The awesome view from this awesome restaurant

Is the second time I've been here and it's super awesome. First time I came was on a Friday night and we ate the unlimited fish fry, which is absolutely excellent and the first time I've ever had a fish fry, also ate the crispy Seabass, which was amazing, the advertisements are all super fire, and the service is the best. I just met the owner and the owner's father, super awesome people, the kind of restaurant and person you want to support. Definitely come here and try their awesome food which definitely includes the pizza which was graciously provided by Kyle and his dad. Will definitely come again next time I'm back in the Midwest so get your butt here and try their food, leave a fat tit and leave an awesome review.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. Went in there after a long hot week, was hoping to get some carry out for dinner. I walked in behind a group of people, they were seated right away. I waited for about a minute before a guy walked up and I said I wanted to order carry out. He responded saying "we're not doing g carry out on 4th of July weekend". I responded "ahhh, Really?" "Even right now?" Being not even 5pm on a Friday. I don't woke in a restaurant and don't know what they consider "the weekend". I go to walk out the door and he gives me a smug ass response "buy the building and you can make the calls" then before I turn around on the steps to reply he runs into the kitchen. So I go back up the stairs and wait till I see him Again. He walks out a different door goes around the back of the restaurant, does something at a table then starts walking in my direction and I asked him "What did you say to me?". Where he then says again "I said buy the building and you can make the calls". I said "I asked you a simple question and you give me a smug ass response for no reason". Then he says "he's just giving it like I gave it". Lmfaoooo..... total joke right?! I gave the guy absolutely zero attitude. The funniest thing is after looking up the restaurant it's one of the owners. Total shit thing to say to someone that's trying to actually support your business. Clean up your shitty attitude. The ability to be a decent person isn't difficult. The response he could have used that made me come Back to this place could have been as simple as a "sorry man" "sorry about that" "apologies on that". But you choose to be a mouthy little asshole. 0/5 stars Attached is a picture of the chubby little troll

Smash burger

Look in for a place to have lunch on the water. It was really a algae covered inlet but still enjoyed it. We were early and they seemed happy about the. By the time we were done the place was full. The food is from a scratch kitchen, we had a mezcal mango margaritta and a regular margaritta both were good. First we had the fried chicken cob salad wrap with blue cheese. Was tasty but more salad like. Secondly, I had the smash burger. The pimento cheese was suggested so I did. Was delicious, just what I hoped for. Service was speedy, seemed like it could be crowded and slow down. Was a boater stop, they had pier access. Over all we liked it and would probably go back.

Pelicans during their migration outside the restaurant

The service we had was absolutely wonderful. And the cheesecake was phenomenal! Loved the atmosphere and the view at sunset.

Spinach salad with steak and fried potatoes

Steve our server was absolutely amazing knowing the menu and drinks. This place is a hidden gem. Can't believe I have not seen this place on passing it on grass lake. Food was dead on perfect. The expresso Martini was made to perfection but if your having a rough day try the (The Pain Killer) after talking with the owner it explains why everything was so dead on perfect. Well experienced in high end restaurants.

All the food we have tried so far has been incredible, everything is house made and you can tell. Nothing like it in the area.

Brunch was terrific. Service with a smile. Updated dining room was nice. Live music during brunch was a plus.

Is this dog friendly?

We've brought our dog there and sat on the patio many times. They bring water bowls and our dog loved it!

The chicken shishkabob I ordered was seasoned well, the vegetables were grilled nicely, and the baked potato was fine. That said, the portion-to-price ratio on this particular dish was really hard to swallow. For $25, I expected a much more substantial plate. One skewer with literally four pieces of chicken and a potato on it is pretty ridiculous at that price point. Typically, shishkabobs are served in pairs to begin with, so four cubes of chicken on a stick for $25 is excessive. And that was on "Special". The food was good, but the value just wasn't there. I'll still come back because the place has a nice feel; the staff are friendky, and the meal wasn't bad by any means, but I'd definitely order something else the next time unless the portion size on the shishkabob is adjusted.

Service was fantastic. Views from the upper deck are…read more incredible! Great vantage point to watch a sunset!!!! I had a hickory burger with slaw. Awesome. My wife ordered a cheeseburger that wound up being a little bit undercooked. My daughter ordered a Southwest salad that was missing black beans and avocado. When we asked the waitress to inquire with the chef if that was normal, she came back and said yes. The Southwest wound up being salad, pita bread with a slice of some sort of cheese stuffed in it, pico in the salad and two tomato slices. Epic fail. The menu was fairly diverse but only had two seafood options. Fried pollock and fried shrimp. No fish tacos. No shrimp tacos. This place really does have a special location but needs some freshening up. The deck could use a power wash. The hand rail going up to the deck was broken at the top. I saw more than a few senior have an issue with it. Lots of potential to go to the next level here if the owner(s) are willing to take the initiative.
