Outstanding Service & 5-Star Experience We recently had an unexpected transmission issue while traveling back to San Diego after dropping our son off at ASU. After spending nearly an entire day pulled over on the side of the road and trying to figure out what to do, we eventually had our vehicle towed to Ramco and stayed overnight at a hotel. We truly couldn't have ended up at a better place. From the very beginning, Ramco was professional, honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly fair. They took the time to explain everything to us, were completely transparent about our options, and never made us feel pressured or like they were taking advantage of a stressful situation. Because we were traveling and dealing with an unexpected vehicle problem, I wanted to make sure we were getting the right information. I reached out to my brother-in-law, who works for San Diego Police Department (SDPD) and is responsible for the mechanical work on their vehicles. I explained everything Ramco had told us, and he gave me the exact same explanation and diagnosis. That gave me a tremendous amount of confidence and reassured me that Ramco was being completely honest with us and that we were not being taken advantage of. Their expertise and honesty gave us peace of mind, and most importantly, they helped get us safely back on the road so we could make it home to San Diego. I only wish Ramco were located in San Diego because I would absolutely continue using them and recommend them to everyone I know. If we are ever in the area and need automotive service again, Ramco will definitely be our first call. Five stars doesn't feel like enough. Had an honest interaction with them did a service on my transmission of fluid drain, filter change, and fluid replace. It was a 2011 Chevy Tahoe with 200,000+ miles. I was impressed that they pull the pan and don't try to sell you a flush or power flush or any of that stuff. Didn't try to upsale me on anything and was done quickly. Customer service skills could use a little work but they were not rude in any way just a little bit unwelcoming. That's why 4 instead of 5. Team RAMCO came with a strong recommendation and I can see why! They do not rush anything! They methodically work through your transmission to find the problem. If it turns out they have to disassemble part of your transmission, they will disassemble the whole transmission to look for any other problems that may be, or are about to exist. This will save a customer in the long run. If there are problems with other parts, that are not an immediate problem, when they become a problem, it is another tear down, another big bill. What con.....told me it would take over 3 hours being highly complex, we've done dozens of them he bragging I have detailed instructions at 1 or less hours .and very easy to do. At 75 with no mechanical skills or tools...I need a mechanic not a con artist. Found a great mechanic, took less than a hour. furthermore proving my point. Buyer Beware ofthis company. read more

Took my Jeep in to have a growl looked into with the transfer case. After inspection, I was advised the tranny is the culprit. So after a rebuild tranny, and a teardown of the transfer case to check, I got a call telling me the rear main was leaking. I should have went in to look because I had no leaks prior to this visit. Its the integrity of the mechanis that would perform work on a vehicle that was clearly unnecessary thats in question. I had to return the jeep because they did not get the new rear main in right and it did leak. They did another rear main. This was in december 25. Now in April 26, the rear main still has a drip, but I went to change my oil and found they put a bunch what looks like JB Weld around my oil drain plug. After that much $$$ I should not have any issues, yet here I am. I sould have fixed it myself, and now I guess I will. read more

I usually do not review products or companies and I most certainly never give anyone a five star rating as everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. BUT, I must say, that even though I had issues when I picked my truck up, Trisha and Flash at Team Ramco, went out of their way to resolve my issues to make it right. WOW, I knew that I was going to please with the workmanship that they preformed on the transmission and rear part of the drive train but when a couple of issues came up after they did the work they went the extra mike to take care of me. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I had my transmission worked on in Colorado Springs and they put a bandied on the problem, Traveling from Colorado Springs to Yuma the same problem came back. I contacted team Ramco, talk with the owner Flash and even if it was just before Christmas they were able to look after me. A fantastic team took care of our RV and we were able to have it fixed properly and back to us just before New Years. I would and already did recommend them for fast and efficient repairs. They even offered me to stay in the RV and would provide 50 amps connection to help, they went above and beyond I made it back home with no issues. Thank you Flash and your team. read more

Amazing people! They fixed my Jeep it runs better then when I bought it . They helped me with advice with damage aaa towing did to my jeep and helped me with paper work on the car dealership that sold me the jeep . The dealership did some shady stuff with my Jeeps electric panel and they found out about it and helped me out with what I should do . I'll only take my jeep here ! This place is amazing ! read more

I am new in area, I was referred to Team Ramco when my vehicle would not start. I had it towed to their shop for repair. I was given a loaner vehicle in the meantime. I received a call that they discovered what the issue was and determined that it was something they do not service. They could have just called and said "We cannot fix this, you will have to find someone else and take it there." But instead they called around and found someone who could repair it, and forwarded their findings to the other shop, then let me know where I could take it. That is service!!. In addition, they allowed me to continue to use the loaner vehicle until the other shop completed the service on my vehicle. I was more than appreciative of the service they provided, and would recommend doing business with them. read more

Such horrible experience , be careful we just picked up a truck that was supposed to be fixed yesterday and not even 5 minutes driving it it it couldn't go over 40 miles they charged 750 plus keep in mind we paid 6,000 dollars 2 months ago for a transmission . Years ago we had the transmission in our Ford f-350 rebuilt be a reputable shop near San Diego. Shortly after that rebuild we traveled east with our 35' travel trailer. Nearing Yuma, the truck started flashing a transmission light. It was late on a very hot day when we stopped at Ramco. The owner "Flash" immediately welcomed us into his cool waiting area while his staff made some inspections to explain the fault light. Not finding anything, he asked for us to spend the night so that they could make a more extensive diagnosis with a test drive in the morning. He provided full hook-up for us to stay in his locked facility overnight. He even offered us a car to use while there. The next morning, a technician rode with me for on the interstate using a sophisticated computer to analyze any problems. Finding none, Flash assured us that all was well and to enjoy our trip. We offered to pay for the amazing service, but Flash would accept nothing. He didn't know us from Adam, yet still provided us incredible hospitality. Ramco is great! read more

