I took my truck to Accurate to repair damages done by another auto mechanic in Yuma. After George inspected my brakes he determined that not only were they installed improperly but several parts were broken. He recommended I return it to Unzueta so they could fix what they did but I didn't trust them. George offered to fix my brakes whilst honoring the warranty, something Unzueta didn't want to do. George is honest, thorough and has your back. He's my go to mechanic in Yuma now. read more

My wife's truck had an issue with rough idling. It would also stall when stopped but in gear. Spent about $900.00 at Accurate to fix the issue ultimately without success. I'm sure they fixed/cleaned a few things that needed it along the way but after a while it would continue to stall eventually. I finally just went on YouTube and found that it could possibly be the canister purge valve. I spent about $50.00 and now it's running great. Accurate is pretty good but apparently with YouTube I'm better. Update: this is the first time someone has called to discuss my post. Let me be clear, if something was actually wrong with my vehicle I would take it to the pro's at Accurate here in the foothills. I realize that several things need to be checked sometimes to diagnose a problem. This was a small issue that was costly and I was able to fix it myself. Working here from out of town, when my truck broke down. Unfortunately for me, the first few calls I placed were fruitless. Seems as every shop in the area was booked solid. The folks at accurate automotive were able to "fit" me into their schedule and provide the needed repairs ASAP. My disabled husband and nephew broke down in Yuma on their way to San Diego. With the greatest of fortune AAA towed them to their Foothills facility on a Friday afternoon, helped them unload the vehicle, took them to the rental car, and called to let me know the car would be checked out Monday morning. Monday, George called with a detailed plan of action, and ordered parts. Thursday he called to share the car was ready. The entire transaction could not have been handled more professionally. My car was returned running and clean! I feel I was treated fairly with the repair, superbly in a break down situation, and with tremendous transparency and concern throughout the transaction. My son was driving from San Diego back to school at ASU in Tempe Arizona. After making a pitstop in Yuma, he swerved to avoid a car that pulled in front of him and ran over the curb. He ended up with a big hole in the oil pan and he broke off the timer off of the engine and needed a new timing chain. Accurate automotive towed him for free diagnosed the problem and was able to order the parts and have them shipped overnight. He got my son on the road the next day so he didn't have to miss class. read more

This shop is wonderful. My fiancée was on his way to get me from California when his axle broke in Yuma. Luckily their tow truck driver Scott was able to find the problem and George (I think), the manager rushed the job to get him back on the road. Had a tire blowout had to be towed Israel works for this tow company and he is amazing and it was very hot out and he had his rig nice and cool for us when we got in I had a friend with me he took both of us to the tire shop course I had to buy a whole new set of tires anyways he is a wonderful person and this is a wonderful company I can't say enough good about this experience it could have ended up being such a stressful one and they triple A said it would take 45 minutes for somebody to come and he was here within 20 it was hot outside Israel is a keeper he's all about customer service and being safe you kept my car safe he kept us safe everything read more

Do not, I repeat, Do not take your car to this shop! I was on a cross country trip with my family when my AC went out. I needed a new Compressor, a new Accumulator, and a new Orifice Tube. This is not a cheap repair, but it is not the crazy expensive repair that they claimed it was! They gave me a $2000 quote and told me I needed parts that aren't even part of my AC system! I guess they thought I was a clueless tourist, so they tried to take advantage. Not only did they want $2000, they couldn't even get the parts for two more days! The final straw was when they suggested that it would be safer to remove my AC belt for my drive home. This was the correct thing to do, but they said it would take 45 minutes to do it at an additional charge of $75!!! I drove the car 20 minutes from their shop, back to my hotel, and removed my belt in just over 10 minutes. Drive and repair took me 31 minutes combined!!! I drove back home and got the job done for an even $1000 and didn't have to wait for parts. I got three quotes in So. Cal and all of them were far below the $2000 quote that I had received from Accurate Auto Attention. Please stay away from these thieves. I felt like Chevy Chase in the movie Vacation working with these guys. read more

I would not recommend this shop whatsoever! I had a water pump going out in my older Ford Taurus. I think they thought since I was out of state they could price gouge someone that doesn't know cars. they check it out and say Yes you're h2o pump is leaking and the bearing is bad (duh). then they say that my timing cover is leaking and that that is alot of labor to repair or replace. I watched from outside and the mechanic never got on the ground under the car (except to jack it up) and no way could you see if the cover was leaking from under the hood. so the estimate was $1,450.00 if the cover would clean up and seal. $1980.00 if I had to buy a new cover. This is $1500 dollar car. i knew it was just a water pump so I paid 55.00 bucks for the diagnostic.( the tech looking under the car from his knee and seeing a leak) and left this ripoff shop and rolled into El Centro where I asked 1 person at Walmart where a good shop was and they replaced my water pump for $300.00 and told me my timing cover had no leaks. that was 5000 miles ago and still working fine ,no leaks' STAY AWAY AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO NOT PATRONIZE THIS SHOP!! read more

Broke down in Yuma on the way home to Phoenix. Had car towed here. Was told nothing could be done because it was electrical and they couldn't read codes and that it needed to go to a Land Rover repair shop. Called my mechanic in Phoenix(not a authorized Land Rover repair shop) and he said he'd take a look once it was towed to him. Within an hour of him getting it he called and said "knew right away when I tried to start it to check the starter and it was dead". A $340 fix. We spent over $1,000 on extra night at hotel, car rental, and towing because AAA "couldn't read the codes". So, if you run into trouble like we did in 110 degree weather DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Do not give this place your business. I came down to visit my Dad ,who is 72 ,in Yuma and he had told me that he had brought his car into Accurate Automotive to get work done on it , he showed me the receipt from them, and they charged him $1,600.00 dollars total for repairs. They charged him over $500.00 to replace the fuel pump and a couple lines. He got the car back, drove it 12 miles and it died. I removed the gas tank and there wasn't a single line that had been replaced. I also removed and replaced the fuel pump which they claimed had been replaced but had not even been touched, the filter on the fuel pump was old and torn and the rubber hose connecting the pieces of the pump was old, rotten and torn also. This shop has no business being in business, how many other elderly people have they screwed over? read more

We were driving through Yuma on our way to Phoenix when the A/ C in my sons truck went out. We pulled in around noon and all the techs were at lunch. The manager was quick to help us out at look at the truck. Within 30 minutes we were back on the road. He was polite, courteous and extremely helpful. He took the time to explain to me what had happened and how he fixed it. With our AAA discount, it was under $45. I would bring my car there again, but hopefully not too soon. read more
