Reported that mechanic ( local Yuma import "specialist ") was likely wrong and pointed me to a scm relay that was probably the problem Turns out they were right, the import "specialist " wrong ( ok, it is a high end sports car unseen in Yuma). Still, they gave a good guess, charged me nothing and I changed the relay myself for 20 bucks. These guys are terrific. I have purchased three car stereos from them. My Lexus was a problem install, but they diagnosed the problem and delivered a stellar product. The last stereo I bought for my BMW was almost a year old when I took it back for a loose bezel, probably not their problem but I didn't want to drive to the El Cajon dealership. I recently took over an older SUV that needed some much needed TLC. Here in Yuma there isn't really a lot of places that do automotive audio services, so I looked around Yelp! and a few other places, before deciding to go for Charo's Audio Plus for the work that I wanted to get. Let me tell you right away, THIS PLACE GETS BUSY! Why?!? Because they do a great job, have many great products, and KNOW what they are doing. I ended up getting the SUV's stereo replaced, installed an alarm system on the vehicle, and added a back up assist camera and they did an excellent job in the installation, and their prices are very competitive, if not a little bit more reasonable than other places. Plus, they offer a military discount too! The whole staff there is really down to earth too, and best of all they treat you with respect. They are so good as to what they do that the day that I took my SUV there, Jose, one of Charo's Audio Plus technicians even found a faulty relay that was preventing my running lights to work, and fixed the problem on the spot! And all along, I had suspected that the reason that the running lights were not coming on because I had a faulty sensor that was not allowing the running lights to work. I had even ordered the parts from Amazon to replace the sensor, and now I am going to have to return them as my problem was fixed by these fellas! If you don't know what you are looking for, but you have an idea, these guys can help you out, and explain things to you in layman's terms in order for you understand the products and services. I am definitely going back for some window tinting and for some vehicle rims. Give them a try folks, I am more than sure that you will not regret your visit to them. These guys are great. They tinted the windows on my '95 Land Cruiser, a notoriously difficult vehicle for window tinting as it turns out. Joe did a great job. The price was lower than my expectations, but the quality was better than expected. They also fixed a backup camera that I had previously installed myself, but was not able to get working. I wanted to upgrade my Toyota Sienna soundsystem without breaking the bank, keeping the Toyota head. First they installed a set of JL speakers with a Key amplifier which produced a better sound than Toyota stock but the sound was still muddled after driving around for two days. So I brought it back and they installed a different set of JL speakers. Also the installer Hector did some research on how to get the best sound out of the amplifier Now its crystal clear sound even cranked up and Reuben the manager replaced the first set of speakers with different speakers at no additional cost. They stand behind their products and service. And best of all, I was able to get superior sound from my system for around $500. read more

I had them install a car alarm on my new Truck. I was very satisfied with the alarm that was recommended along with Excellent service that they had provided for me. They have quite a selection of of products especially for Stereo equipment. My truck already had a good enough sound system for my tastes, but if you want ultimate sound quality in your vehicle I would say consider them. They have an "amazing" selection of sound systems that they can custom provide based on what I saw in their store.
