It was really relaxed low pressure tasting while seated in air con. We really liked all the semillon and chardonnay, the cheese plate was basic but tasty. A cute thing is that they have postcard size cards with a recipe pairing for each of their wines, make sure to grab one if you buy a bottle. Also, the bathrooms were immaculate.

Well, I thought I was going to have a glass but I ended up getting a tasting flight because it was so tempting. They offer wine by the glass, bottle, flight or you can do a tasting at the bar. It was a brilliant experience. The staff were really nice - pleasant, knowledgeable on product offerings and really relaxed. I got the 'come to the dark side' flight, which was all reds. I asked her to pour me a little less because I was driving and it comes out around 2 glasses in total. I asked her to pour me half of each and pour a full one of 'the best one.' After a long deliberation (she told me) she poured the shiraz as the full glass. I had always thought I didn't like shiraz. Well I was wrong - now I do! I will always remember that this was the place that taught me. My friend ordered a different flight that had whites and reds, and also a cheese pairing for the flight - they match each cheese to a wine. I tried all of hers and all her cheeses. Really liked the majority even though bubbles and certain types of white aren't as much my jam. Really great place and good value for money. A nice, classy experience without being intimidating or pretentious. I'd love to come back here again - and next time I'd make sure I wasn't driving. IT'S ON!!

Located just off 75 Mary Street, this place is a little hard to find and you probably won't stumble across it by chance as it's located a little back from the main road. Went there for a birthday party and the winery has a great setup, especially for a private party. This is a working winery where the grapes are brought into and you can see all the machinery that is used to make the wines. There are barrels in neat rows stacked 3 high and rows and rows of wine bottles along one side of the wall. Below are some detailed instructions on how to find the place. Entry via 70 Edith St: Enter the gates at 70 Edith St, in 20 metres turn right at the T intersection. The winery is 20m ahead on the left. If the restaurant isn't open, which it isn't a few days a week, they still do cheese platters, where you select two cheeses from a pretty good range, and you get a condiment and crackers and olives, gluten free if necessary. They have a variety of local food products for sale in the tasting room. Friendly staff and owner. The wines seemed to be white-heavy, as I've noticed other wineries along the coast are, too. There's plenty of parking. The turnoff from the highway is a bit harrowing, as cars don't seem to care that your turn signal is on. The bathrooms are outside the restaurant, on the far side from the tasting room.

The space is beautiful, with an open and airy tasting room overlooking the vast vineyard (one of the few wineries in the area that grows its own grapes). There's a little something different about the wines here--the flavors are something of their own. I brought back a bottle of their oaked semillon, which was light and refreshing and stored in California Oak barrels (I'd get the same thing back here in CA if I could, but you certainly don't see a lot of semillon around here), as well as a bottle of their shiraz, which had a peppery kick to it. The lady who led us through the tastings (we had come with a tour group) was very sweet and seemed to love her job. We ended our visit with a tour of the wine cellar and the lovely outdoor area of the building, which reminded me of being in Tuscany but is apparently modeled after Southern Spain. I loved all the little details of the decor. Definitely worth stopping at!
