Blueberry cake donut and cinnamon roll
    Lindsey B.

Old reliable! I was disappointed to see that the hot and ready sign was off on this particular visit. I ordered the blueberry cake (personal favorite) and cinnamon roll donuts. The blueberry cake was dry but still delicious. The cinnamon roll donut was pretty basic, but I really enjoyed the texture of the donut itself once I warmed it up at home. Had I come at a better time, I'm sure the donuts would've been 10/10. The workers at this location are always friendly and helpful, and the inside is very clean and well kept! Definitely going to return next time I'm in the mood for something sweet!

First trip to this Krispy Kreme location. Their selection of filled donuts was limited in the display case, but of course I was still found one that I liked. The service was quick and courteous. The interior is clean and wonderfully decorated for fall. They have a mix of chair and lounge type seating. Great place to pop by on a Saturday morning!

Besides the cost of a dozen donuts being nearly $20 and poorly made, prior to COVID, I found these donuts somewhat edible. Customer service was meh.. Inside was somewhat packed so I decided to go through drive-thru. The parking lot was dirty and needed attending. I am highly disappointed and do not plan to return.

Pumpkin Spice donut cake...okay, not the prettiest thing ever but it was the thought:)

I'm always very happy with the donuts here and coffee. Now the place isn't the best looking, it can definitely go for a little money put into it to spruce it up, but the staff are nice a d the treats are good. Definitely try the pumpkin spice donuts. I can't wait for the holiday donuts:)

Mini donuts, y'all. Precious. And tasty! They only come in the types seen here: original, choc, choc sprinkles, and strawberry sprinkles

I used to love Krispy Kreme, and still believe that their original glazed can't be beat when it's hot and fresh, however this location no longer makes their donuts in house. The quality just isn't the same. Not only that, but they never have all of their donuts stocked. I've gone at different times during the day and they're out of at least 3-4 different types, sometimes more. That wouldn't bother me if there was any kind of apology from the staff, but there never is. Virtually every time I go, the staff at the window seems annoyed that they have to tell you they're out of most of their donuts. In fact, the last time I went I asked for a mixed dozen and after asking and being told "we don't have that" over and over, she finally offered the types of donuts they did have in stock. It wasn't many. It all comes down to quality and customer service and they fall short most every time.

This is the doughnut, I got a raspberry filled not a original glazed

I'm not sure if they do consignment style shops within the gift shop, or if it's all under the same business, but it's arranged in a bunch of mini sections that all kind of have a different aesthetic. It was a bit maze-like, but I have no doubt they sell something in here for everyone. Like the gift shop, the bakery had huge variety. Who knew there were so many types of cake? I ended up getting a carrot cake latte and a heart shaped macaron. It was only after I had ordered my latte with oat milk, checked out (including paying the up-charge for oat milk), and waited several minutes that they told me they were out of oat milk. This was disappointing, as I paid my extra for the oat milk, yes, but also because I don't really want a latte in general without it. Regardless, it was too late, so I just told them to do it with 2%. The latte was okay but I didn't love it. It mostly tasted sweet and like cinnamon. Which I guess is more or less what carrot cake tastes like? The menu said it came with a cream cheese cold foam or whipped cream (I don't remember which) but it came out with plain whipped cream. The espresso was a little bitter - maybe burnt or shocked. The macaron was gorgeous, but didn't have a macaron taste or texture. It was hard like cookie. A macaron should be light and airy, and the shell should almost collapse under a bite. I had to chomp through this one. I am not sure if it was stale, a bad batch, or if their "macarons" are just "macaron shaped cookies" by design.

I've since moved to Greensboro, so it's been a while, but as soon as I walked through the door and caught a whiff of coffee and their delicious baked goods, I was reminded why this was my favorite coffee shop in HP. Debeen Espresso is a charming, female-owned local gem that combines the art of great coffee with delicious, in-house gluten free and vegan baked goods. From the moment you step inside, the inviting atmosphere and warm smiles from the baristas set the tone for a great experience. I had the pleasure of trying their banana walnut muffin, and let me just say--it was the moistest muffin I've ever tasted. The balance of banana, walnut, and spice was perfect, and it paired wonderfully with my almond milk latte. There's an array of gluten free and vegan muffin and cookie options as well as additional treats (overnight oats, carrots and hummus, etc) in the fridge. It's clear that Debeen Espresso takes pride in not just the quality of their coffee, but in everything they do. The service was fast and friendly and the shop itself is cozy, with plenty of comfortable seating both inside and out. We opted to sit on the outdoor patio, where additional seating provides a chance to enjoy the fresh air while sipping your favorite drink. Adjacent to Debeen is Pure Light Yoga, creating the perfect opportunity to sip, savor, and even savasana--all in one visit. Whether you're there for a quiet moment away or catching up with a friend, Debeen Espresso offers a unique and relaxing space where you can really enjoy your experience. If you're in the area, don't miss out on this cozy spot with its delicious drinks, healthy treats and welcoming vibe.

We were there doing some behind-the-scenes content, and the space was welcoming, calm, and perfect for both conversation and getting things done. Drink-wise, everything was on point. The Honey Ginger Chai was smooth and comforting, especially with almond milk and a nice froth. The blueberry muffin (warmed) was simple but really good--sometimes that's all you need. My cappuccino, the José Conseco, truly lived up to its name: bold, smooth, and flavorful without needing any added sugar. That alone says a lot about the quality of their coffee. What stood out most is that Chi Rho really proves you don't need a lot of sugar or extra additives to make a great cup of coffee. The flavors speak for themselves. Whether you're stopping in for a family coffee run, a casual meeting, or just want a quality cup in a relaxed environment, this is definitely a spot worth visiting. We'll absolutely be back.

I cannot stand when a cheesecake has a crust thin as paper -- give me a thick graham cracker crust with texture and balance. The dynamics of each bite when it's made that way are unmatched. Ironically, I didn't even order cheesecake this visit, but after seeing theirs, I already know I'll be back for it. I started with cookies because I couldn't decide what I wanted, and every single one was delicious. The oatmeal cream pie cookie was amazing, the ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie lived up to its name, and the walnut chocolate chip cookie was perfection. I was pretty taken aback by how many dessert options they had. Not only did they have a plethora of types of desserts, but they had sooo many flavors/varieties of each one. A dozen different variations of cheesecakes, several cupcake varieties, a dozen different kinds of macarons, several different cakes, tiramisu, tres leches, banana pudding, edible cookie dough, more cookies than I could name, brownies, eclairs, and more that I'm sure I have forgotten. If you can name it, I'm sure they have it. I've been looking for somewhere nearby to get a proper macaron (as opposed to a hard, macaron shaped cookie without the traditional texture) at a reasonable price point. This definitely met those criteria, so of course we tried a flower shaped macaron. It had the perfect, delicate cookie and that classic, light almondy flavor. We also had a brownie batter cookie, which was delicious and reminds me of something I would have saved on Pinterest a decade ago but never gotten around to making, much less as well as they do. Though there was a line inside, we were served super quickly by friendly staff, and found a nice seat outside in the sun. They also had abundant indoor seating. Maybe I'm the last one to hear about Sweet Dough and everyone else has been a fan, or maybe it's a true hidden gem. Either way, I will 100% be back.
