The inside is chic, clean, vibrant... The service on February 7, 2026 was incredibly warm and efficient. My daughter ordered a kid's temperature hot chocolate ($3) and a blueberry muffin ($3 - so delicious). I ordered a delicious hot vanilla latte ($5). There is a drive-thru plus they accept phone and online orders. They were established in 2021, but I am uncertain if they have been in this building for that much time. I loooove this coffee shop in Brownfield, TX especially on my way to Lubbock. I regret not stopping here sooner!

When the right people succeed in a small town like Lubbock, there's nothing but joy I feel. One of…read morethe best consistent and on-point food trucks in Lubbock for a while has been Taste Buds. Spending many weekends outside Good Line in Tech Terrace, Taste Buds is a modern take on cafe food. They use some of the freshest ingredients in Lubbock and put so much care into their small but ever-changing menus every week. For the past few years, they've been running out of a food trailer, but thanks to their quality and success, they opened a brick and mortar location off 50th Street earlier this year. I finally got to check out their new spot, and it's everything I'd hoped it'd be. When I went on Friday, they were hosting an artisan market on their premises so they were pretty busy selling out of their menu, but my girlfriend and I were able to get what we wanted. Inside, the shop is decorated to the nines with decor and cute artifacts everywhere. It felt like a curated antique shop. If you see the pictures attached to this review you'll understand. I ordered a lemon pepper seasoned version of their Fried Chicken Sammich that has some of the freshest lettuce around and an excellent mayo (maybe house made?) on their sesame seed bun. The chicken was super crispy but not dried out and overcooked on the inside. Fantastic. My girlfriend ordered their weekend special naan wrap with chicken with cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and pickled onions. She loved it. Both of our meals were served with their house-made chips that were crispy and fresh. I could eat a whole bag of them. For dessert, we split a Chocolate Cake with a blueberry compote. It was very similar to a black forest cake, though the compote was served on the side. All the flavors played the same as a black forest cake. It was a great conclusion to the meal. The prices are pretty fair for the quality of the food and the fresh ingredients. The sandwich ran me $14.75 and the cake was $6.99 which was a great size to split between two people. You're paying for fresh ingredients and quality here, so it's worth any price tag. Taste Buds is still reaping the rewards of their success thanks to the quality food they put on the table, and I'm excited to see them continue to have success in Lubbock because there's no place doing it like them. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were very reasonable (I'm used to San Francisco prices so it's not hard for me to think anything is reasonable.) I had a cold brew that wasn't very strong for being a cold brew and my brother had an iced Cuban that was still a tad too sweet. There were some good looking pastries that we didn't try. The restaurant was clean and well maintained with a rather large parking lot. I have never had Braum's but I'm really curious about the food beyond the incredible Ice Cream! My dad is really particular about his food, and the owner made him a hamburger steak he couldn't believe (see photo-he was glad he was wearing pants with an elastic waistband. 18 oz of beef between the two patties, sautéed onions, and brown gravy, plus a salad Texas toast).
