Unfriendly owner and staff. Was not comfortable with how they spoke to me and treated others.

Despite my limitations, I still found this workout to be doable and accessible as a non fit person. Flex FiiT offers circuit style workouts that consist of different focus areas with a mix of weight training and cardio movements. The space is clean and big enough to fit at least 15 worker outers comfortably. We started out with a short warm up that consisted of jumping jacks, arm stretches with a resistance band, runner lunges and butterfly sit ups. Next, we moved into four movements that consisted of curls on each arm, resistance band pulls and one other movement that I've mentally blocked out of my mind and can't remember doing now. After four rounds of that we broke off into four stations including TRX training, using a ski machine, weighted squats and more curls. The finisher was a mix of jump squats, mountain climbers and froggers. The instructor went around checking everyone's form diligently which I really appreciated as someone who's coming back to working out after a while. She was motivating without screaming at you and being mean about it, another thing that was much appreciated at this stage in my fitness journey. I booked this through ClassPass and would probably join if this were closer to me in Astoria. If this studio is close to where you live I'd definitely recommend dropping in for a class.

One exercise for a few minutes before moving on to a completely different exercise. The coaches move around abd give pointers. Another plus are there are screens on the wall showing the exercises so if you forget what to do, lose concentration or need a reminder without wanting to ask a trainer it's right there. They don't have many bathrooms so the line gets long after class but that provide towels and massage guns are available. We wipe down what we used after class so it's clean. There is also a water station.

Love the music, very motivating mix. Sometimes I feel like fitness classes don't hit the music vibe just right, but they do really well at F45. It feels a little bit like a blend of "the future" ― since there are screens displaying the right form, etc., but you also get the benefits of in-person interaction with the coaches and the other people in class. Super appreciate that they provide towels and massage guns. I like that there's a simple warmup and cooldown stretch incorporated. Feels very no-bullshit, get-it-done, and positive vibes. Only one single-person bathroom/shower seems a little impractical, but other than that I really had a great experience.

I came as someone who was plateauing in my exercise regimen, and it was just what I needed to kickstart and see results. In addition to the welcoming, smart coaching staff, the facility is STUNNIN (showers, PT, changing rooms, lockers). At other F45s I've been to, people trudge in late and at different times. It can be distracting and disruptive. (2) Awesome instruction. I'm always getting feedback on form, and the instructors are always engaged. I appreciate the attention to detail, it's the only way I can improve. I go here almost everyday - highly recommend for anyone that's looking to burn fat, build muscle, and do it efficiently.

As a parishioner of St. Michael's, I often would hear the music at the 10:30 am mass and I wonder what it was. Time later, I saw an ad for F45 and I was like, Why not? I live close by. I followed the sign and I felt I was going to a Speakeasy. I am glad a good samaritan was right behind me and guided me through the basement area and long corridor. I just left their Tokyo class. I truly dont know why they call it Tokyo and kudos to the coaches - Jackie and Hernan! AMAZING. I told them my injuries and they provided modifications and suggestions amidst a very packed 9:30 am sunday class. Management - Please give them a raise!! As a former fitness pro, I am amazed with their high level of professionalism and I would come back again.

This class is perfect for people like me who get bored easily or for those who don't like doing an exercise move for more than 2 minutes at a time. The instructor, Luis, was absolutely amazing! He knew that it was both mine and my husband's first time taking a class at this location and he was very welcoming and friendly. Additionally, he was so great at watching all of us as we did the moves at each station. Anytime he saw bad form or someone doing something wrong, he immediately rushed over to assist. Although I've been doing HIIT workouts for 6+ years, the majority of which was with free weights or body weights. I have experience using the Row Machine, but very little experience using the Ski Machine. I really appreciated Luis coming over to help me learn how to use the Ski Machine properly!!! This kept me from getting injured and while also allowing me to actually get work done while using it. **TIP: They didn't do a warm up - we just jumped right in to the stations as soon as class started. So I recommend you warm up before class - you can thank me later!

The nice thing in group classes is that you can go at your pace and hopefully see progress for future classes. The HITS NYC boxing class was a lot of fun and even though I was a beginner, the owner and instructor Luis Novas, helped me out when I didn't know how to do the punches like everyone else. In addition to time on the bags there was also 1:1 time with training paddles with Luis which gets with technique and self esteem for the newbies like me. Overall, there's a great community feel to this gym. You can tell that Luis has a good number of regulars and it's easy to see why. The workout itself didn't disappoint (their "Varsity" session--more cardio-based)--I prefer strength but this was a strong, intense session. The instructor, Wes, was coo, encouraging, and helpful. I'll even let his yankee fandom slide. The space is interesting, and clearly (hopefully) a work in progress. Equipment is new and modern and excellent. Studio is reasonably spacious but potentially a tiny bit cramped for a large class (a lot of building support poles in the way as well--a bit awkward to maneuver at times.) Main drawback for me, though, is that there are no lockers, just some open cubbies in the front to store your things. Changing area a bit better, but really just two bathrooms and one shower. I changed in one bathroom which was ok but a bit tight. Their workouts are top-notch. If you are local and don't need a locker or to change it seems like a wonderful new addition as is. If you are in need of amenities or storage, you might have some qualms with it as is right now.
