Walmart Auto Care Centers

This was the first time I ever got an oil change at the Walmart Auto Care Center. I used their…read moreFoothills location, and the Auto Center is behind (almost hidden behind) the main store. I had an appointment and the oil change took just over an hour. My main complaint is that it took another 20 minutes for them to get my paperwork ready. They texted me that the car was ready, I could see my car in the parking lot, and I thought I could see my key on some paperwork on their counter. But apparently they had placed my key on someone else's paperwork, and told me my car was not ready. I explained the above to them -- they finally figured it out, and the mechanic went back into the garage and found my paperwork. I think they were embarrassed but they offered no apology or amends. A second complaint is that the waiting area is very small -- just two metal benches by the tire section, so you breathe in tire-rubber fumes while you wait. A third complaint is that some customers use the Auto Center to check out with their purchases, and so there is often a line -- the Auto Center clerk is also a cashier for other purchases. Some customers use the Auto Center parking lot and enter Walmart through those back doors -- I guess to avoid the congestion of the main parking lot. The best way to manage it is to make an appointment on their website, and plan to do some shopping while you are there. You can access the main store from inside the waiting area. They are open 7 days per week which is a real advantage if you are a working person. Even though I gave them only 3 stars, I will consider using them again. They got the job done, and I have to shop at Walmart anyway.

Knowledgeable staff and super helpful. I was in and out very fast. Will for sure be coming back!read more

I will continue to give these guys the very best rating!!…read moreUnfortunately, my car is a 2003 and I am not able to purchase a new car at this time. I have gone to Big Tires at this location 3 times now for 3 different problems. Each time I was treated very well. Each time their expertise lead straight to the problem within 10 minutes!!! Unbelievable. Last night when starting my car -I heard a noise and it ran rough. I drove to the nearest mechanics-won't mention names. They looked and said "oh it could be many things" they were open until 8pm and didn't even bother with me!! So....I rambled down the road. I knew if I made it in time the employees at Foothills Big O Tires would help me! And they sure did!!! Even tho I arrived at 5:45pm they rushed right over to help. I want them to know...AND they need to know how very grateful I am. They deserve an EXCELLENT review. Sorry I didn't catch the girl's name that helped me in the office-but she came right out and explained to the mechanic Butch what my problem was and they both started researching the problem. Then the Manager Ian came out and Butch and Ian did their best to help me. I will send everyone I know to this place when they have car problems.

Not satisfied with their online reservation service. We made an appt for 11am (for a dually tire…read morerotation and resetting of the tpms system) that showed open online yet when we got here for our appt they said sorry, that time had been taken and was not available. They said we should have received an email and a call from an associate. Yes, we received an email (when we looked a while later after arriving here) but who checks emails all the time especially when you are getting out the door to get here and (2), no, we did not get a follow-up call from an associate. They totally dropped the ball by (1) not having their online calendar up to date and (2) having an associate not doing his job by callinus. When we walked in to check in he was helping someone else and just said oh ya, I meant to call you on that. Did he say sorry about that... . Luckily the gentleman helping us did better and was able to get us in approx15-20 mins later to get our work done. So, we appreciate you that. It's just not the same place like it used to be. Is this place under new management or ownership? It seems like it but not sure as the customer service is definitely not what it used to be. Just disappointed all in all but glad the gentleman helping us was able to do better than the other guy. And, yes, this service was covered under our original tire purchase. So, a good value for $0 dollars.

TERRIBLE! I WOULD NEVER CONSIDER THESE PEOPLE FOR ANY REPAIR…read more 1. They will overcharge you for used parts invoiced as "NEW" Always double check the parts on your invoices and ask them for the part numbers! If you see them back stepping, it's not good. I found a $1,000 front drive shaft that didn't show up on any vendors website. When I called them out on it, he said he would have to call me back "Because their INTERNET GOT VERY, VERY SLOW" Once I spotted this, Their entire credibility went down the pipes. 2. Convenience Mechanics, what's good for their pocket, NOT YOU! They will pick & choose jobs based on what's easy for them. And even if you give them the job based on good faith. They'll still find a way to screw it up. I didn't need an oil change or air filter. I told them to focus on the rear main seal. 3. Failure to perform a basic "Oil change" My truck sat in their lot FOR OVER A MONTH! & when I picked it up. IT HAD NO OIL & THE OIL FILTER LOOKED OLD & USED! When I checked the invoice for the filter. It was the wrong brand. And then he asked me "What type of filter it was on" How disappointing. 4. Mishandling Parts on "Basic Connectors & Switches." I found a broken clip to the mass airflow sensor, something that you have to be-careful when removing it but their work ethic was brash, forgetful & clumsy. 5. Failure to Communicate effectively & verify working Jobs. Initially I called & texted to confirm the transmission job seal replacement was included in the price. And they said Oh yeah, don't worry about it that's already included in the price. ONLY TO DISCOVER THAT IT NEVER WAS! COME ON MAN! A $4,400 Job & they treated it like an after thought. 6. Lazy & Incompetent Mechanics. 7. SAFETY INSPECTION FAILURE. Before I rolled out their lot I asked them "Is the vehicle safe on the Road?" "Oh Yes! Everything was checked & inspected for safety" BULLSHIT! When I went to verify if everything was bolted & secure. I noticed the inspection cover to the transmission was missing. Leaving the inner transmission exposed. You could cause an explosion from the middle of the truck breaking it in half. And if your traveling at a high rate of speed, forget about it cause it's over! All for the negligence of their so called...."Inspection" When I asked them about it, they denied it. So I had to point it out again on their invoice until they finally admitted to it. He called it a minor forgetful incident. I said "For who? How about if it was your car, I asked him? Would you accept that service? No, he said, "I would not accept that service." Finally an Honest Answer I thought. In the end they took some accountability for their bad service and even bought me a new cover to the transmission. However, I still had to put it on myself cause they lost my respect. I managed to receive a partial refund from them, but I got the sense they were more angry than sorry. The vibes don't lie. The only reason why I got any money back was because I threatened to expose them. I had the Better Business Bureau, The Cities Safety Commission, The Bar for Auto Mechanics, I had everyone lined up on a list ready to roll and it was gonna be a huge negligence and endangerment shut down! I had the sheriffs office already in mind and everything. The threat was real. So once they took a serious look at their exposure they backed up and said "Alright buddy we'll give you back some money but... Please don't shut us down.." However I am a man of my word and I still have to put you on blast for your horrendous business practices. And remember if they did it to me, You bet your ass they'll do it to you! Being a Mechanic comes with a lot of genuine public notoriety & when they're doing sketchy work, it's only gonna come back to REMIND YOU! SO HONOR YOUR WORD & STAND WITH INTEGRITY WHILE SERVNG YOUR COMMUNITY! IF OTHER BUSINESSES HAVE PROVEN TO DO IT, WHY CAN'T YOU?
