I guess it was time that I actually came and visited the shop. Since I was pretty familiar with the location, finding the store was a breeze and local. Was pretty excited to come and check out the physical location not gonna lie. When I stepped into the shop, I was immediately surprised on the size of the store and how much stock they carry. There were albums all along the wall, from the floor to the ceiling. Some tables in the middle of the store with albums and other smaller items at and behind the counter. Being my first time there, I wanted to browse around. I started looking for my favorite artists. Although I am not sure how their albums are set up, I did manage my groups without any assistance. Since I was there to pick up my preorders I spoke to the person behind the counter. The lady helped me grab my items and I was pretty much on my way out in no time. I think this place is fine if you collect these kinds of items, but, as an outsider, I thought the prices were pretty high. The staff does not care either. They were too busy sitting at the front chitchatting with each other. I didn't buy anything myself, but they looked annoyed when other people would interrupt their conversation to buy things. Quite the opposite of what you want for a store. They had a downstairs as well, but I didn't bother checking it out.

I loved the variety of concert merch, keychains, and extras from albums are lined up in their other store upstairs. There's jewelry, makeup and decals for lightsticks. Definitely loved the inclusivity of visiting KPOP Stans and wanting to leave notes on their wall. Tons of areas for selfies. Also an area to leave their photobooth strip to be featured on the window in the first floor shop. There's variety in music selection and MV selection playing in the store. What I did not like is there was so much clutter in one corner with boxes, trash, tubes, and bags of inventory that needs to be away from customers.

They mostly offer new releases (trust me, with a variety of versions) and a few throwback albums (from the late 2010s / early 2020s). Their location on the other end of the hall (next to 그녀 샵 [Geu Nyeo Shop]) has an extensive selection of posters, lightsticks and a few souvenirs. Being a kpop stan on budget seems like an oxymoron, however I made it possible by focusing on posters during my first visit. Their posters are placed on shoebox like shelves and are labeled according to group/artist. Here's my tip upon selecting posters: be sure to read the labels above the barcode. It tells you the poster's name. However, if you'd like a sneak peek of what the poster looks like, you may search on Google or Choice Music's website to see an actual preview. Take your sweet time, as long as it's not as busy and/or if you're determined to get the poster(s) that you want. Some posters (for example Seventeen) have dedicated ones per unit (vocal, performance, hip hop) and some have all members in one poster. Surprisingly, all of my 3 posters were on sale that day. The prices are pretty decent here and can tend to be a bit cheaper than other stores. I recommend buying their albums that they have for pre-order because they are usually cheaper than other sites! I personally prefer going to other Kpop stores in the area since Choice Music is pretty small in size and can feel a bit cramped. However, the staff are very considerate and be sure to take your temperature/sanitize your hands before you enter!

They have a great selection of BTS Korea tour merchandise, including sweaters, shirts, jerseys, and other tour items. The sales lady and owner were both so welcoming and friendly. The owner clearly loves BTS and was so much fun to talk to! He even explained how the clothing cuts and sizing differ between the BTS Korea and Japan tour merchandise. And BTW--they told me they're getting BTS Japan tour merch next week!!!!!! They also carry merchandise and albums from other K-pop groups, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. They don't post everything they have on their website, so it's definitely worth stopping by the store in person. Such a fun find for BTS and K-pop fans!

Some things that stood out to me was seeing that they're strict on no outside food or drinks, and when I looked at the food and snacks sold, it was mostly Korean ramen or some ice cups, so the vibes here are meant to be very casual convenience-store hangout type. I also saw that the huge floor space also holds dances so that's pretty cool!! I found an album I really wanted to buy and thought it was cool to find exclusive merch from the store branch too from K-pop groups, especially Ateez. It seems like the albums and merch sold are recent (releases from same year or previous year) and aren't oversupplied with past old albums/merch like other kpop stores. The kpop albums sold wasn't bad; some groups were more highlighted than others but it's worth noting that there were exclusive hello82 merch which was nice. I bought a signed album for a good price ($23) and felt content. I think this store is good for the kpop community and helps foster cool things. I enjoy watching the youtube channel too. Past cupsleeve events are sold here too and there's also korean convenience food snacks/ramen station sold and plenty of tables to eat at while listening to kpop. Overall I had a pleasant experience but I do wish there were actually more merch from the artists performing at the actual event that's being advertised!
