All seemed well with Kreiser's, I have been taking multiple vehicles to them for inspection for a few years now. This time, I took my 2007 Honda oddysey in. inspection went out in April and due to issues with parts, I didn't get done with repairs til June. June 19th it goes in for inspection And i find Out they put an April sticker on for an inspection done in June. That shorts 2 months on the inspection. I brought it up and he said that is how they do it there. I want to warn others because while that may be legal, but it is not required. There is no reason to backdate an inspection. it is wrong and does nothing more than make you pay for inspection/emissions again sooner than needed. He refused to change it and was not friendly. I will never go back there and I recommend others stay away. my dealings were positive previously but that action screams dishonesty to me. truly a shame. read more

The quality of service here is above any garage I've been to. Just replaced all 4 tires on my car at a very very reasonable price and I also get 50 for a rebate offered on the purchase of the tires. I also have to mention that I had a small leak I couldn't find myself and it was found, checked, and corrected at no charge. My daughter's car was towed to Kreiser's after an accident. We were unable to eject the CDs from her player and that was just one more thing she would have lost due to a negligent driver running a stop sign. Kreiser's was very helpful and was able to recover the CDs for her. It was an extra effort for them and much appreciated. P.S. Totally amazing shop. I had my car towed there due to a accident. They offered me a free gator aid since it was hot outside. Everyone there was respectful and very helpful. If I lived in the area I'd have them service my car all the time. read more

The vendor was responsive and it took a few days to get the appointment. I dropped the car off the night before. I received a phone call around 230 or 3:00 clock saying my car was done. I had asked for an annual Pennsylvania inspection as well as an oil change/lube. The oil change was $40 and it was another $40 to replace wiper blades, of which I never received a phone call asking permission to replace the blades. The cost of the Pennsylvania - required inspection and emissions was less than $50. The entire bill was $157. The costs were not posted in advance, but I did not pay attention because who would've thought that a simple inspection and oil change/lube would end up costing me $154 without even as much as a phone call asking if it was okay to replace the wiper blades with wiper blades cost $20 a piece. The service appeared to be done correctly, although I'm not commenting on quality because this is a simple oil change, wiper blade change, and inspection, and it is difficult not to do an adequate job. Another small, but poignant factor, is that when I went into the shop the two gentleman (turned out one was the owner of the business ) did not greet me or ask "may I help you?" I had to walk through the garage to the small back office and ask if I could pick up my car/ pay for my car. It was rather weird, as I felt like I was interrupting these gentlemen. In summary, I felt ripped off and did not feel like a valued customer! PS- this guy could be the best mechanic around (an oil change & inspection is not enough to judge), however, the labor and parts are extremely expensive and he does not know how to communicate/ treat customers! read more

Had an issue while traveling on the PA Turnpike. We limped in to Kreiser's Garage. They could not be more helpful. The issue was diagnosed and within minutes the parts were ordered. I have been going to Kreiser's garage for ten years now (since around 2005). It is hard to find a mechanic like this guy. He is honest, will not overcharge you, and does not try to do service that your vehicle does not need. (Most recently, some mechanic in the city told me my truck transmission needed to be replaced. Kreiser's took the tranny apart and replaced a five dollar pin. Truck now works great.) As other reviewers have noted, if you want a waiting room, coffee and crumpets, or even basic communication beyond "Hello" and "Your car's fixed", go somewhere else. This guy will fix your car. This is the best garage for service in the area. You will get good service with fair prices. They are a very busy little garage so don't expect to just stop in for service, but a call ahead for an appointment is all it takes. It is hard to find a garage then you can say is fair and honest. This is the exception to the rule. No matter what the make or the model I highly recommend you give them a try. Local family owned gives them even more credibility. read more

My husband and I have both used this mechanic for years. I used them first before having met my husband and was just as pleased as sometimes mechanics can take advantage of women but not Kreisers. They have saved me a lot of money over the years by saying I could wait to get something done! They always call before making repairs and give me quotes upon request. We had been taking our car to another garage and increasingly felt we were being ripped off. Decided to drive a little farther to have Kreisers service our cars, since several of my family members take their cars there. Our cars are on the older side, and we love how Kreiser's does what is necessary to keep the cars running well. We can trust them not to tack on anything extra to make an extra buck.
