They are comparable to Mrs. Tiggy Winkles, only locally owned and operated. The last time I was there, I purchased for my son a trivia sheet that was appropriate for ages 2-3, as well as kid-friendly chop sticks. We also purchased an ez-pz table mat for him, which includes a built-in "plate". It was 2$ more than what was listed on amazon.ca, but, I was very happy to support a local business (and to try it out at home the same day, haha).

Unfortunately, my experience at the checkout was the complete opposite. The person at the cash register, who I believe may have been the owner, did not acknowledge me when I approached. For approximately 20 seconds, she continued looking down without making eye contact, saying hello, or even recognizing that I was standing there waiting. When she eventually served me, the entire transaction took place without a single greeting, thank you, or any other interaction. After paying, my puzzles were simply left on the counter without a bag. When I politely asked if I could have one, she visibly rolled her eyes before reluctantly placing my purchases into a bag. Customer service can make or break a shopping experience, and unfortunately this one left me feeling unwelcome and like my business was an inconvenience. As someone who purchases a significant number of puzzles and is actively involved in the local puzzle community, I was disappointed because I had hoped to support a local business. Sadly, I won't be returning. There are many businesses that appreciate their customers and provide friendly, respectful service, and those are the ones I will choose to support in the future.
