Vegetable tempura and Kimchi dumpling

I am very impressed by the restaurant interior. It would be a perfect date spot. The bar area is organized and looked romantic. The food was good. We got their house sake and it paired well with the food. I think there are rooms to improve on the food. The chicken teriyaki was overcooked. I got the Peter Parker roll; it can be better with fresh shrimp tempura.

One night in Toledo, I came to Koreana to have a great meal. I read some amazing reviews on Koreana both on yelp and reddit, and decided I needed to try it. This place did not disappoint! Coming in, though i was a little worried. It is located in this strip mall, hidden from the road. Entering it, the place is very dark. I was wondering if maybe I was making a mistake coming here. It was not. It was great! The service was excellent. The server was very attentive. She routinely came by to see how we were and if we were enjoying our meal. My family all did! Our appetizer was the pork belly sampler. My brother and I both love pork belly, and this was a rather delicious version! My mom just had a bowl of miso soup, she loves that type of soup and just wanted to have that. She said it was so flavorful. My brother had the chicken katsu, which he raved about. I had a piece and can tell you it was excellent. Crunch on outside, tender on the inside, perfect! I had the spicy pork bulgogi. I have eaten bulgogi before but only beef, so i wanted to try it out but with this twist. I absolutely loved it! Spicy, tasty, great flavor, it had it all! We were too full for dessert, but i bet it would have been wonderful as well. I greatly recommend this place!

A quality Korean restaurant in Toledo! How cool. I went here on the recommendation of someone who has studied in Korea, so I felt pretty confident it would be good. It was! I ordered the beef bibimbap. When you get this (maybe any entree) it also comes with 4 side dishes (called Banchan). I don't know if you get to request certain dishes, or not. I got kimchi (great!), broccoli (yay!), something I have no idea what it was but good, and then maybe olives but I didn't try that. The bibimbap was excellent as the main dish. Also it came with a side of soup! I also got friend dumplings as an appetizer. The sauce container spilled open, soaking the dumplings, so that was a bummer (takeout order probs) but they were super good. The takeout time for an early dinner was only 35 min, so FYI.

Not open for dining until Tuesday. Ordered 3 crab kimbap and added kimchi to the rolls and a tteokbokki appetizer. Total $35.80. I noticed I was charged $1 for an extra side of kimchi to the rolls, probably a good idea to let the patron know there's additional cost to add it when I ordered it, it's just good practice. Hayley made sure to clean off the counter surface by her as well as the doors when I left, that's good practice for sure. The rolls looks good and packed at least. The tteokbokki seems a bit small for $9, even if it's an appetizer portion. Hayley advised it was enough for a meal, not in agreement. I would have ordered a second order since my hubby and I both love this dish, then again it would be a small amount for $18 worth. Their tteokbokki sauce was a bit sweet, not bad, not sure it's worth the amount for what little you get in the serving and definitely not enough to share. The crab rolls with kimchi were good. Egg rolls are a not over cooked, but tasted good anyways. I liked the crab and kimchi in the roll. They were big and filled too.

Bulgogi

Some of the food was good. The Korean version of sushi was refreshing. the bulgogi was sweet, without enough of the garlic or onion flavor. Noodles were good. Service was good. The side dish that comes with the meal - pathetic broccoli, tofu, bean, kimchi. Very small quantities stranded on a large dish. There are 10 ways you could have presented this better. The really large dish just highlighted the fact that the food was pathetic and a small volume. But overall it just felt like someone gave up on this restaurant a awhile ago. The menus were sticky and dirty. In the bathroom there were only 2 stalls and one had a broken door. The floors were also sticky and my shoes kept making a noise when I would lift them up. Whoever is responsible should make a bit more of an effort. It seems like they have a regular clientele and they just keep churning out the same stuff.

My husband and I love this place. The bibimbap is truly one of my absolute favorite dishes ever.

There are days that I just crave bibimbap because of this restaurant. Everything is so fresh. There are still a couple decorations from the last restaurant which is obscure, but that adds to the uniqueness of this place. The best is when you go on a night where it is slow, and Mr kim, the owner, serenades you on his saxophone. No matter the case you need to go and try this place out. Food is delicious, the wait is sometimes slow, but that is worth it for how good everything is. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

