My son TDI diesel engine had a major break-down of the fuel injection system. The car came to a total stop while he visited us in Yuma, Finding a good diesel mechanic is a difficult thing to do in Yuma. I took the car to "the best diesel mechanic" (so we heard) in Yuma. This assessment by many was never proven out because he was so busy and he was working alone. The car was with him for nearly two months and he never got to work on it! So my normal mechanic referred me to BMF (Brent). I ended up having the car towed to him and he got right to work on it the same day. What a different experience compared to waiting over two months for the mechanic starts. I immediately started getting text messages that included pictures of the damage and the work to replace the crucial part of the injector system that had failed as well the cleaning for the entire injector system the failed part had contaminated. Pictures, pictures and more pictures kept coming. For some that might not seem too important but for me it was. I know a bit about cars and repairs I am just too old to do the work myself so the pictures help me see what had happened and what work was required to get the car up and running. I applaud his texting and images! To close, the best news for the last paragraph within the first two days Brent had researched the cost of the parts needed and estimated his time to do the work. His cost was somewhere in the $5,500.00 neighborhood. My son approved the number and we moved forward. The very next day Brent texted with a new price and no it was not higher as you might be thinking IT WAS LOWER! The price was now over $1K lower using the same brand of parts as the higher cost. Brent was able to find the parts at a lower price. So how many times have you ever had that happen? Brent is the real deal! I had two vehicles that were giving me a hard time, one of which I'd been fighting with for nearly a year. I decided to bite the bullet and try and find a trustworthy mechanic (almost an oxymoron these days) when I got ahold of Brent at BMF Garage. I told him the symptoms and he seemed confident and very knowledgeable so I scheduled some time for the first vehicle. In no time he had discovered the cause of our Trailblazers misfire and had it running like new shortly after. I then asked if he could take a look at the AC and a motor for the seat. Shortly after that and he was done. When he told me the total cost I happily payed and quickly asked if he could come back the next day to look at my Raptor. The next morning he was right on time and started to dig into my truck. I didn't have the highest of hopes since this truck has had weird electrical issues for months that I could only make rough guesses as to the source of the problem. Once again, I'm what seemed like an impossibly short amount of time he had it diagnosed, located the fault in the wiring harness, and repaired it. He also replaced my blower motor which was on its last leg. He wasted no time and amazed me with his acute ability to hone in on the root cause quickly and efficiently, then fix it for good. All while remaining professional and displaying a sense of importance my vehicles problems were to him. I can't speak highly enough of this true professional; hands down the best mechanic I've ever hired. This is a long-overdue review of Yuma's best choice for those with cars that have been allowed to deteriorate through use over time due to neglect of all those little and big things the average driver knows very little about. You need a guy who is going to figure things out and fix them as you go along. Brent is sharp and has common sense. He fixed a dozen things on my vehicle and had he not addressed some things I had no idea were a concern, I would surely be a traffic fatality by now. The guy is insane. He's very knowledgeable and knocks out any issue that comes his way. I've taken my truck over to more than I would've wanted and it always comes back with no issues and the job well done. He's fixed my throttle. He has removed and installed multiple panels, bumpers, the bed, and drivers door. Replaced my evaporator which requires removing the entire dash off. And various other things. I'm taking my wife's car to have some work done soon. Can't wait to get her car back repaired and looking good. Very knowledgeable mechanic and he does great work. I've taken my vehicle to him for several separate issues. He always completes the work in a timely manner and fir a reasonable price. While working in the vehicle he will send pictures of the work he is doing and will let you know if there are any other issues. I had a check engine light come on a couple weeks after he did some work. He rushed to my house to run a diagnostic and quickly resolved the issue. Brent has a new walnut shell blasting machine for cleaning carbon deposits on intake valves and it works great. Mine were severely caked and no piston passed a leak down test but walnut blasting followed by a BG clean got them back to pristine conditon and my 350k mile 3.5 Ecobeast now runs better than ever. read more
