I'll admit the less than glowing reviews gave me some hesitation; however my experience was pretty great with minimal pain on lidocaine injection and quick extraction. Recovery is going great (day 5) with soreness but no real pain nor swelling other than gum (? are stitches self dissolving). If I could give Zero i would. I schedule an appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed... took time off work... for him to say I can't put you under to remove your two impacted wisdom teeth. I also won't even remove one... ill remove half of one. You may need surgery later to have the rest removed... but thats at a later time.... Meanwhile, im in pain its 7 am in the morning and he said if you dont want to just use the needle you can reschedule. Im only here once a month. Frantically now trying to find a new surgeon that will take my insurance... this is over a holiday weekend when im suppose to work... I pre paid for my surgery... and now have to wait 5-7 business days and fork out more money to get my procedure done by another office. 0 out of 5 would recommend. read more

Mr. Izadi, and I call him mister not doctor, is the most rude, ill mannered, human being in the dentistry business. One would think that a doctor trained at the NY State University, and at the Columbia University school of dentistry would have learned how to handle anxious patients coming to him for care. My wife was humiliated by this quack because of her anxiety. He "refused" to do her extractions and sent her home still in excruciating pain from her dental problem. HE WOULD NOT HELP HER!!!!!! He lacks compassion for patients and simply wants to get paid. He gets agitated with his patients, and becomes verbally aggressive and demeaning. He has no business holding any license in ANY healthcare profession. It truly is a very sad testament to the other professionals graduating from Columbia University. I would recommend the California Board of Dentistry review his practice and revoke his license to practice dentistry anywhere within the United States. This guy is BAD NEWS...and should be avoided at all costs. I'd rather extract my own teeth than to go to this creep. Stay away from him if you value your smile. read more

In spite of the negative reviews, I would recommend Dr Izadi as my oral surgeon. About a month ago, my crown fell off. My primary dentist told me that the base tooth was cracked and would have to be removed and replaced by an implant or a permanent bridge. I went with the latter. Dr Izadi was contacted to do the surgery. He was kind and gentle. He was fast and after a couple of numbing injections took effect, he was done!! No pain!! This oral surgeon is very scary. When I told him I felt pain during my extractions, he became agitated and aggressive. He insisted it was pressure. No...it was pain! He, angrily, proceeded with the extraction. I was afraid to anger him further. After my procedure, I tried to call his office, a few times, for a question on aftercare. I was given a number to TEXT him. To this day (3 weeks later), he nor anyone from his office returned any of the messages or texts that I left/sent. There are a lot of choices for oral surgeons. Doctor Izadi surgically removed the root from a tooth that had a crown that had broken off at the gum, leaving root that was causing me discomfort. Procedure was completely painless, except for a little discomfort with the dumbing shot. Both of his assistants were also very caring and knowledgeable before and after the procedure, and explained my after care to me thoroughly, along with giving me the print out and making sure I'd have meds for pain when dumbness wore off and also antibiotics. My stress and worry were for nothing...Dr. Izadi was done in minutes, root removed and stitched up...I waited longer for the dumbing shot to take full effect. Wished I hadn't waited so long to get it done. Can't believe some of these bad reviews I've read...couldn't be the same guy! read more

Dr. Izadi placed the towels on my chest, and then threw the tools he was planning to use on top as if i was a table. He was extremely disrespectful when I kindly asked if he could slow down since I am significantly older, and got my last wisdom tooth out. i was not nervous walking in, but the fact that he kept leaving the room to work on another patient, left me felt insignificant and like he didn't care what was going on with me. he has the bedside manner of a bull in a china shop. his heart clearly isn't in his work anymore, and he's only here for the money. if you can find another doctor, i would 10000% recommend that you should. do not let this man come near you! read more

I had an appt scheduled with this oral surgeon (if you want to call him that) at Pacific Dental Group. They changed my appt time 3x and then the morning of canceled it saying that Dr Izadi changed his schedule. Clearly he has no regard for patients. I went to him in the Hemet office. DO NOT GO TO HIM. He has NO chairside manner and very rough and doesn't communicate. I was to have 3 teeth pulled. Two were the anchor teeth for an old bridge, they were cracked. The third one he pulled the wrong tooth. When I went to my regular dentist once they healed, my dentist told me he had pulled the wrong tooth. He even gave me a copy of the order that he sent over. He was supposed to pull #28 and he pulled #21 (a perfectly good tooth)! Now I have to schedule with another oral surgeon to get the right one pulled. (and pay again!!) Plus, then I have to wait for that one to heal before I can get the partial I need. NOT HAPPY! read more

Dr. Izadi removed my husband's 2 remaining wisdom teeth without anything but Novocain at my husband's request and it was a quick and painless procedure. My husband was happy that he numbed both areas very well, as he didn't feel anything, but a little pressure. He wrote him prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medication and he was good to go. Absolutely amazing doctor! I had all my wisdom teeth removed under general anesthesia by Dr. Izadi and I had not ONE BRUISE! Not even from the I.V. (which he placed himself)!! I also had no external swelling whatsoever!! I was so worried about the pain and my appearance that I took the whole week off of work but I was right back to my day to day activities within 24 hours. He prescribed Motrin 800, an antibiotic, and Norco but I never touched the Norco because I really had no pain whatsoever. Dr. Izadi really is an outstanding surgeon and I will recommend him forever! read more

