RTF HOLDS NO ACCOUNTABILITY / OFFERS NO CUSTOMER PROTECTION AND ARE COMPLICIT…read more On November 25 2025 my son took a class at this gym as a Drop-In. To be able to book a Single $35 Class (Drop-In) online with Ronin Tactical Fitness (RTF) he was forced to use RTF's 3rd Party partner ClassPass for online payments. Since then ClassPass has been charging my son an $89 monthly fee to his Visa Card # for credits that he will never use at RTF because we now live in Virginia. Additionally, he had no clue that he was being charged the $89 monthly fee (4 months) because the email he received from ClassPass notifying him of these charges went straight to his Spam folder in his email mailbox. ClassPass is a company with a really bad reputation of scamming people. They have been continuously under legal investigation including a potential class action lawsuit that alleges the platform's credit-expiration policy violates federal and state laws. It is my strong belief that Ronin Tactical Fitness knew that their customers were being scammed by their Third-Party Payment Partner ClassPass and since have severed their partnership with ClassPass and are now using a different online payment service called Mindbody. However, this is no help or consolation to my son. When we brought this to RTF's attention they took no accountability for their Service Partners even though they are the ones who initiated the transactions which lead to my son being scammed. The bottom line is, a company's responsibility to protect their customers from being scammed by their partners. This is called Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), which requires assessing risk to their customers by performing upfront due diligence for selecting external suppliers, contractors, and partners. Ronin Tactical Fitness did a good kid wrong (via ClassPass) and we will see them in court.
