Out of all the wineries we visited in the Hunter Valley, Scarborough is one that made a lasting impression, so much so I have to write about my experience.
All customers were treated with a personalised approach to wine tasting. My family and I were seated to our table and our own wine attendant greeted us with kids pack to keep the kids occupied while the adults can focus on tasting wines. Very smart initiative, I was already impressed with the attention to detail making sure every customers enjoy their experience. Our wine attendant then came out again, but this time she brought to our table Chèvre (Goat's Cheese) and Cracker Sticks which was initially for our palate but my kids embarrassingly devoured them instead.
She then proceed to ask us whether we want to try any particular wines or happy to try all their range and hand us the mini brochures with their range list and details about each of them. I was happy to try everything.
Our wine attendant was knowledgeable about the product and was very attentive. She took the time to allow tasting without rushing to get to the next one and close the sales, which I really appreciate.
Their white wines are amazing, including Vermentino and their infamous Yellow label Chardonnay. But the stand out for me was 'The Obsessive' Chardonnay, which replaced their White Label Chardonnay. It's creamy and full of flavour. The prices are very reasonable. With a great tasting experience and amazing wines they left me with, I will definitely come back. read more
