Spent only 1 1/2 minutes cutting my hair, did not use scissors once. Acted like he did great job. Seemed like he just wanted to process me, collect his fee, and move on to the next victim. He would be better suited to cutting hair at Fort Dix. Took over 2 months for my hair to grow back. Will never go back there.

I think that it's great idea, but it's a bit chaotic when all the bays have kids in them. My 4 yr old son caught wind of this place and had to try it out. All of his friends go to this place, so we naturally had to go. My son has been going to the same place since he was very young and has never had an issue with sitting still, but this visit there were just too many distractions. My son's hair was cut, but wasn't exactly what we were thinking. My wife ended up taking him to the place he normally goes to get a few things fixed. Nothing major - fixing the back a bit and squaring off his sideburns. Cost wasn't awful, but for the quality of his cut it certainly didn't meet expectations. On a much more positive note - they do a great job with kids that need a bit more help and are extremely patient with everyone involved - I personally witnessed this during my visit. I've been a loyal customer ever since!! Everyone there is very sweet and attentive to the needs of each client. They offer a beverage as soon as you arrive and offer to take your coat. The cool thing is, I'm always learning something new when I go there because the stylists are very knowledgable about each product. No, really, they read the ingredients on each of their products, as well as others, and they can tell you which shampoo/conditioner would work best for you. I have had a stylist accidently snip a strand or two unevenly, but after 50 years of getting hair cuts, that was the worse of it. The stylist at Alura didn't listen to me and cut my hair in such a way that made my naturally thin hair even thinner. Yep that's what she thought she should do. No texturizing, no feather cut, no precision cut. She made vertical cuts which left me feeling like my hair was butchered. I hope to find a stylist as good as the ones at Eden. I really wish that salon hadn't closed.
