After I got to the window, the young lady told me the special was for the following week. I knew she was wrong, but I didn't feel like pulling up the email on my phone, so I just left. It was irritating. Anyway, I stopped this morning and went inside because I had my own coffee cup I wanted filled and I had a free donut valentine to redeem. When I lived in Australia, if you uttered the words Krispy Kreme people would flock to you as if you were a prophet about to deliver the secret to life. As there were only a handful of them throughout the country (and mostly in airports) it wasn't hard to find people arranging for special pickups of donuts at all hours straight from Sydney airport during the quick 5 minute layover they had in Brisbane.... The 'handover' was like a covert operation that eerily appeared to resemble that of a successful drug deal taking place- until the green and white polka dot boxes were revealed...then there was the dash and run. Again, like a drug deal (I would imagine). Fast forward to present day... Now, back in Columbus, the closest I have gotten to KK since I arrived back in the States has been the stretch of highway on 670 where you can smell the wonderful smell of fresh-baked donuts oozing into your car as you drive. Why is that when I myself bought into the feverish obsession with KK while in Australia? .....and now- nothing. I love them but in Australia they seemed so special and rare. I don't know where I'm going with this really. I love Krispy Kreme and everything about it. I have never had a bad donut from there. I wish they would come back and be the 'it' thing again- like Pinkberry in L.A. The donut industry has a hole and is rapidly leaking deflating (hilariously bad analogy I know) BUT I say we all ban together and breathe some life back into what was once the King of all Donuts. RUDE service, oh my gosh absolutely horrible. Come in on a Saturday morning and the donuts are cold and stale, if you know it's going to be busy since it's a weekend then please PREPARE for that. They were also out of the new pumpkin spice donuts, which wouldn't be a big deal except they just came out recently so how could you possibly already be completely out of them? I came in for today's promotion "Lose an hour, Gain a doughnut." I love my doughnut as always but the atmosphere and cleanliness ruined the experience. Service was alright. The drive thru had no cars so that cashier came over to help serve. The center aisle of condiments was a bit obtrusive given that they don't encourage a 1-way line around the ordering stand to cashier to exiting the line. Restroom: I almost expelled my doughnut in here. It was gross. Just merely looking at the toilet - you could tell it had not been cleaned for days and there is no care in maintaining it. The paper towel roll was just sitting on top the dispenser so hopefully no child below 4'6" goes by himself because he won't reach it. read more

I was craving the old school warm Kristy Keene donuts, and while I know they won't always be warm...one would think they would still be quality?! I haven't stopped by this donut shop in a while, as not convenient location for me personally, but today I went out of my way for the craving. Wow...what a disappointment!! The original glazed were "greasy" tasting and cold, and the Creme filled appeared to have never risen, as it was flat...yet they attempted to add a small amount of Creme to it anyway. Awful tasting, as it was also stale and again, greasy tasting. Now let's add on the coffee. Burnt tasting, and so bad that I poured it out when I got home and made my own. How sad is that?! Cost was fine, and affordable..but next time I will go elsewhere and pay more. read more

Warm, light, moist, melt in your mouth, and fluffy. I can't believe I have never visited before. I am not a fan of Krispy Kreme donuts as I usually buy them at the gas station and have stopped buying them the last few years. I walked in here around 8 pm at night as was treated to this warm, scrumptious goodness. They hand one to you free of charge, right off the conveyor belt. I will think of stopping in here for an evening dessert the next time I am in the area. I also had a good cup of iced coffee here. I really enjoyed my 15 minutes inside this bastion of fried goodness. I bought a Mocha donut for the next morning. This morning I remember why I don't like Krispy Kreme, the donut was a little dry and the cream was not evenly distributed throughout the whole donut. *WARNING* This store is not open for walk-in and does not keep track of call ahead orders. Two days ago I tried to place an order online for donuts. I kept getting a screen prompt that said this location does not accept online orders. So I called yesterday. I asked for 3 dozen donuts to be ready for pickup at 8 am this morning. The man I talked to who took my order asked for my name and did not warn me that the store was not open for walk-in. When I arrived this morning at 8:02 am I quickly found all the doors locked and realized I had to wait in the drive through line. 20 minutes later I was at the speaker and able to mention that I had an order that I called in yesterday. The lady asked for my name and told me to pull ahead to the window. When I got there, they did not have my order ready. She had to ask what I ordered and they had to prepare it as I waited at the window. Needless to say, I would not recommend this store anymore. My school used to order between 30-40 dozen donuts twice a year. Oh well. Time to find a new donut place! read more

