I was around the volleyball courts of Sunset Park one day and I saw RBBC... looked a little more like a challenging game show (I am a game show nerd so I walked over). Easily the best boot camp I have ever seen, and the first and only I'd want to be a part of. The classes are challenging, but aren't mindnumbing. You are actually engaged. Mike switches things up every class so the things you did on Monday aren't necessarily the things you'll do Tuesday. And (the gameshow part), there is a game at the end of every workout, which literally milks every last drop of competitiveness you have. Great classes, awesome instructor, and totally not monotonous. And the price was pretty solid too. Can't complain. (That and if I did, he'd probably make me do more burpees)

Seeing her come home week after week, sharing all her fitness success was impressive to see. She was losing weight and body fat like she was giving it away! She always came home motivated to improve even more. She couldn't talk enough about Jay. If I wasn't secure in our marriage I would have been concerned. Just kidding. Regardless she inspired me to sign up myself and invest in my health for the long run. I was eager and ready to sign up and see what all the "Jay Hype" was about. I sign up, I'm ready to get started, only to find out that I'm actually not signed up to work with Jay. Immediately I'm disappointed and let down. But I didn't let it deter me. When Jay told me I would be working out with Aja Mosley, I immediately Google searched her and came up with next to nothing. Made me even more worried. HOWEVER, Aja has been amazing and awesome since my first consultation with her. I told her off the jump, she had some BIG shoes to fill since I was not being trained be the all mighty, Jay and she did not back down at all but Rose to my challenge. SHE KICKED MY BUTT the first session. I struggled to make it to work lol. But once I recovered, I felt really good about my first step towards physical fitness. Aja scaled back the intensity just a bit so I could make it to work. We work out at 6am two days a week and she is energized and motivated to go every morning so far. What I enjoy most about the sessions with Aja so far is that they are never the same. She focuses on the whole body. And I have not repeated a circuit yet. Every day I look forward to what new challenging move she has in store for me. She incorporates barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, bands, TRX bands, half boso ball, yoga and pilates to name a few. When I follow the meal plan and workouts during the week, lbs have been following off me like melted butter. I have lost inches in my waist and my stamina has improved. I look forward to exercising more often now that I signed up with Secret Formula Fitness. Before this I took about a 3 year break from doing anything physically challenging. I plan to be a long time member with this team and can't wait to see my summer body after working hard for these results. Aja won't steer you wrong. After several months of physical therapy and lacking any instruction for wellness and back care from my physical therapist, a friend of mine suggested I consult with Steve as I contemplated going back to the gym. Steve met with me and went over my goals and developed a very smart workout program that incrementally increased over time in response to my improvement. He helped me improve my core strength and helped me understand how to stretch and workout in ways that improved my back health and my overall health. From the start, I have enjoyed working with Steve and find him to be friendly, patient, and someone who develops a diverse range of workouts that have evolved over time in response to my improvements and also keep me interested in being in the gym. I also find he can put together very challenging but very fun workouts as well. It is a pleasure working with Steve and I am now in great physical shape and feel stronger and healthier - it is one of the best times of my life in terms of physical fitness and health. From what I observe in most trainers at my gym, I can see that Steve is much more attuned to what his clients are doing and very focused on them when they are working with him. He is always helpful and encouraging and has a good sense of when to push and when to step back. I was reluctant to work out with a trainer and only agreed to come due to a friends reference. Steve has always been great with me and helped me devise workouts for the gym, workouts for when a travel, and workout plans that allow me to swim and run in concert with weight training, stretching and aerobic activity. I think taking a trail workout is the best way to see if there is a good fit between you and a trainer.
