Just a head up people if your thinking about buying something from them save your money and time they will give you the run around like crazy it's been 2 month since I purchased a items from them at a car show and payed up in full in advance they told me they will ship the items to me in a week and no longer then 2 weeks well I'm 1 day away from 2 months and every time I call nobody knows anything the last time I spoke with " LiZ " she said she'll take care of it and call me back and that if I don't here from her in a day or two then to call back so she never called me back so I called back again and spoke with some other lady and she told me she found my item and that she just shipped them to me that I should get them in 2-3 business days well 2 weeks later and still haven't got any thing so with that being said save your money and look somewhere else I will be notifying the better business bureau about them about the bad business and false advertising about there company I wish I could give them no stars there terrible business owners

Quite simply put, DO NOT BUY FROM BAJA VOODOO. These racks are made extremely poorly, rust quickly…read moreand often do not install the way they are supposed to. On top of that the customer service is terrible. See my story below. I ordered a rack for my 2017 Ford Transit conversion. I ordered it for all the same reasons that everyone else did - it was cheap, looked nice, was local to SoCal. First and foremost the delivery was an issue - they cancelled on me multiple times, showed up hours late when they did eventually dope it off. I was happy to let all this slide though, just excited to be a getting a good rack for my rig. They also asked me for gas money upon arriving with my rack, which I felt was rather odd. The second set of problems that I encountered with the rack was when I was installing it. I was told when I ordered the rack that it was made for my make/model but when I installed it the way they instructed me to the rack did not perfectly line up with where the mounting brackets were so I was unable to used one set of the mounting brackets and full lock them in. The other issue I encountered while installing it was that the hardware they had given me was mismatched and incomplete. Some bolts meant to do the same thing were different lengths, some were the wrong threading etc. I ended up having to go to the hardware store to replace some parts. All that being said, I got the rack installed relatively satisfactorily, it was a little smaller than I wanted but it worked. Fast forward a couple months of having it on the van and I start to encounter real problems. The workmanship on the rack was terrible. Every single weld on the rack had started to rust out within a couple months. They were rusting out so much that they were actually making rust stains on the top of the van. The "powder coating" was a joke. It was spray can bed liner at best. See all the pictures. Unfortunately my knowledge of racks, welds and craftsmanship were relatively limited at the time, otherwise I may have been able to spot these issues sooner. Anyhow, I started calling Baja Voodoo and complaining about the issues with my rack. I could never get through to them on the phone so I started texting. They would rarely respond. I had to be follow up over and over again before I would get a response. Eventually they agreed to take the rack back but I would have to drive it from Los Angeles to Calexico, CA. Almost a 5 hour drive. On the day I drove it to Calexico, I met the owner of Baja Voodoo at his house and he helped me unload the rack into his garage. When it came time for him to give me the money back he said that he didn't have it and that he would write a check. Having read what others had written online about trying to get their money back by this time I refused and said we needed to figure out how to make the money transfer happen then and there. We drove to two different banks so he could withdraw money. He kept saying that the withdrawal limit for the day had been reached. We tried every option possible. Eventually I got him to give me half the money back in cash and he promised to send the rest the next day when the bank was open. Thank my lucky stars the money did come through the next day and I was able to walkaway without taking too heavy of a loss, aside for my time and gas money. To anyone considering buying from Baja Voodoo for any kind of rack for your van or other OFV, I highly recommend that you DO NOT BUY from them. I went ahead and ordered an AluRack a month or two later and have been absolutely thrilled with the results I have gotten from it. They also have great customer service!!

***Fraudulent unsafe work that resulted in my car getting totaled a year later***…read more February 24, 2025 I got rear ended at a red light on my way to work. The other driver was uninsured. I took my car to a Geico partnered body shop, Grigg's Auto Body, because Geico offers a lifetime warranty if the repairs are not satisfactory. The original estimate was 1-month of work and $6k of damage. I argued with the Geico Adjuster, Rudy, that my car should be totaled because my c-pillar was buckled--indicating extensive damage. I was surprised Geico didn't want to total my car at that time. Once my car was at Grigg's, it went from 1-month repairs to two months and my car still wasn't finished being worked on by Grigg's. I reached the maximum amount that Geico would pay for my rental car so I paid a month out of pocket for my rental car that totaled to $1,300. On April 24, 2025 I told Grigg's and Rudy the adjuster I can't keep paying for the rental car and asked what else needed to be done to my car. Grigg's then said, "oh well it's drivable, we are just missing the Subaru and STI badges on the back." They also installed a not working back up light (some of the LEDs weren't working) and they misplaced a floor mat of mine. So I took pictures of everything reported that to them and Grigg's promised to order those items. However, David at Grigg's tried to argue they don't need to give me a working 4th brake light/reverse light because it was aftermarket and tried to claim that insurance wouldn't cover that when they already installed an aftermarket exhaust that was previously on there. I asked if my car had an alignment done yet and they said no, and stated they would meet me at an alignment shop (Ed Whitehead's was what was suggested by Grigg's) and they would bring a check and pay for it. That never happened. Two more months go by, June 2025, and I reach out asking for those missing items. Grigg's scheduled an appointment with me on June 19th at 9am. I dropped off my car then and six hours later I call back about an update. "Oh I've been trying to call you, my dad ordered the wrong light and we don't have the floor mats yet." Four months of trying to get my car fixed and finished. I called Geico and expressed how upset I was. I threatened a lawyer then and suddenly things were expedited shipping and I asked for photo proof before dropping my car off again. The following week my car mysteriously had zero oil in it which triggered the check engine light and several codes. I got an oil change prior to the accident and regularly check it. It had oil before the accident occurred and my car was only in the hands of Grigg's body shop. I had not taken it to any other shop afterwards at this point. When I brought this to Grigg's attention they only said, "Omgg okay Don't worry good thing you caught it haha." After I put oil in my car it never had another issue since. I do not trust Grigg's Auto Body. On July 1, 2025 Grigg's completed the final missing/broken items, but I refused to let them drive my car to an alignment shop at this point. Fast forward: On November 11, I was driving at night and was passing a tracker trailer when I came upon a huge blown out tire crossing the left lane into the right lane. I swerved left as much as I could without going off the road and it hit my front end cracking the front right bumper. I submitted the claim online and noticed Grigg's was still on Geico's site, but went to with their other partnered body shop called Gerber Collision. Gerber offered to check the work of the old body shop and I agreed because I was unhappy with the trunk bouncing back up when I attempted to close it indicating it wasn't aligned properly and the noise level from the exhaust and rain noise was much louder; almost like there was a hole or something wasn't patched properly. Gerber Collision found fraudulent work done by Grigg's. Grigg's stated in the invoice that they ordered a new metal trunk bed and welded that on. It was still the original damaged one they smoothed out and put bondo over it. Several spots of rusting already occurred and water was standing in the base of my trunk. Gerber Collision also found that Grigg's left a hammer wedged in between metal work under my car. Grigg's only paid for my rental car from April 2025. I still haven't received payment for the newest rental car that I had when Gerber discovered fraudulent and unsafe work done by Grigg's. My car was deemed a total loss by Geico on January 25, 2026 after driving with unsafe work for 10 months. Geico stated Grigg's will be paying them back for the fraudulent work. However, I'm the one who lost my dream car that Subaru does not produce anymore (2020 STI). I was promised a lifetime warranty for the repairs and if the repairs would've been done correctly the first time I would still have my car and not waste money on rental and buying another car.
