthetician told me that I had used a Groupon in the past (which must've been years ago) and they either couldn't honor it or I could use it towards paying the full price of the facial. I forgot if I had used one years ago. The aesthetician talked to me about my massage. And it was just a salt scrub. I said no it was supposed to be the aqua Massage. And she said that wasn't what was booked. And I don't do those you'd have to see a regular masseuse for that. I just agreed to go along because I wanted to have a nice experience, but it wasn't looking too good. The salt scrub was OK but if it lasted a half hour I would be surprised. Between the "hour" facial and the body scrub I was in the room for maybe an hour and a half. The service was OK. Then I went into the steam shower area, which is always nice. I got dressed and I went to check out at the front desk I wanted a copy of the receipt because of the difference in cost with the facial and the massage. The woman said we only email them. I should've waited for my email before leaving. When I did receive the email I had started driving. So on my receipt, they did not give me the full $79 credit that I paid for my Groupon. They only gave me $63 in credit. Also, there's a $4 additional charge on the receipt. I called back that afternoon and had to leave a message because the recording said they were busy. No one returned my call. I called back the following day and was told that the additional $4 charge was to help offset the cost of the keeping the exceptional experience at the Asha Salon Spa??? I was told that they only applied $63 of my Groupon because they have to pay Groupon the $16 back. And that's how Groupon makes money. I have never heard of that before and I've used Groupon for years. They stood by their comments. I sent an email to Groupon who was supposed to get back to me within a week. I have not heard from them. At this point, I don't think I'll be using Groupon. If I do use Asha Salon spa in the future, I would make sure and double check I have the services I wanted, the prices and the length of the treatment clearly defined before I checked in for my appointment. It was clearly disappointing and not the experience that I've had in the past.

when I first met Jackie two years ago my hair was in need of some very serious attention. After a year of non-stop photo shoots and countless hair designs and changes, I knew I needed to make some necessary changes. When I walked into Jackies beautiful salon, I was greeted with her welcoming smile and then we sat and talked about my hair needs and goals. It was clear that Jackie's approach to my hair was a very proactive and time sensitive project. She was very clear on what I would need to do for optimum hair health and what that would look like over the course of a year. She assured me there would not be an immediate fix but that if I was patient and followed her plan, my hair would be long again and more importantly healthy! It has been two years now and my hair has regained its thickness and length and is finally soft again to the touch, I could not be happier! I have Jackie's experience and knowledge as a salon professional to thank for the wonderful results and now each shoot and show I host, I am confident my hair will look its best and that is worth the weight in gold! Thank you! Heather read more

I've been going to Jackie for about an year and a half now and I've always been happy with her service. I am really particular about my highlights being close to my scalp and I've never had a stylist do a better job then Jackie. Why pay all that money for color if you walk out with roots?? I go in to see her about every 8 weeks for highlights, low lights and a cut. While her prices aren't amazing, they are in line with the other salons in the South Bay, and her absolute insistence on you leaving happy is what makes all the difference. I've had a bunch of friends tell me they didn't even know I wasn't a natural blonde, which to me, is a great hair compliment. I am not interested in styling my hair at all, and Jackie has worked my hair into this great cut that looks wonderful even if all I do is brush it in the morning. I trust her completely to make me look wonderful! A handful of my friends see her as well, and we all have very different colors, cuts and maintenance levels. I will continue going to Jackie until I leave Hermosa Beach and move out of Los Angeles. read more

I have been going to Jackie for almost 4 years now and she is the BEST! She is great with both color and cut, which is hard to find. I have very blonde hair and am pretty picky about the exact color I want it to be. She is very consistent with the outcome and always happy to tweak it here or there to make sure I am very happy with it. I have sent some friends to her over the years and everyone still goes to her and now my mom drives an hour from the Valley to go to her as well. She is alway fun to chat with and just a super easy going cool person. Her prices are reasonable and it is a very mellow environment. I would recommend her to anyone and assure them that they would be happy when they left. read more

If you want a beverly hills salon cut and style with a double process color for reasonable prices and exceptional customer service - see Jackie. I too used to spend lots of $$$ at Christophe Salon in Beverly Hills. Then I had a friend doing my hair (which she screwed up during an experiment) and my ex-husband (haha) referred me to Jackie to fix it. Since then I've been seeing her consistently for the last two years. Jackie is the most professional haristylist I've met - always gives me exactly what I want in a timely manner and has gone out of her way to accomodate me with appointment times. Oh yeah, and the male attention I've been getting since she's been doing my hair is off the charts!! read more

I have been going to Jackie for several years now, and she is the bomb diggity! As anyone with blonde hair can attest, color can go very, very wrong. too blonde and you look ragged and brittle, too ashy and you look all sorts of mousy, too copper and you look toe-up. jackie has a magic gift of getting the PERFECT color and tone of blonde highlights and lowlights every time! i have always left loving my hair. it's so worth the drive down to the south bay! read more
