I purchased four dozen glazed donuts from this Roswell location and left feeling as though my business was an inconvenience. The lobby was closed because the store was short-staffed, so I had no choice but to place and receive this large order through the drive-thru. The employee at the window, who identified himself as Sheik, offered no greeting and was unfriendly throughout the interaction. After receiving the donuts, I pulled forward and stepped out of my car so I could rearrange things and safely store all four boxes. He responded with an irritated look. When I explained why I had stopped, he began telling me that he was working alone and describing other problems inside the store, seemingly to justify his attitude. I understand that employees have difficult days and that short staffing creates stress. I was not upset about waiting or the lobby being closed. What bothered me was the dismissive way I was treated after making a fairly large purchase. Regardless of the challenges happening behind the counter, customers still deserve basic courtesy and respect. I have always loved Krispy Kreme and planned to purchase donuts regularly for clients in this area. Unfortunately, I will think twice before returning to this location. read more

We stopped by here and got a dozen donuts one night while visiting recently as a treat for the in-laws and the family. The employee got them ready quickly and I was out the door even quicker. We snacked on them for several days and they were always good - much better than cake donuts - just melts in your mouth. I have been to this location twice in the last three months. I did not want to rate based on the 1st visit because was certain I caught them on a bad day. Today was the same as before. The first time, I ordered some assorted donuts but received all original glazed. Not a big deal but the price is lower for all original glazed. There is lots of available free parking near the building. I took advantage of the free parking and parked near the door. However, when I walked up to the door, I noticed a note stating that they were open but the lobby was closed but the drive thru was open. Uh, ok. I got back into the car and drove to the speaker. Went in to get ten donut holes, but it wasn't until after I paid that the employee realized they only had pre-packaged boxes containing higher quantities of donut holes left. This prompted a second employee, who had been mopping / wiping the floor / touching common areas around the establishment without gloves or anything to come over and help straighten things out. I agreed that taking ten donut holes from one of the pre-packaged boxes would be good with me, but then the pair of employees couldn't find the standard cup container to package my donut holes in and went running around searching for it. I really had to get going by that point, as the events of this story were not progressing quickly, so I flagged them down as soon as I could to insist that any box or container they had would be just fine. So then the employee who had been mopping / wiping the floor / touching common areas around the establishment reached his bare dirty hands in the pre-packaged donut hole box and put my ten in another box and sent me on my way. Although staff had been moving around inside since we passed by at 4:30am and they turned on the inside lights at 6, the doors were locked even a few minutes after 6am. Who can say no to free doughnuts? Who can turn down HOT Krispy Kreme doughnuts? Not this one. It was National Talk Like a Pirate day, with the offer of either: 1. Dressing up like a pirate for a free dozen glazed doughnuts, or 2. Talking like a pirate for one free glazed doughnut. Our friend took it upon herself to make an impromptu pirate costume out of a button down shirt, a belt and a bandanna. It was probably the quickest and most inventive costume I've ever seen, if I do say so myself. We decided we did not need four dozen doughnuts, so only one of us dressed up. When we arrived at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night, the store was packed. A line wound around the drive thru, so we went inside, where people were waiting for their free dozens of doughnuts. How is this place still in business?? I've lived in Roswell for 5 years and I don't recall ever seeing the hot light on! Today, about 2:30, we go over there after lunch at a local restaurant. We all three get out of the car, we go to the door, it's locked, there's a sign on the door that says, of course, they're short-staffed and you have to go to the drive thru. We go to the drive-thru, we ordered $20 worth of cold donuts (because she says they will be hot at 5, you know, dinner time. That makes sense) and when we get them, they're stale.
