Haircuts were alright, but I was hoping for either a better experience or cheaper haircut than the place across the street. I can't say I got either. I live two blocks away so I really want to keep my money local, but it's becoming very difficult! I made an appointment and showed up on time. They always make you wait a few minutes even though you're on time. She did trimmers in the back and some on the top, scissors on the top, hot towel then a wash with a very lacking scalp massage (this is a job which should only be done by a girlfriend who knows what you like), a hot towel with camphor, and finally a straight razor to the neck. No product. I've been in several times and each time is a little disappointing for the $34 they're charging me. First let me preface this by telling you I have the easiest hair to cut, I've been told this and I tell the person cutting my hair just make it even, no frills. As long as its not in my eyes I don't care how it looks, I don't have to look at it, everyone else does. After getting my hair cut at I'm Sergio I notice that there are either stray hairs that don't get cut possibly because they aren't washing hair first (they'll wash after the cut). More minor grievance: The first time I went in I wasn't offered a beer, two other times they forgot to bring it after they asked what I wanted. I met Sergio once, but I had to ask him if he was the man. I like knowing the owner and having the owner know me, but he didn't seem interested. This isn't the type of service I feel comfortable in. So, I'm sorry, but my hair isn't worth $34 + $5 tip a month. It's worth half that. I tried it and didn't like it, and I have a real problem with places that don't shampoo before the cut. You should try them out though, you might like I'm Sergio! read more

This is where I take my boyfriend to get his looks in shape. They're a men's only salon that will give your guy a taste of the pampering you usually get at a women's salon, but with a manly twist. The inside looks modern and classy. There are TVs playing sports. And they offer complimentary beer. They offer great haircuts by attractive and talented hair stylists. They also offer straight razor shaves, beard trims, manicures, and face massages. My boyfriend leaves here looking great. He's normally content to look like a hobo, but he loves going to I'm Sergio. Acting on Steve T's recommendation, I tried The Express for $28. A little pricey but I received an outstanding haircut. They also offer a "clean up" that is complimentary between haircuts. The "clean up" trims around the ears to neaten it up before its time for a new haircut. read more

Stopped in at lunch for the first time and it was an excellent experience. I didn't have a reservation but they got me in quickly. They go for the gusto with beer or coffee while you are there, shampoo, excellent cut, etc. I love the classic straight razor cleanup on the back of the neck. I appreciated that the young lady cutting my hair made sure I didn't have random hairs all over my face as I was going back to work. I will definitely return for my next cut. read more

Sergio is a great guy who is easy to get along with, and has many professional and talented stylists working for him. His salon is very contemporary, providing easy-to-use online booking, social media promotions, and giveaways. I have been getting may hair cut as well as my eyebrows trimmed/waxed for about a year and half now from Charlie Rae at I'm Sergio. Charlie is just fantastic! I was sick of the 15 min chops I have been getting from the retail haircut places and I wanted to see what an upgraded men's salon would be like. I was going to go to the Style of Man across the street but I like to support more local businesses so I thought I would give this place a try. It was a good choice and I will definitely be coming back. The owner is really nice and you can tell he really cares about the business. I was greeted by name, offered coffee (too early for beer) and then had my hair done by Lori. She did an amazing job, was very precise and I left really feeling good about my look. ah, I dont know much about cutting my own hair, So I leave it to the professionals! As of this point - the price isn't too much - usually $40 to $45 (tip included) for me each visit. The girls do a great job of making me look good. and i've had a lot of conversations with them in the process of getting my haircut. and they also give you a complimentary beverage (water/ soft drinks/ bottle of fosters or something) The shampoo and massage feel nice (not the comfyiest chairs, but it's ok for 20 mintues) the products used are of good quality (no problems yet) and, I also enjoy the feeling of the warm shaving cream.. read more

I am not really a salon kind of guy but this place makes it worthwhile. Went to Cheryl on a recommendation from a friend on my wedding day. I wasn't sure what to expect. My hair was just.. there after cutting it myself for a long time. (alright it looked like crap) Cheryl went so far above and beyond to do what she could with it and the response from everyone was "it looks awesome". She knocked it out of the park and she is incredibly sweet and fun to talk to so the time you are sitting there isn't a bore fest. Everyone in there is cool, knows what they are doing and the owner got it right with customer service being number one. Even if your just a normal guy like me who doesn't spend a ton of time primping.. its worth checking out at least once. read more