It's been 3 years 6 months since this shop replaced my transmission. After putting over 200.000 miles on my original transmission in 13 years before ramco replaced it , it now has developed a rather heavy oil leak in the front seal, and a possible burnt smell in oil, 6 months after the 3 year warranty expired. Prior to that since the replacement I've had a constant transmission fault code that won't go away. I will be returning to the shop Monday to see what they say. read more

My 2003 F-150 automatic transmission's third gear went out a few weeks ago. After conducting some research on the repair options I decided to give this local shop a try. The owner "Flash" was very informative during the entire process. He explained the required troubleshooting for the transmission and then gave me different options in regards to the repair. He searched for used transmissions and he quoted me the price for a rebuild. I also had questions about how a torque converter worked and I was given a class concerning how torque converters are repaired by the on site expert "Bear". After all was said and done I chose to go with a complete rebuild and I couldn't be any happier! The truck drives and shifts smoothly like if it were a newer vehicle. Before taking my car to Ramco I received an estimate, which took 6 days, from a local dealership. The dealer estimate was over $5,000 to do major repair work to the transmission & other things. Since the car is only 3 years old a friend of mine who is a mechanic suggest I get a 2nd opinion & estimate from Ramco. I am VERY glad I did. They found (within 24 hours) that all it needed was a carbon cleaning and to replace a faulty spark plug. The car runs like new and it only cost a couple of hundred dollars. Also, Ramco set me up with a loaner vehicle for free. Thanks Ramco for the great work & especially for your honesty. read more

They do not stand behind their parts and service. Their truck transmission only lasted less than 20,000 miles and they were only happy to hear that it was past the 24 month warranty, and I need to buy another transmission. They didn't care to determine the failure so they could improve next time. Basically they were stating the transmissions wear out just by sitting there. And they use inferior procedures. On a $3500 transmission, instead of replacing a $35 tube they use JB Weld to fix a crack. They also instead of using Heli coil to fix stripped pan bolt threads, they used Loctite on them. Since they used poor procedures on these parts, they most likely also put in inferior parts inside their so-called bullet proof transmissions. read more

I can't comment on the quality of work yet, time will tell if the transmission rebuild they did will last, my review is on customer interaction, I try to be pleasant everywhere I patron and most places in Yuma I've visited have been great except this place. Best shop I've been to, really cares about your car/truck. Completely re did my tranny for my 2004 5 speed mustang and it looks beautiful gave me a run down of everything. Put a completely new tranny in my husbands f250 and it runs great now. Really great people he took really good care of us. Will never go to any other shop. read more

Use this shop at your own risk. I am one of a number of snow birds that found this out the hard way. This transmission shop has a reputation of giving you a lowball quote with nothing in writing and then after the work is done, still with no quote in writing, gives you a bill much higher than what was quoted. In my opinion this is fraud. Be warned. This happened to me in 2016. I have referred this to the AZ consumer protection agency. read more

The Team was great and prompt and great for keeping costs under control. I have read a couple of reviews especially the one that never used them for services. (Kelly's yelp review), drove by and didn't like the correct reference to (We won, You lost, now shut up) which is just an honest comment on the Snowflakes that continue to whine. After all this time, a real supporter of the Republic and Democracy would support Americas leaders in office to keep America proud and strong, but not the left. My opinion Flash and his team were great on my Jeep trans and rear end. In fact a neighbor friend took his Dodge Diesel to the Dodge Dealer in Yuma for a small leak in his transmission, estimate to fix 2500 dollars. He brought it to Ramco and 30 minutes and 65 dollars later it was good to go. That has to say something for Honor and integrity. I will never go anywhere else. team ramco is so far the best place i have been to get my rv repaired. they treated me with complete respect. the prices were more then fair. they even let me stay there in my rv while they worked on it. they also have showers if you need them. thank you flash! read more

I Live in Quartzsite Arizona and was shopping in Yuma on Black Friday. Quartzsite is 82 miles away one way. My car died at the bank, I couldn't get the gearshift to work. The car started but it wouldn't budge. I had my car towed by AAA to TEAM RAMCO. I remembered three years ago when my son a Marine was stationed in Yuma. He had taken his wife's car to Ramco because he had two other estimates that were outrageous because my son knows about cars. He knew it was not an honest quote. So he went to Flash....and boy was he honest. His team/people are amazing. Flash himself served...so thank u for your service Falsh! Team Ramco loves and treats are military people very very well and I remember that so I had my car towed to TEAM RAMCO....it was after hours but Dave just happen to still be on site. I am going to be 66 years old and disabled and was alone 82 miles away from home with my dog he very well could've put me outside the gate after he closed up with my car inside. But he didn't. That wonderful man Dave, stayed with me for over an hour until my son drove in from California to pick me up. Talk about service!!! Well this was above and beyond service and the following Monday I got a call from them that it was something very simple. Only cost me less than $350 where as being that my car is 13 years old....they could've really pulled something off on an old lady cuz I wouldn't of known the difference if he told me it cost me $1350. But Flash & his great team of guys don't play that game. Everytime i called i was treated w respect & as a valued customer! They're honest honest people and for anyone to attack their Christian values as in a post here, is absolutely ludicrous. When i pocked up my car here was a lovely thank u card inside on the pasenger seat! WOW...what great people!
