Love this location better than the Broad Street location. There was a very long line here when I went yesterday because it's still a brand new store, and lots of people wanted to visit this location. Even though there was a very long line, I was able to get my two dozen doughnuts and pay for them in a short amount of time! I remember going to the Broad Street location one day for a buy one, get one free promotion. It took me an hour and a half to get through the line, and that line was just as long as the line I was in at this location. This store was well organized, had workers greet us as soon as we walked in through the door, and was built at a great place on Midlothian Turnpike. The service here was good but that was it! I stopped in to get a dozen chocolate glazed cream filled and was greatly disappointed when I drove 2hrs to get home and ate one. It was no cream inside any of the doughnuts!! There were holes in the sides but no cream. So basically I paid almost $1 a doughnut for a dried out, chocolate, covered piece of bread? This Krispy Kreme is the closest donut shop to my house. It also has a drive thru, which I love because it means that I don't have to get fully dressed to get a treat :) Each visit has been pretty much the same. Donuts that aren't fresh. I'm not sure what the deal is, but that's a huge prerequisite in a donut for me! Hot and fresh. The last time I visited was around 8 a.m., so I'm not sure why I was served a cold, hard donut. This new location is awesome. I could eat a krispy kreme glazed donut everyday of the week. The employees are friendly here as well. The only thing about this location is the selection just like others have mentioned BUT, I always get the regular glazed donuts anyways and they are always good. Krispy Kreme has the drive thru, which is pretty sweet for a fast pickup on your way to work. Co-workers get a little friendlier early in the morning when they see/smell you walk through the door sporting the unmistakable aroma of coffee and fried doughy goodness. This one tends to be sooooooo sllooowwwww *imitates a slug moving on a cold day* at the drive-thru. I think I played some Hay Day and had several interesting in depth conversations with my 3 year old while waiting in the drive thru line. However, the line was super long because it was National Donut Day and folks wanted their free donuts, BUT, the line tends to be long usually. I know my bff who lives over here as well would rather drive to the one off of Broad St by Willow Lawn because their line doesn't tend to be as sluggish. I love stopping by here after visiting my grandparents. Mom and I usually get a dozen of originals and another of assorted. They're really delicious and the limited edition pumpkin cheesecake aren't so bad! I picked up two pirate donuts just to see if they're good, too. I brought them home and they were gone quick. My kids came in for report card reward donuts and there were 5 people working behind the counter. Workers came and went, restocking the display, but my kids stood there for 5 minutes without anyone asking if they needed help. Went to this location at 7:15pm today Drive thru had 10-15 cars waiting. I went inside to find there were 11 people that had already paid and were waiting for glazed. Looking at the case they only had 4 types of doughnuts (custard filled, Oreo topped, cake batter & strawberry w/ sprinkles). I asked if they had any other type in the back and was told "We ain't got no other doughnuts". Choosing to leave on the way out I asked one of the people how long they had been waiting. My son and I went to this Krispy Kreme a few weeks ago. We just moved to Virginia from NC and I was craving their delicious donuts even though this one is 30 minutes away. I waited in line at the drive through and finally got to the speaker. Nobody greeted me over the speaker or said anything. I told my son "I guess it's not working". We sat there for about 3-5 minutes before it was our turn to pull forward. I assumed everyone was ordering at the window. When I got to the window the girl said I had to pull back around and get back in line. I thought she was joking. She was so rude. I asked if she was joking and she said "no I'm serious. You have to order at the speaker". I told her I tired and nobody heard me. She said they heard me. But nobody responded. I was so mad. Unfortunately, this is the closest location to me so I rarely ever eat KK donuts. This place is the worst! Even when the lines aren't long they take forever. I've been in drive through line for 15 minutes and the cars haven't moved once!! They don't make the glazed cream filled, unlike every other KK in the state of VA. We went in today on the way home from grocery shopping. We got an assorted dozen. I finally got a lemon filled donut. Lemon filled is one of my favorite donuts and its been years since I've had a lemon filled donut. It was yum! But Krispy Kreme sure skimp on the chocolate icing. I mean seriously, you should not see bare donut when a donut is iced. A good 1/2" parameter or more was not iced with chocolate. Was assured by the man who answered the phone that they would definitely have them, no problem, just come in and they would box them up. When I got there, an employee said she had set aside my donuts but another employee sold them. With Krispy Kreme you assume you know what you're going to get. However, this particular location exceeded my expectations. Not only do they have a sugar donut, which is a delicious option not available on the other side of town the staff was more welcoming. The doughnuts honestly tasted a slight bit different. I eat at both locations frequently, but I prefer this one. I was not expecting to like this location better. I was one of those crazy people camped out waiting for their grand opening. However, I assumed I would still go to the other location more since it is more convenient for me. For a chain this place has well exceeded my expectations. read more

What can I say? The best donuts around, however.... The drive-thru line is usually long in the mornings so I usually go inside. They always seem to be understaffed at the front of the store. The cash register employee now has to take an inventory of every donut you are buying and if you got a dozen assorted donuts, this can take a while and the line moves painfully slow since they implemented this process. One must think why doesn't management do their inventory based on what was made and what was left over at the end of the day instead of punishing their loyal customers at the check-out line. read more
