First, the inconsistent size of the chicken pieces. Every so often, I'll get a piece of chicken that is like 2-3 ounces, or about 1/2 the size of a normal piece. It's happened to me so many times that now I just go back to the counter and show them the tiny piece of chicken. They're usually pretty nice about it and will just give me another small piece to make it like a normal portion. Second, the weird pricing is a bit unfair. The single slider used to be $6. Over time it has gone up to $9, so basically $10 with tax. Fries are like $4.50 a la carte. So if you ordered 2 sliders and a fries a la carte it would be $22.50. But the meal with two sliders and fries, I believe it's $15. That's a nice discount for bundling the items, but sometimes I only want a slider. Slider alone should be like $7, not $9.

I also ordered a lengua taco. Lengua usually has a unique texture and appearance. Between the marinade and preparation, I couldn't tell it was lengua. The complimentary chips were a little on the hard side. The service was good and friendly. Zapata is located in an area with ample parking. Looking forward to try more restaurants.

I saw that they had Henhouse beer on tap, so I had to stay and drink it there to enjoy a Henhouse properly. We ordered cheese pizza for my kids, and created our own pizza combo dish, along with hot wings. While waiting, I enjoyed my beer along with family chat, and reviewed the meaning behind the "twist" part of their name. Pizza Twist is a California original back in 2014 and now has 60 locations in the US and Canada, and just recently opened a new one in Jersey City. Its twist is not only that it's a Chicago style pizza but with Indian cuisine influence. Woww!!! They have Tikka Masala Pizza Twist, Spicy Lamb Kabob Pizza, and Curry Pizza Twist, which I'd love to try on my next visit. When we received the pizza, it was very delicious, good flavor combo that we created, more of vegetarian but added pepperoni to it. The price and value for what we had was decent, can' say much for BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse. What I witnessed from this group, however, was incredibly disappointing. The tone, entitlement, and disrespect shown toward the staff were completely uncalled for. It came across as people abusing privilege and looking down on those who were simply doing their jobs. It was upsetting enough that my 10-year-old daughter noticed it immediately. She became emotional just watching how rudely the staff were treated, and on her own, she felt moved to write a note to the hostess afterward who was in tears. That alone speaks volumes. I hope others who read the original review can recognize the entitlement behind it and take it with a grain of salt. The staff here deserve far more respect than what they were given in that moment. The food was amazing - this is not our first time at this restaurant and we will absolutely be back.
