What a great find. I have wanted to try Krispy Krunchy Chicken for some time as we moved to the…read morearea that this location is at. Great chicken. Had a bit of low-key heat that I loved. The Jo-Jo's cooled down a bit on the drive home, but Google has already explained how to reheat the remaining Jo-Jo's and chicken. The biscuit was also extremely tasty and a blueberry version was also available. They seemed to have honey drizzled on top...just excellent. Since it was my first time, the person behind the counter, (sorry...I didn't get his name) was so engaging and helpful. He explained how how to order and what comes with what. I will be back

It's to your left as you enter the gas station. They have a standard menu with Krispy drumsticks and thighs, a Krunch Box consisting of 2-pc, 3-pc, or 4-pc, with a side and biscuit; Or you can get a Family Meal with chicken tenders. I also noticed they have a cajun chicken sandwich, some wings, and I think I saw they had nuggets too on the menu. Ranges between $2.99 for a small side or for their yummy potato wedges. To typically between $6 to $13 for a box, and $20 to $30 on a Family Meal depending on what you get. Since they opened recently, I only ordered a 2-pc Krunch Box with a biscuit and side for only $5.99. Stick with the mashed potatoes and gravy, or the mac-n-cheese. As I just wasn't a fan of their jambalaya. But the chicken itself was just crunchy and flavorful. Gotta love them Louisiana spices! Service was welcoming, only I didn't get the girl's name (with glasses). She was nice. She set me up, I paid at the gas station register, and was on my way. Now, I'm not saying they're the all-time best fried chicken, but they're decent enough to satisfy your cravings. And I've gotten past the reactions of "eeew you bought fried chicken from a gas station." HA!!! To that I say, it's just means more fried chicken for ME!!!! Don't knock it til you try it!!!

We arrived at this food truck just as they opened at 2pm on a relatively clear spring day in March…read more This place is a little awkward to find. Off Main, it's behind "Pour Choices", but you can also walk through the parking lot of the dispensary that faces Broadway (and across the alleyway that divides the block. What's great about this location is they sort of share the dining room (indoor and outdoor) with the Thai food cart that's next door, and the taproom (pour choices). So, you can order food, go in and get a pint, and then find a place to relax and eat! The outdoor area also has fire pits and heaters under a covered area, so you'll be able to use it year round. The food here was, great, with one exception. I ordered the Jambalaya, and it was perfect. Not too spicy, a good sized portion, and a really good amount of chicken and sausage in it. Honestly, I'm writing this review about 6 hours after we ate, and I'm seriously wishing I had some more of it right now! My friend ordered the Muffaleta sandwich, and he said it was delicious, especially the olive salad in it. He was a bit surprised because he'd always had it heated (he said they usually bake it where he's from in Louisiana). However, it was so much food, he ended up taking half home and he's going to try heating it up as leftovers. The sandwich does have cheese on it, but when I mentioned my issues with dairy, they said that they could just not put the cheese on it. When we were ordering, I considered the sandwich without the cheese, but the jambalaya just sounded too good! I'm taking one star off because of the peanut butter pie my friend ordered. It's an Oreo crust on the bottom covered with a peanut butter flavored filling, and topped with a bit of a sauce that we couldn't really figure out what it was. The peanut butter flavor overpowers the flavor of the Oreo crust and the sauce topping it. Also, it may have been the temperature, but the filling was...stiff? I'm sure it's not, but it's very closely similar to the consistency of straight peanut butter. All that said, our overall visit was great! Having access to the taproom and not being made to feel rushed to turn a table like some other places make you feel. A great time and I can't wait to come back for more jambalaya!

It was more like a dreamy bread pudding than traditional French toast -- perfectly soft and custardy in the center with a golden, slightly crisp exterior. Topped with fresh, juicy strawberries and the most decadent clotted cream, it struck that perfect balance between rich and not overly sweet. And then... the alligator sausage on the side. Yes, you read that right. Alligator! It was flavorful, just the right amount of spice, and cooked beautifully. A fun and unexpected treat that totally worked. The service was warm and attentive, the food came out quickly, and the portions were generous without being over the top. You can tell there's real thought and love behind every dish. Lil La Oie is doing something special -- definitely adding this to my regular brunch rotation!

We ordered: The Pickle Gambit, Country Mac's Cajun Mac & Cheese, Mac's Famous Mac & Cheese, & the Cinnamon Roll Beignets. The pickle spears were lightly, yet crunchily breaded & piled high on a plate with yummy, dilly ranch & a second slightly smoky dipping sauce. Both Mac's featured perfectly-cooked shell noodles & decadent cheese sauce! The "reg" Mac had hearty chunks of bacon & fresh basil ribbons. The Cajun Mac was SUPER flavorful & had andouille sausage bites & VERY moist chicken tenders. The beignets were pillowy-soft & served with an amazing cinnamon sugar cream cheese drizzle.

We decided to try the Nashville chicken breast with hot chili oil on the side. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy. I also ordered the lemon poppy seed slaw. Our friends got the salmon Chowdah and also some spicy chicken with Cajun fries. They remarked that the salmon chowder pronounced Chowdah looked to be quite thick and was very flavorful. I gotta say it was some of the best fried chicken I ever sampled. The slaw was very tasty as well. Great combination of savory and sweet. My daughter and I split an order of chicken as we wanted to sample the beignets. We ordered the Killa bees and they came out fluffy and hot with a very nice honey drizzle. Ryan also gifted us with a second order of beignets of our own choosing, and we asked for the Good God Lemon ones, and they were very sweet and tangy. For the five of us the bill came to right around a hundred dollars which being from California I found very reasonable. It's a small place, and you order first at the counter and then go and find a table. If you are looking for some very tasty chicken this side of Nashville you should stop by and order some at this unique place in Salem Oregon.