My wife Carmen was doing training in the area and left me to my own devices. I was walking by the salon and decided to stop in as that I was overdo for a cut. I was greeted warmly by Denise and asked if they could take a walk in which she stated they could. She then stated that she would be the stylist performing my cut. Denise's interview of my needs was professional and her suggestions were well received. The cut was precise and the process was timely. Got a great wash from Michelle and Denise styled the cut clean and to my request. I was also impressed with Anya and Stephanie who seemed friendly and professional and had great rapport with their respective clients. As that the salon is about 1 1/2 hours from home, the chances maybe slim that I return........but I'm thinking about because it was that good of an experience. read more

This place is probably the best service and cut of anywhere I have ever been. Jazmin was awesome. Everyone was incredibly friendly. This is a completely different experience in getting a haircut than I've ever had. Heather was the receptionist and did my wash/massage and that was also incredible. I had reservations going into this because I'm pretty picky with haircuts, and I saw it was only scheduled for 25 minutes. I figured this would be a rushed job. I couldn't have been more wrong. Overall a good men's salon. I just had my third hair cut in as many months and everytime I went there I scheduled with different stylist and pretty much all of them are good in what they are doing. Also one more thing I want to mention is that I was going through all the reviews and I saw Sergio replied to all the reviews, that is really great of him, I dont know of or havent seen another business owner did that. My 'barber' has retired, so I thought I'd treat myself to a men's salon. Wow, what have I been missing?! Warm welcome, cold beverage, convenient location, ample street parking. I made a reservation online, so no need to wait in the little chairs until a stylist frees up. But to be honest, I wouldn't mind waiting at Sergio's. Hip decor, flat screens all around. Extremely relaxing shampoo and head massage. The cut/style was awesome too. Instead of telling my barber "the usual" I told Yelena to surprise me. I've been to I'm Sergio maybe a handful of times and they cut hair the best of anyone around here. It might cost a few more bucks than some place like supercuts, but they're good at what they do. I try to go there specifically when I've grown my hair out a bit more than I normally do and basically just tell them to show me something different while not making it too short. I've had maybe 3 or 4 different stylists and each gave me a haircut that I liked and grew in really nicely. Charlie even gave me some useful tips on how to style my hair. Some might consider it a little pricey, but I think it's a good deal. For instance, they also have a quick cut for $28 which is the same as the full but no hot towel and scalp massage if I remember correctly. Additionally, they're the only place I know of that offers free clean-ups of your neck and sideburns if you're a customer. Finally, it's also worth mentioning that the owner is a great guy. Even after not seeing me for at least a year, Sergio remembered me after meeting me just once or twice. He's quick with a beer once you enter and there's usually sports on. After some back and forth in my head, took the leap and made an appointment. People weren't exaggerating how great their site is and how seamless it is to make an appointment online. At 4pm I made an appointment for 6:30 with Alyssa. She was so great from start to finish. I've been back a bunch of times and really enjoy my experience and haircut. It is more expensive than a barber shop, but the elevated services and atmosphere make it worth it. Alyssa is friendly and gives a great haircut. She really cares about her work and makes sure she looks in detail when she is finished to ensure everything is even and faded perfectly. Just moved to the area about 3-4 months ago and tried out a few of the local barbershops but this one really stands out for me. It's a little pricier than most but how often do you get your hair cut? 10-12 times a year? I used the online booking system to set up a beard trim after they closed at 8pm with Anna. I arrived early and sat in the waiting area. I observed that the place was very comfortable, modern, and stylish! Being as that I have a bald head and shave it myself, I had inquired about a straight razor shave. Just to make sure there was time to get it while I was there. Anna didn't feel comfortable with the straight razor, but I was introduced to Melanie for that part. I was kind of nervous about the beard trim in general because the last one I had gotten was from the place across the street, Style of Man, and they did a terrible job and it was all around a bad experience. I went there after no trimming for over 6 months. Let the lady know that I wanted to make my beard healthy and shape it up. She had only given me a basic shaping and didn't even touch the split ends. Very dissatisfied. I told Anna all of this and told her to make it healthy again. She did take off a pretty decent amount, but I could tell that she did what she had to do. Not only did it look more refined and cleaned up, but more importantly, it was healthy again! I was very satisfied with just that. When Melanie was finished with her scheduled appointment, I hopped over to her chair. I've never had the straight razor so it was nerve racking at first but she was wonderful! I could tell from her work and conversion with her, that she is very passionate about her profession. Her scalp message (which is standard procedure) was impeccable! The quality of work that was being done was outstanding! I've never had any other kind of hair care treatment that has even come close to I'm Sergio! Top notch work! By far the best experience ever in this line of work! I highly recommend to everyone to go here!