I have a great anxiety with dentists. Dr Izadi made me feel comfortable when I shared that with him. I have used him 5 different times for extractions and root canals at 5 different offices due to the urgency at each time. I have always requested him and asked Delta Dental for the OK to go to whatever office he was at to treat me. I have only had pain after one tooth and that only lasted a day. (I always bring an ice bag or a zip lock to get ice like at McDonalds to fill it and put on my mouth on the way home.) He is soooo good that I have traveled over an hour one way to make sure I see him for the extraction or root canal. I am 76 years old and only have Social Security for income. He accepts only the copay for Delta Dental Care USA and does not add additional charges to it. He is a VERY honest Oral Surgeon. Most of my copays have been $95 or so even for a tooth broken below the gum line. He had it out in 3 minutes without pain. I have read some of the bad reviews but do not understand them. They do not sound like him. I would let him know up front if you have anxiety and tell him that you came to him because you understand he is the BEST. It always helps to make someone feel good and proud. Who knows, you may help other people get even better service the rest of the day by helping him have a better day also. My wife and I will NEVER go to another Oral Surgeon. I had Delta offices quote me $1,100 - $1,300 for a tooth pulled and a "payment plan". I went to him for that tooth and my copay was $95 TOTAL!!!! What more can I say. I have used him now for 7-8 years. (P.S. as a child I always had gas, with him I always have just novocaine and never had a problem or any pain.) Track him down and give him a try. I believe you will have a fantastic experience. By the way, I NEVER write reviews on anything or anyone. I read them a lot before I go somewhere or use someone. This oral surgeon took out my wisdom teeth at a dentist office in the OC. Once I was told I had to have them out, scheduled an appointment, took time off work, and was already in the chair at the dentist office with an IV in my arm, he decided it was the appropriate time to tell me the risks were greater than the benefits. Turns out he convinced three other patients that day to not have their wisdom teeth out and when I called the office the next day, they informed me he was no longer employed with them. Worst experience of my life. He didn't review my paperwork that stated I have high anxiety. He never talked to me about the procedure he only introduced himself. During the procedure none of the laughing gas was on and I asked him if it was working he said yes and continued yanking out my tooth! I was 100% coherent! I had to ask his assistant to take my blood pressure because when I told him my heart was beating fast he said it's from the shots then left the room. I have been to Dr. Izadi on two occasions. Both were great experiences!! (As great as getting teeth pulled can be). I have been scared to get my wisdom teeth out as long as I can remember! They told me I needed them out when I was 18. I was too scared then and just ignored every dentist that told me the same thing from then on. I figured they would grow in and I would be fine. Finally, in 2012 at the age of 30, I got a CAVITY in one of them (I only have three...born with only three). So my dentist said it HAD to come out so as to not affect other teeth around it. I decided I wanted to only get that ONE pulled. My dentist advised against it, but when I went to see Dr. Izadi, he said he would do whatever made me comfortable! I also had a huge fear of being put under. I asked him if he could pull that one with just novocaine and he said he thought that would be fine. It took longer to numb me than to pop that tooth out! There was no pain, no pressure and everything healed normally. Fast forward to today...one year later. My other two wisdom teeth had been growing in and really hurting my cheek (they were growing against it and making it feel raw). Again, my dentist said they had to come out. Again, I went to see Dr. Izadi. The assistants at the office suggest that I be put to sleep or at least have laughing gas. I told them I would try laughing gas, even though it made me super nervous! When they started administering the laughing gas, I started feeling really anxious and asked them to stop. Dr. Izadi was so patient and knew I was nervous so he gave me some time to calm down. When he came back, I asked if he could pull the remaining two with just novocaine. He said he was confident he could as long as I was okay. And I was. I m probably the exception, but I would rather be awake in my "right mind" and feel pressure than be in an altered state. Just makes me uncomfortable. One tooth was grown out and I knew it would be simple to pull. The other was halfway out, a little under the gum and connected to a nerve. Seriously though....it took Dr. Izadi about 4-5 minutes to take out the "difficult" one. I even needed a few stitches, but I felt NO PAIN. And then the "easy" tooth came right out after that! The whole procedure took 10 minutes. Dr. Izadi is so "smooth", as I told him :) He handles your mouth with finesse. He doesn't jerk you around. He's gentle, quick and efficient!! And MOST IMPORTANTLY, he does what makes you feel comfortable. Oral Surgeons before him had told me I needed to be put to sleep to get them pulled, but he was honest and was sure of himself and got it done with me awake, like I wanted. Thank you, Dr. Izadi. I really appreciate everything. I'm home now, an hour later. The pain is kicking in because the numbness is wearing off, but I don't feel nauseous or tired or out of it like I would with sedation. Dr. Izadi assured me that the procedure for pulling my large (broken) molar would take no more than 5 minutes. He went over all the painkiller options and I chose Nitrous Oxide and a local. I'd never tried "Laughing Gas" before (whooeee haven't been that high since 1965)! I barely got comfortable, started listening to the Rolling Stones (appropriate) when it was done! No pain - except for missing Mick Jagger sing "Satisfaction" all the way through! I couldn't believe it. I'd been so apprehensive and it was easy, relaxed, and no pain at all - and this is my third day of healing! Thanks Dr. Izadi - you have my highest recommendation. read more

I was referred to Dr. Izadi through Towne Center Dental Group in Santee. I have an infection in my wisdom tooth and needed it removed. I made any appointment 3 weeks in advance to be seen June 7, 2011 at 9:00. At 10:30, I was taken to the surgery room and prepared for the procedure. I was then taken out of the surgery room to a consultation room. Dr. Izadi came in and told me something about the extent of my infection affecting the molar. He never explained this extra procedure he wanted to do and when I questioned the cost and the fact that I had been waiting for an hour and a half he became angry. He said the scheduling is not his fault and that "We aren't making hamburgers here. This is real surgery." With that, he left the room. The office manager then returned and informed me that Dr. Izadi wanted them to refer me to someone else. Wow - I didn't know professionals let their feelings be hurt so easily. read more