What a awesome store! I wish I could give ten stars. We visit this location every year when we are in Ohio for Thanksgiving. We are always sad to leave our family, so we stop for doughnuts to ease the pain of the long sad road trip back to New Jersey. This time, the staff remembered us! I just got back I wanted the key lime donuts. I got 6 and they charged me twice. The first time $7.17 then $7.89. They put the $7.17 back on my card. Out of apple fritters. They do not make their glazed donuts in the morning when they open(6:00am), and make customers pay more for assorted donuts. I just paid $38 for 2.5 dozen of their closest option to regular glazed. They do this on purpose to boost their revenue. If you want regular glazed donuts in the morning, DO NOT go here. They will not have any ready and tell you it's your fault for coming when they open. It's unethical and a horrible business model to make customers pay more because you are behind. They literally make everything more expensive first to make more money. I have never been to a donut place that does not have all items ready when they open. I worked at Resch's bakery for years and know from experience that this is not how any reputable business works. You are supposed to bake fresh daily before opening time and have stock of everything when you open. I will absolutely be taking my business elsewhere from now on and you should too. Also, calling in advance the night before and placing an order for pickup also does no good. Tried that three times and they did not have my order ready at 6:30 for pickup. Love their donuts, however management and employees could use a little more work in the customer service area. Went thru the drive thru to get Mother's Day donuts as a surprise. The kids in the windows wouldn't stop talking to each other and did not give me back my credit card after paying, which knowingly is my fault bc I should have double checked. I called the following day after realizing that my credit card was missing and that was my last transaction. After calling over 5 times and and being hung up because no one would answer the phone, I was finally able to get thru to someone who answered the phone and said "hello", and I said hi, to be followed up by a proper greeting. That isn't my issue. My issue is that after requesting to talk to a manager he was able to confirm that the credit card was indeed still there. I drove 40 minutes (closest location to my house) to retrieve my credit card. I asked to speak to the manager Josh, who walked out talking on his cell phone to hand me the credit card, without first checking my ID. Obviously most people probably are given their credit cards back and not many are left behind, but the security of knowing that my identity would have been checked before hand would have been nice. I told him I would like to place an order since I drove out of my way back there, to which while still on the phone he said well he'll take care of you and went back to his conversation on his cell phone. Not looking for free things, however working in customer service I felt as tho the entire situation was handled immaturely and without care.. will definitely find another location to drive to next time. read more

Went with another couple at about 930 pm. We went inside and there were several people getting to-go orders. Many kids running around with their parents not paying attention to them and they were making messes with the coffee samples set up. The lady that boxed up our donuts would look at us like she was paying attention but wasn't listening to a word we said. We had to repeat several times to make sure she put the right ones in the box because she would not put all of them in the box. She was the same way with the other couple we were there with. They did have fresh donuts being made while we were there however the manager was only offering a free donut to certain people.....not to everyone in there. There were too many employees and one manager who would not paying any attention to his surroundings. Some employees just wandering around aimlessly wondering what they should do. So, after dodging the kids running loose in there, we sat down to eat a donut before we hit the road. We witnessed an employee on the belts who had gloved hands picking up the donuts and boxing them. He then gets a call on his cell phone and using his gloved hands answers it while continuing to use the same gloves on his hands to box donuts. When the manager walked around the corner, he hurried and put his phone in his pocket and continued with same gloves. I went up to the manager and told him how gross this was to see he did this without changing gloves. He takes him aside, makes him change his gloves and he gets back on the line. The manager is clueless and the employees are not all that with it. Guess I should quickly mention the donuts. The pumpkin spice donut was very good. The custard filled chocolate covered....the custard tasted sour. I have no desire to return. Very disappointing experience. read more

Just left Polaris location. Two were wiping their noses with their hands over and over and one then put his finger in his ear and then cleaned it with his pinky. As he filled out doughnut box he was laughing and chatting with his buddy so much he didn't notice the tissue that should have protected our doughnuts from his nose and ear cooties didn't cover his fingers. He also had to keep pulling up his pants. While 3 just stood chatting we had to stand in line 10 minutes just to pay for a dozen germy doughnuts while the only one working was making drinks for the folks in front of us.
