Always wanted to try a donut from this place. Everyone says is great and they love it so hey why not. The inside of the store is super cute, I love it. When I went the donuts were not being freshly made so I guess I missed that excitement but the pre-made ones looked awesome. Ended up getting half a dozen, got the regular glazed, custard filled and cinnamon roll, I must say I was a little disappointed, the glazed and cinnamon donut is VERY GLAZED alot of sugar which I usually don't like so much on a donut. I ordered a dozen assorted donuts. Seven of them were cinnamon sugar. They gave me cinnamon sugar cake. It may not seem like a big deal but they are completely different donuts and I hate the cinnamon sugar cake. I went in and asked for the right ones. They said they didn't have the ones I wanted and couldn't replace or refund the ones they gave me even though they were the wrong donuts. There is not one bad thing anyone can say about a fresh, hot, soft, melt in your mouth glazed doughnuts except that they ate a whole dozen in one sitting. Every time when I happen to find a "Krispy Kreme" the red light has been on I get so excited. I love watching the doughnuts being made. This location gave me an up and close view of the doughnuts being made. Standing behind a glass window watching these yummy treats transform is really the fun part. Starting from round shaped dough slowly riding in the oil cooking ever so gently then it goes through a small under pass where it gets flipped, and other side gets slowly cooked. Then these yummy fresh cooked doughnuts ride down a small conveyer belt allowing excess oil to drain to slowly enter the glaze shower. All deformed doughnuts get chucked so Krispy Kreme doughnuts are always perfectly round. They have a large selection of specialty doughnuts. Since I normally only see the glazed doughnuts being made those are the only ones I want. We did end up get a one and 1/2 dozen of the hot glazed and 1/2 dozen specialty ones. Most of the glazed doughnuts barely made it into the car but it was worth the trip. read more

Where I come from, Krispy Kreme Donuts went out of business long ago. Seeing a location at the same exit of the always necessary gas station, Sheetz, we decided to stop in. To our dismay the front doors were locked. Having already hatched one of our many harebrained schemes (this one to make an 8am delivery of KK donuts to our buddy Teen Set in Rochester, NY on our way home) we began frantically digging trough the dumpster out back for some scraps. When that yielded nothing we prepared to head home with our "Cool Fox" tails between our legs when we realized that the drive thru was in fact still operational! The light, the donuts that have escaped me since their rapid expansion caused massive store closings...this was mecca. I go get a few donuts with some friends...and they weren't good. Certainly not what I remember, and the service was rude to boot. Do I literally have to ask for a free donut? My coffee was not prepared correctly and the donuts did not taste fresh at all. Make sure you eat the donuts while they are still warm and they will melt in your mouth. There's truly nothing more delightful. I recommend the original glazed donuts. This location is never busy unlike Krispy Kremes in Virginia. You're in and out fast. I haven't tried any assorted doughnuts at this location. The inside is well maintained. My wife is a KK freak. She just LOVES their creme filled donuts. However, other than one in Manhattan, there aren't any within about 90 minutes of our home in NE NJ. So, she was quite pleased to see the KK sign on I-81 last week while heading to upstate NY. We stopped there Saturday and picked up a dozen for the trip. We went here a couple of times (once on our trip to Canada and once on our trip back home). Each time, we were impressed with them. The light for the hot donuts were on the first time but it wasn't the 2nd time. I've tried the Easter Chick with Cream and loved it. It had lots of candy as decoration for the chick. Hubs had the bold coffee and thought it could be "bolder". We also bought a cup of original glazed doughnut holes. It was pretty good and thought it was a real good idea for a long drive. Your doughnuts are always delicious but your staff leaves a lot to be desired. I visited with my family the Clark Summit location 2 times recently. The first time we made a large purchase for extended family and were helped by a very unfriendly staff member. We were not happy but it wasn't bad enough to actually submit a complaint. However, the second time we came back and had one of the worst experiences we've ever had. The cashier was unbelievably rude. She was extremely impatient and condescending. Every question we asked her was met with her rolling of the eyes, or her speaking extremely slowly to us as though we couldn't understand her. She repeatedly told us she couldn't hear what we were saying and made us repeat ourselves several times. While I understand that communication is difficult with us all wearing masks, others nearby were able to hear us speaking just fine. We gave her our rewards account associated phone number several times and she kept claiming that it didn't work when it has always worked in the past. And to top it all off, after we paid and moved on, she was much nicer to the party on line behind us. I don't know what her problem was, but I can't help but think that it could be related to my husband wearing an easily identifiable religious article on his head, a skullcap, marking him as a Jew. When there are several other people in the store and we are the only ones to receive such bad treatment, it's not hard to come to the conclusion that it might have had something to with the attitudes we received. And if that wasn't the reason behind the cashier's behavior, having a bad day is certainly not an excuse. You need to seriously educate your staff to be friendly to all customers, not just the ones who look or sound or talk like them, or whomever they decide to be nice to on that day. We will be sure to share our experience with our family and friends and make sure they are aware of your customer service standards and practices before frequenting your stores in the future. read more

THEY DONT PARTICIPATE IN THE REWARDS PROGRAM! This is the closest Krispy kreme to me. I drove over two and a half hours to go here. I get to the counter and tell the girl I had a coupon for buy one get one. She says we dont take coupons from the app. I told her it was emailed to me which is true. She says let me check. I go to the car and get my phone . I am gone maybe 30 seconds . I come back she doesnt acknowledge me. I wait and surprise I am her next customer. Not a word about the coupon... did she forget that fast? I asked again she said oh we dont take those. I told her I wanted 3 dozen 12 glazed 12 raspberry and 12 assorted. 1st two simple , 3rd dozen presented a challenge. I know I didnt miscount 3 times. The only sign I saw and I used both entrances that they don't participate in the rewards program was a small sign taped to the counter by the register. Unless you were paying you would never see it.