If you're looking for a fun place to (all you can) eat, you've found it right here at Top Pot KBBQ!…read more Admittedly, we've never done the grilling (the actual BBQ). But we have done the hot pot on at least 3 occasions...we've (even my mom and my mother-in-law) been very happy each time. The menu is humongous. You say you're a carnivore? No problem. A vegetarian? Got ya covered. Gluten free? You're probably ok (maybe a little cross contamination? Dunno). The combinations of sauces and add on spices are near endless...I calculated 6.02x10^23 possibilities. Can you get enough to eat here? Well, TPKBBQ offers free refills on all meats, seafoods, and veggies! You won't go away hungry. They do have mixed drinks and beer, but I've only ever gotten pop. The wife and brother-in-law got various bubble teas, and liked them. The service and kitchen are remarkably fast and efficient. You won't sit around waiting to eat. Atmosphere? Not bad for South Toledo! One warning. The ordering policy may seem a bit draconian, but it makes sense if you think about it. It's explained in the menu, so check it out before you go. All in all, 5 stars! We'll be back (but mostly on special occasions).

I had an outstanding meal at QQ Kitchen last Thursday. The owner and his employees welcomed and…read moreseated me in the clean, comfortable dining room. I ordered iced tea and vegetable spring rolls to begin, and decided on Happy Family with chicken and shrimp for my entree. I like to wash my hands before eating and the restroom was scrupulously clean, which always makes a good impression. I was there at 4 pm so there were not a lot of people in the dining room yet and i could tell they were running a booming business in takeout calls. The starter came quickly with my drink, followed soon by my Happy Family meal, steaming hot! It is rare to get a restaurant meal hot these days and it was so appreciated. The spring rolls were delicious and the entree was perfect. The vegetables were crisp tender and fresh. The shrimp and chicken were cooked perfectly and all were served over a plentiful bowl of white rice in a large bowl in a light gravy. (Brown rice is also available if you desire). I had a doctor's appointment earlier so had not eaten that day and i devoured this meal. SO GOOD! There was enough that i could have taken some home but the food was so good i just kept eating. While i am not a drinker, QQ Kitchen does offer alcoholic beverages. Two workers came in, sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks with their meals. One of the men said to me, "Isn't this place great? Best food in Toledo!" I had to agree. The servers kept my iced tea filled and even gave me one to go. The bill was reasonable. This restaurant is highly recommended. Well trained, friendly servers, the owner was there cooking among his cooks, and it was a peaceful, yummy experience. There are also Thai and Korean menu choices here. Many vegetarian options are available, as well as "choose your protein" options. Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall off Secor, wheelchair accessible, children and families welcome.

Tonight was our lucky night as we were seated within minutes of our arrival. QQ Kitchen is very unassuming upon entry. Small sitting area that was filled with people waiting for their take-out orders. The dining area is small and decor is simple. There is one TV monitor and tonight, "Triple D" (Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives) was on. How appropriate, huh? Menu has a lot to offer making it challenging to arrive at a snap decision. Many great choices. We started off with Spring Rolls. Very refreshing taste and the peanut dipping sauce was quite tasty. Our dinner selections: Drunken Noodles; and Pad Thai w Shrimp. Both these dishes were excellent and very fairly priced for the food quality and portion size. A great deal of foot traffic for take-out orders during the entire time we were in the restaurant. Good sign. We had a fantastic meal and we will definitely be back yo visit QQ Kitchen. Well done!

Unfortunately our waitress was very busy and did not thoroughly explain the ordering process to us, so we were initially very confused. After some clarification, we were told that because we were a larger party, each person in our group of eight had to get the all-you-can-eat hot pot & Korean bbq. For that combo it was approximately $40/person. We each had to order our food items from ONE tablet that consisted of all the items in the combo..... so you can imagine how long that took per person. While waiting, I went ahead and got some appetizers from the buffet. The edemme was excellent, as were the chicken wings and fries. When it was finally my turn to pick my items, I understood why it took so long for the tablet to get to me. There's SO MUCH to choose from. I feel like each person took AT LEAST five minutes with the tablet, which ultimately adds up on timing, depending on your party size. I feel like two or three tablets would've been more efficient for our table, but I don't even know if that was an option. I chose the seafood base broth and a variation of meats, veggies and rice. It was cool cooking and trying all the different foods. There were even a couple of food items that I really enjoyed the flavor of! The tablet stayed at the table so we could order more of whatever we liked, but I felt like it was in the way and getting unsanitary after people started eating. In addition to that, both grills kept burning black. It would literally burn NO MATTER how much of that oil spray we used before cooking our food. They ended up switching both grills out at least 2 times during our dinner. The food is definitely a good bang for your buck, just hoping for a better overall experience the next time round.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the Vege Love Roll (the sweet potato was so unique and delicious)!! The Spicy tuna roll and Mickey's On Fire were also very good. We definitely would return!
