That is very respectful and if or had I needed an attorney in there field this is definitely an attorney's office I would highly recommend. The professionalism, the outstanding quick response, and just the fact that they cared enough to get back to me alone meant allot and that they care. They let me know that they wish me the very best but it is not in their area of law. Again I believe they do construction law. I would however have loved for them to have given me in their opinion and what type of attorney I would need, however that gets tricky since they don't know the case with the brief email I sent well enough to give me possibly that information. I have a very complicated case, however thank you for the outstanding service of just having respect to get back to me so quickly, especially when I have been going through more than anyone should. Thank you !!

TLDR: overly high hourly rate, did not get enough attention to our case to justify price…read more After we bought our house, we hired a foundation consultant to come evaluate a sunken corner of the dining room. He found evidence of rot and evidence of the previous owner covering it up with new wood. He recommended us to hire a real estate attorney and sue the seller since they should have disclosed the history of rot. We got a quote from a contractor for $50k for the repairs. Dave was very responsive by e-mail. He did not offer a free consultation and charges $575/h which is very high, but we thought the price might reflect the quality of work. However, his counsel was subpar. He reviewed our documents and pointed items noted by the inspector that were found in other areas of the house, unrelated to the area in question. When we were evidently very confused, he never offered a call to discuss the details. He kept insisting that we didn't really have a case, so we also didn't want to consume more of his time and burn our money. The demand letter that was drafted was not convincing at all, since Dave never took the time to understand the details. The seller was not convinced and hired their own attorney, at which point Dave advised us not to pursue them in court. That was the only time we talked on the phone. The subpar letter costed us $1,970. I feel like any attorney could have drafted a letter of this quality, even those who charge $300/h. Do not make the same mistake as me in assuming that higher rates equal higher quality of work.

Highly Recommend! Responsive, Respected and Relentless sums it up!…read more During a kitchen remodel, we found major water intrusion damage to one of the units of our small, four-unit condominium. When our insurance company denied our claim we hired Levy, von Beck and Comstock to go to battle for us. We worked directly with Dave von Beck. Dave and his firm have years of working with denied insurance claims, real estate, construction defects, and condo law. He's the ultimate expert and he's probably the most responsive and detailed professional I've ever dealt with. If I called, he'd take my call in the middle of a meeting. He answered my emails over the weekend. Everything he said was clear and made sense. He could cite and interpret crucial pieces of information in copious pages of technical engineering reports. He really shepherded us through a process that was far more complicated than we imagined. We were a small informal HOA, with no experience in dealing with anything this serious. His attention never wavered from this project, he was clearly "all in" with us. Additionally, Dave has built close relationships with all the key players: He knew our insurance companies lawyer, he already knew and worked with the construction company that we chose to do the repairs to the building. He knew when to call in an engineer and he knew and educated us on condo laws that we were unaware of. He understands and speaks construction at all aspects, practical and legal. He became the hub of information, pulled everything together and kept everything moving forward. Dave is a straight-shooter, ethical and trustworthy while also being persuasive and a real bulldog. And the bottom line: he got our insurance company to pay for both the investigative work and all of the repair! I can't recommend him enough. A life saver!

He worked diligently to protect my buyer's rights from a combative and un-ethical realtor company. As a result, he not only restored my faith as a first time home buyer, but also obtained the best settlement for me in less than 10 days! I feel so lucky to find Seth and his team at Levy-Law. He set an example of what a great lawyer should be. Also Thank You Katie for the initial help! Very happy about the results. I'll refer Seth and Levy-Law to all my friends and co-workers!
